As a reviewer your followers would like to know how good the TVs are for upscaling 1080p, we need you to tell us about colour bandind in lower resolution 1080p, unlike Brian tech therapy all he does is continually show 4k clips, he's refusing to show us or tell us the upscaling

Upscaling in every name brand tv is fine. People also don’t realize if you add an ATV or Roku or Firestick that THOSE devices are then doing all the upscaling.

Great stream KG. I got it right. At 53KG theres a distinct green tint to me on C4 and pink on the qds. The G4 looked clean. I would have liked to see gaming on standard mode on all tvs to compare.

So... Is the green tint and magenta tint on the LG C4 and S90D respectively just something you see on camera? Or do they look the same to the naked eye? Because it looked to me like the S90D was struggling to display anything green while the LG C4 was vibrant with it (likely due to the tint). I'd like to know which one is able to display better more close to the original colors because I'm looking to buy one myself.
I went from s95c to g4. I can tell u the colors are still extraordinary. But the best thing about it is the 3d pop, extremely clear image and detail, oh and the fact that it wont constantly fail like shitsung

lg g4 practically the same panel as the LG G3, according to several analysts, it improved in image processing, with the Alpha 11, S95D presented a new panel, in some scenes it loses to G4, but S95D can improve with updates, I think the G4 is already maximum
Processing changes everything, the new chip will be utilized better and better with future firmware updates

KG you mentioned that you will be using a calibrated C4 as your go-to editing screen. I was wondering why the C4 and not G4. I'm looking for a screen to use as a monitor and I just cannot on good conscience get the C4 over the G4. Even if I won't be using it in full brightness, its has much better highlights 3D depth.
I don’t have it yet but want it in 42” size it would be a G4 if I could utilize a 55” but it be too big for where I want to put it.
Also with the price difference of each model, i think they are all great in their own price range tbh

Every time I see the LG C4 using Dynamic Tone Mapping correctly, I doubt whether to buy it or the S90D, I don't care about Rec.2020 coverage since neither model reaches 90% and most content should being made in DCI-P3 for a long time, the green tint and the lower brightness in game mode are the only things that really bother me.
But I'm also bothered by Samsung's most basic remote control, which doesn't allow quick navigation between hundreds of personal videos (and others) on the HD/SSD and doesn't allow you to easily jump videos to any given point on the timeline. Even typing in the search field of any app becomes more difficult.
I also don't buy TVs every year, so update support is important, and LG supports up to webOS 28 for this year's models, as well as coming with Google Chromecast built-in. While at Samsung, this is unknown and they removed the Google assistant, I used it on a The Frame, which means 1 less assistant for a so-called Smart TV.
Tv's became soo good that not much to say ahh.. 😁

You seem to be using a single source (Xbox) to feed all 4 TVs and splitting the HDMI signal. Isn't this method flawed? You can only calibrate the console output according to one of the panels, then the other 3 will suffer.

I didn't get a bad C4 they trade blows it varies and it depends what mode you are watching with the TV there are times where the C4 looks brighter than the S90D but more often than not its not S90D is more capable but if you were to use DTM on C4 it can look brighter than the S90D with DTM on because they have different behaviors, much like the G4 can look brighter than the S95D but its not.
Ordered 77 inch C4 but thinking about returning it before its shipped. I am thinking to buy a s90C instead. Can you give an advice? Does motion interpolation still has alot artifacts on the C4 compared to S90C? Also how about the brightness difference? I paid only $2100 including tax btw

What's going on with the C4 after 1:45:33 ? Most of the times it looks brighter overall or at least the highlights look brighter than on any other TV. Can't figure out what you did to it and seems a bit sus. That's why Classy was asking what tone mapping you are applying at 2:04:50. You can even see that the C4 is slightly brighter than the G4 on that blue/green image at 2:20:51. But it's weird cuz on the Toronto skyline, the C4 appears the most desaturated at 2:01:05. Maybe the camera is reacting strangely to it because it pushes more green?
2:10:00 Surprising to see the greens looking much more natural on Samsung than on LG, used to be the other way around. I think LG´s trying too hard with it´s color booster to compete with QD-OLED, those greens look radioactive to me 😅
Hard to say what it’s supposed to look like for the demo but yeah the greens are an interesting difference this year more saturated for sure on the LG TVs.

All comparison is total wrong, you must make sure the same brightness for all TVs before comparison, do like this:
-After adjust color mode of all TVs, use a 100% white photo/video display on all TVs, use a device to measure the brightness of all TVs and adjust their brightness in the same value. I recommend measuring brightness at the center of the screen.
-Test with sample video. If you change another color mode on a TV, you must measure and adjust again white brightness of that TV (same above way) before comparison.

No brightness isn't touched. They all will be at max brightness since its HDR you don't want to reduce this usually. they are all in filmmaker mode. I rarely touch SDR for comparisons other than game mode there is too many variables involved with making it fair. HDR however is easy you just put it in filmmaker mode out of the box this is the fairest way to do apples vs apples out of the box.
@@TechWithKG So, use 100% white HDR video and adjust brightness of all TVs at the same value. If i am not wrong, we can adjust brightness of TV in HDR video.
@@TaiLe-dr5ve No thats not how it should be its not like SDR brightness setting should be at 100 in HDR or you are going to lose HDR impact that is the case for most TVs. The HDR content is what will deliver you the correct brightness its supposed to if the TV is follow EOTF correctly.
G4 is a bit sharper like a Sony but it seems to Crush Blacks a little, S95D better shadow detail based on this I'd take the S95D over the G4, I hate Black Crush.

QD OLED is not a better technology, it is only when the QD OLED does everything better and QD OLED does not do that. As long as one does this better and the other does that better, neither is the better technology. That is also what is the most reliable technology.
It literally is a better technology though, colors are brighter and more pure, panel uniformity is better, what does WOLED do better than QD-OLED?

Lg g4 is winner mostly because a95l is last year model and Samsung did experiment with matt coating,but G4 is still amaizing tv.If Lg asimilated qoled tech,that will be win win situation for them and for consumers.@@eugenecia9424

It certainly won't be the Samsungs. I don't want a matte finish and a black box. I already have enough equipment in my TV cabinet, I always hang my TVs on the wall. QD OLED is a different technology, with the G4 it has been proven that it is not the better technology. For me, brightness, white, black and detail are important, so G4 for me.
How can ppl like the G4 over S95d? G4 blacks are blown out. The clouds looks like shit. It has banding aswell..Its has washed colors sometimes ..Only good thing about G4 is it catches the eye sometimes and makes some object 3D. But overall S95D calibrated is soooo much better
