You never understand until you’re actually a mother in this situation. All you want is this best possible life for your child, and it’s devastating when you feel like you can’t make that happen.. Thank you for sharing!
Yesss, I’ve always wanted Rokeya to do an interview so I can hear her story. I’ve followed her for ages on Instagram and honestly admire her for her incredible vision and work ethic. So inspiring!!

@@humz122f3 I think the point is that yes high end slow fashion will cost a lot to make, and it's good she's providing it paying people fair wages, but she shouldn't promote it as miraculously 'affordable' when it isn't any more affordable to the average person than other high end brands.
It’s affordable for a high-end slow fashion brand. You should see the prices of other brands in the same category; it’s frustrating when consumers think so black and white
So she became homeless. Because she had a baby. But went to uni? And says her family was proud. Doesn’t make sense. So she had family support. So wasn’t really homeless was she?
A lot of people in London boroughs who don’t have a temporary or permanent flat or house are labelled as being homeless by their local council/local authority and are placed in hostels in the borough, this happened to my cousins. I’m guessing here ‘homeless’ doesn’t mean being out on the streets begging or living inside tents

How amazing, the day you were making your business plan you get 5 jobs offers, this has me in tears! And it’s crazy how the universe works, no job for 18 months and this led you to creating your business. Love this video ❤️🥹🥹

This podcast is truly so inspiring. Coming from a working class family and also being an ethnic minority this touched me xx

Is £400 for a jacket affordable though
Well, it’s a high end brand and it’s slow fashion, of course the price will be high end too.
