For me there is an element of "a job to be done" mentality because I'm a makeup artist and if everything in my kit was super high-end like Lancome or Laura Mercier I'd be broke lol but of course there are those high-end products that I have that are worth the money. It really is all about balance, which i struggle with because of the way i grew up, I have to remind myself that luxury is okay too lol. But I still do believe that some people have the mentality that "if it cost more it must be better" because there are some bomb proudects that are cruelty free and Made with Fair Labor laws that are considered low end brands that don't get alot of recognition

Also I totally love the Nars blushes and the concealer you mentioned but it’s like once was nice to buy it and try it. I like the look of their sleek packaging too but wear tests matter. If something out performs and we can save money-hooray! Thanks for putting in the work and sharing with all of us! Sometimes for blush though, I almost prefer a little less pigmented so their more full proof, require less blending, and are easier when you’re in a rush. I love all the lipstick colors in this video. They’re so pinky almost nudey but just super wearable for everyday!

The blue maybe line mascara you mentioned has a waterproof one and it works so well! I accidentally bought the non waterproof one when it ran out and I can tell a big difference. Definitely runs a lot more easily. LOVE the waterproof one, I wore it for so many dance competitions and it lasted all day! Also first time watching one of your videos. I really enjoyed this side by side comparison! Great job 😊

Great info! Usually I see Milani Luminoso blush suggested as a dupe but I feel like the pink you chose is a better choice.

I think that's because some people prefer a certain shade of blush (ya know, undertones and all that)? I dunno, that'd be my guess
I’ve seen people compare it to luminoso, but that one looks too peach on me and isn’t a peach that looks good on me.
