I understand what you’re saying cause I have the Holy Spirit of promise are used to not understand the scripture but now I do because of people like you helping us to understand. I have a lot of regrets in my life, but the only thing that keeps me going is to know that God loves me, and gave his only begotten son that whoever believe in him shall not perish, but the free gift of eternal life
Working helping someone if you can someone encouragement I’m not sure if I will have any rewards but even when you’re at work, you’re helping someone you think about it. I do catering. I catered weddings and they give me a wage. God bless you, Pastor. God has blessed you. Amen.
Amen! Minutes 36-38 hit me like a whole truckload of bricks. "Give them a well if you want, but give them the Gospel first." I have been studying James (along with other passages) for the last few months because I've recently been feeling like I need to "do more." I was following along with you in my Bible, pausing and reading, and this sermon made it so clear for me. I want to serve him, but I'm going to stop worrying about "doing enough" and just trust, love, and follow Him. Thank you!
You’re a good pastor because the things you say, you point out when people make a documentary of once see Bill see as not being true pointed out as being erroneous we know that once you have been saved, you are saved until the day redemption God‘s gifts and Collins or without repentance God called me to be a saintand I am a saint because I am washed and the blood work is that I believe on the one that he has sent sent into the world I believe he is my savior. He did the work I didn’t do anything.
I also personally see the judgement seat of christ as purifying. Think about it. It burns away the wrong we do and leaves only us and our good works. Praise God for the Son!
Amen pastor Jesse! I think you just became my favorite pastor 🫡 thank you. Glory to God for your understanding of salvation. For years I was confused about this until recently
praise God for the book of James, it clears up so many questions when you have eyes to see and ears to hear. You know the bible speaks about those eyes that cant see and those ears that cant hear. God Bless best regards Ed Hoening
Yes, a great preacher! So interesting how fewer people listen to solid teaching like this. The proud, self-righteous world loves the good works gospel. Tragic!
That’s true Pastor so true I’m a living example of when I do wrong and I do horrible thank you Pastor but I do have an issue with you my other brothers free Grace UA-camr you did go against. I don’t know why you would do that but it’s OK who am I? I love all of you. Some called to love the saints of God we’re not, but I am the saints of God because mercy has come to us. We have mercy and mercy.
I believe I know who you are referrencing. We decided to let those people alone as they came against us very harshly. Thanks for the kind words. - Trent
Having works is profitable unto others. Romans 4:5 tells that those who work not their faith is counted unto righteousness. Works have the impact of helping others and even possibly drawing others to believe in Christ. Works can bring glory to God by being a servant. We are saved through by Grace through Faith in Christ alone.
Amen! Excellent where you used multiple scripture references/comparisons, to prove NO ONE has ever been or will ever be saved by works (including "OT saints")!!! Dr. Cucuzza's recent sermon ... "How Much of the Bible is for Us Today", is also wonderful to help people understand this truth!
We work all day just try to get by in a corrupt system. We are called to love our wives, our children, and to do good to the neighbor. I guess they aren’t works being good to your neighbor simply means not to do anything bad to your neighbor, I don’t know what works for my brother, all I know is I try to share the gospel is that Work? I try to get people to understand but I’m weak. I am not my brother. I know I’m saved, but I’m not good. Pray for me, please.
I don’t know Pastor help me. I’m crying a lot. I have pain pain and I know that we all have come shorter that God would send his son to redeem mankind. That’s all I know that’s all I know this body of mine is tired.
Thoughts on Eph 2:10 vs James 2:15 does Eph 2:10 guarantee that the faithful has been ordained to do good works so it is impossible to be save with out having doing good work not to be confuse that works is needed for salvation vs avoiding doing good works 😂
That's not what he's saying..Did you listen to the video? He said you can have faith and no works..or in other words you can be a Christian but be unprofitable if you live your life for yourself.
Faith is something you choose to have. You choose to believe something or not believe something. Faith without any works will save you into eternal life. Faith without any works will not be much profit to anyone though. Compared to works, faith is obviously passive in that aspect. You have to get up and be active and do something to actually profit people. My faith alone won’t go and get a loaf of bread for my poor brother. My works will. Nevertheless, our faith in Jesus Christ saved us into eternal life; guaranteed. - Trent
In James 2:14, the word ‘him’ in ‘can faith save him‘ is not a reflexive pronoun, so it doesn’t refer to the man without faith, but refers to the ‘poor’ as in ‘but ye have despised the poor’ in James 2:6. This is because both the pronoun ‘him’ and ‘poor’ are both accusative, masculine and singular! Therefore, James 2:14 is saying, ‘ can faith save the poor’? This again shows that James is not writing about losing salvation without good works.
We are in total agreement about the no loss of salvation or works to maintain salvation, but that understanding of James 2:14 cannot be correct. The “him” is referring back to the audience of James. He is talking to already SAVED believers. He says that “at the judgment” your “faith” will profit you nothing. The judgment isn’t BASED on faith or non faith here. This is clearly a reference to the judgment seat of Christ to all believers BASED upon their works. So James’ point is: BELIEVER, you need to work beyond that of just having faith. The work is to “profit,” and not to be saved. It is for rewards in heaven. Your conclusion of deducing “him” to only mean the poor would (if I interpret you correctly) only result in the same issue that many have with James 2. Thanks for all of the support Kris. - Trent
I follow your logic Trent, yet the grammar for some reason doesn’t quite fit this semantic understanding. I’m puzzled why the pronoun ‘him’ is not reflexive. Besides the word ‘save’ does not always mean save from hell, so perhaps this means the poor are not being saved from their poverty or starvation. Anyway, I much appreciate your response and will give this more thought. I know grammatical and semantic meaning don’t always match in Greek! :)

Sadly can't find a local church that teaches the true gospel like this one.
Where do you live?
I understand that.

How do we overcome the false teachers teach James the wrong way saying without work you are not saved that’s what they say but we know that’s not true
More like works is the evidence of faith
That's not what he's saying..Did you listen to the video? He said you can have faith and no works..or in other words you can be a Christian but be unprofitable if you live your life for yourself.
do you teach that salvation is by faith alone for everyone, including jews, now and in the future?
Yes. Faith alone in Christ alone from Adam to the very last man to live. Anyone can be saved, and they can all be saved the same way.

Is faith active or passive? Pastor ...
