Yeeessss. Thank you so much! I pressed it for the first time just now and scared the sh** outta myself! 😂😂😂
Fam! Before this, the samples have ONE volume setting, and it's 11. This is such a great tip.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Finally someone explain it so easy thanks so much u just save me from returning my unit 😎👌🏼👌🏼
Question so I did the shift parameter but the volume seem very low how do u raise the volume I a little bit high like around mid or should I just read map to the mic knop thanks let me know
Thank you sir, been having trouble getting my samplers playing this just blessed me 🙏
Thank you bro, I just cop'd me one of these and needed this info plus more. I truly appreciate ya for posting this answer
Thank you Mo, ez pz🤜🏼
I better option is to midi map the scamper volume knob is to use tune up fader contour knobs. This way you get to still use both microphones.
Thank you 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Fam! 🎉🚀
Thank you thank you thank you!! You are the Man!!
Glad i could be of help
Thanks alot been trying to figure this out
i just ordered my rane one , and i was thinking where is sampler volume , i was going to cancel my order , but this video saved me , i hope it worth to buy the rane one , thank u very much
Yes you made a grate choice with the RaneOne. The mic 2 volume knob is perfect the the sampler volume, thats the beauty of Midi mapping and customization. Enjoy 🙌
Thank You for that, You're the man.
My pleasure. Any other questions feel free...
Thank you!
It was so simple and it works!!
Thanks for checking out the video
Thnx Mo......Salute
Anytime
thank you dj
You're very welcome. Any questions feel free to ask
Thanks for taking the time to create this informative content and sharing your knowledge. I don't have the Rane One controller... yet, but this video gives me an idea for something I want to be mapped on the Rane Seventy. Can Mute/Silent Cue be mapped to a pad?
Great Video...2 thumbs up!
Thanks for the support. Actually there's no need for silent cue on the Rane One. The platters don't have the drag start like turntables so when you push the play/cue button on the Rane One it starts on the beat. Silent cue is most needed using eaither traditional turntables or the Rane 12s
have you noticed that the master output dont match up with the uv meters? kind of dont know what my master volume is metering at
I have two questions brother… why not map it to the Decks Contour knob not the Crossfader Contour knob but the Deck Contour knob … since the channel/ up-bars/ faders feel a little heavy/ stiff and unless you’re a scratch DJ that uses the upfaders to apply scratch techniques which o do like but since these Rane ones upfaders specially feel a little heavy/ stiff to do those kind of routines then assigning it to the Deck Contour knob which is for the upfaders is for me a good choice/ option to go for… another one is that… I do use the Aux line input for my BellyDancers iPhones to play their specific songs from their phones or violinists that need my rca input for her thing and if I assign my sampler volume to my Mic 2 knob I think when I click on the switch to switch it to Aux in on the Mic 2 channel then I think it wouldn’t work and there would be no feedback I think?… and one last question… if I do want to reset and change everything back to the way it was before in the beginning before mapping… how to I do that?… because let’s say after a while I want to like have the Deck Contour knob back for that purpose to make the upfaders cut faster or slow and leave the sampler volume the way it was with the shifting and parameter knob combo… how do I do that? Resetting/ changing the things back the way the were before mapping? … specially if I have to change back to the combo of shifting and turning the parameter knob to volume up and down the sampler… which is 2 functions 2 buttons and changing it back it would be coming from one function one button only which would be the Deck Contour knob and now to 2 different buttons (shift and parameter knob) to make the function of controlling the volume of the sampler… so how would I do that? If I want to reset things back if I want to change it back at some point? … thanks for your input in advance brother 🙏 I greatly appreciate it 🙏 … and thanks for this video that helped me mapping my Rane one brother. 🙏🙏 Just those questions if you could answered would be greatly appreciate it if you could please 🙏 thank you brother.
Okay to answer your first question. I chose to personally map the sampler to the volume 2 knob because i do not use 2 mics on the controller. I have a small mixing board that i run the RaneOne into and it gives me 10 channels of freedom to do as i please. For example i can run 5 mics/ instruments for clients or external audio devices if needed without having to worry about not enough inputs on the controller. Having an external mixer also adds plenty of headroom to your sound system including full 3 band EQ for Mics and all devices and if you have a more advanced mixer you can add effects and compression. I would highly recommend an external mixer in your situation as you described the type of events you cater to. Second question: You can easily revert any button or knob you mapped back to its original state by simply opening the midi mapping section click the control you wish to change back and press the Enter key while the blue mapping box is showing and that specific mapping will be Reverted.
@@djmostyles thanks a lot for your response and for taking your time to do it brother 🙏 … I appreciate it… I actually already tried assigning the sampler volume to the Decks Contour knob and it works super perfect for me as I don’t use that knob and when I assigned it it left the upfaders volume/ contour at the normal default curve which is gradually so it works super perfect for me for my purpose but I do scratch though so my fader knob definitely set it up to the sharpest cut and the most tight curve… question though… im definitely interested in your suggestion of getting a small mixing board but I want something good and small and quick to set up (for portability) as a mobile DJ you know less bulk and good to transport/ move around but with good quality… so which model and brand do you recommend? … thanks 🙏
Bro How Can i Set Up midi if i Only want Use Shift and Volume fader for sample volume ? It dont identify the shit button
Thank you for that. Wondering if there is a way to map the Sampler to the FX?
No unfortunately there isn't. The RaneOne doesn't have built in on board effects. You can only access/trigger effects within serato
What about with Virtual DJ Pro 2021?
Appreciate this.. have you figured out a way to add efx to your Mic 1 (echo for example)
You cannot add the effects to the mic. The RaneOne doesn't have on board effects. The only effects you have access to are Serato software effects
Buy a second mixer with effects for mic
What’s up bro, thanks for that tip. Great video.
I have a question for you. Do you know how to keep the same volume on the crossfader from the rane one? Another words, when using the crossfader, as you slide it Accross, the volume tends to drop right in the middle and then raises up again as you get it Accross to the other side to mix in the next track. If you know how to help me figure this out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
The crossfader contour knob at the front should be turn all the way right on FAST.
@@djmostyles ok, thanks for your response. I’ll give it a try.
Just to clarify, is the Beta from Serato to add Sampler Volume you mentioned a patch? Not finding it....
The Shift and parameter option for sampler volume is the official solution Serato has released. Mapping sampler volume to Mic 2 is a work around if you don't like the other way. Make sure you're updated to the latest release of seratodj
Nvmd Dumb question lol Upgraded to newest Serato release thanks
