  • Learn how program and install the Linear Delta-3 Radio Receiver (model DR p/n DNR00001) and Linear Delta-3 1-Button Remote (model DT-1 p/n DNT00002A).
    The Linear Delta-3 radio equipment was used on Raynor, Overhead, Genie and other brands of garage door operators in the 1980's and 1990's. The radio equipment was very popular because it is easy to install, easy to program and very reliable.
    The radio equipment is still in use and if you're interested in replacing an existing receiver or remote you can find them here:

    I wish there was an app I could use with our old Linear Delta 3's. I have 3 doors in my shop and it would be nice to just use my phone.

      Linear doesn't have a product but you could check out Amazon. There are a number of aftermarket garage door opener wi-fi connection products available. You might want to check out the eKyro Smart Garage Door WiFi Controller amzn.to/3z8CyLr
      We haven't tested or used this item but it has gotten a lot of positive reviews. Full disclosure, we're also an Amazon Associate so if you use our link we may earn a small commission. There are also a number of other products that may work the same or better. We have plans to test some of these items in the near future and will post a video with the results. Best of luck.

    Do you have any tips to increase the strength of signal/range of my Linear garage remote and Linear Delta 3 Receiver?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  Місяць тому

      The first thing I'd recommend (if you haven't done so already) is to put a fresh battery in your remote. Next, double check that the wire antenna coming out of the radio receiver is hanging straight down towards the floor. And lastly, if your operator has an LED or CFL low energy light bulb, remove it and replace it with an incandescent light bulb (the low energy bulbs can cause interference). - Brian

    great video! is there a way to program the Linear Delta 3 to your vehicle garage door buttons?

      Thanks for watching!
      If your vehicle is equipped with Homelink then you'll be able to use your remote to program the button in your vehicle. Try following these instructions:
      For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink® buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.)
      Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (usually located on your visor, overhead console, or mirror), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
      Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)

    Thank you so much! Very useful video!
    I have 2x Delta 3 Receivers (DNR00001) for 2x garage doors and 3 remote controllers (two button each, Linear Elect. type DT2 with the indication "Frequency A" which is unclear to me) since many years. Two of the remote controllers gave up (strangely, I also tried to reprogram but could not make them work again) and only the last one is working. How can I find a universal controller which I could clone to my only remaining unit? From reading it looks like frequency is 310 MHz, how can I be sure this is the right frequency? Any suggestion of a good product? What I should check before ordering, say via Amazon or?

      Why not just replace the two remotes with the same make & model of remote so you know they'll be compatible? You can get the DT-2D Linear Delta-3 2-Button Remotes here: www.garagedoorzone.com/DT-2D-Linear-Delta-3-2-button-Garage-Door-Opener-Remote-310Mhz_p_34.html

    Is there a method to programming up down and stop to a 1 button remote?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  Рік тому

      You would need a 3-channel radio receiver and remote. This is only a 1-channel so no that would be possible.

    Can I program the garage door remote in the visor of my Ford truck to this receiver?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  Рік тому +1

      Possibly. If you have a working Linear remote then you may be able to copy the signal from that remote to your vehicle.
      If your vehicle is equipped with Homelink then you can try the following programming method:
      For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink® buttons in the vehicle, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds.

      @@Garagedoorzone thanks for the info. I just tried it, but unfortunately it didn’t work. Following the steps, when at the part of holding both the old remote beside the home link and simultaneously holding the desired button, that button stays red until it goes out completely. It doesn’t flash at all. The garage door opens and closes repeatedly, I’m guessing from also holding the button in on the original remote.
      The door actually opens and closes partially at first, then goes into full cycles.

      @@robkenny1529 You may want to try and put a fresh battery in the remote & try programming again. If that doesn't work then reach out to Homelink by contacting them here: www.homelink.com/contact

    Is there a way to program the Delta 3 to a LiftMaster 890MAX remote?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  Рік тому

      No. The Delta-3 is compatible with Linear Delta-3 receivers and the 890MAX is compatible with Chamberlain/Liftmaster openers & radio receivers. They are not compatible with each other.

    • @TheBudmen

      I just bought an 894LT lift master remote with cloning. Will that work? I bought a universal remote which was able to clone the code but will not work with my lift master 2.0. I bought the 894LT in hopes it can clone the delta and I’m sure it will work with my lift masters.

    hey any chance I can program an overhead door wireless keypad with the delta 3?

    • @Garagedoorzone
      @Garagedoorzone  Рік тому

      I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if you can program an Overhead brand keypad to a Linear Delta-3 receiver? If that's the case then the answer is no. Different manufacturers use different programming and frequencies for their radio equipment.
