  • Phrasal Verb Masterclass: Are you ready to learn over 150 phrasal verbs in English? Phrasal verbs are difficult to learn and remember because it’s often hard to guess their meaning from context, and because they usually sound very similar to each other. In this video, first I will give you my strategy for memorizing phrasal verbs. Then you’ll learn over 150 phrasal verbs, from everyday ones such as “turn on” and “pick up”, to phrasal verbs used in the office, and more. If you want to take your learning of English phrasal verbs even further, buy my book, 100 Practical English Phrasal Verbs: www.engvid.com/to/alexphrasal...

    I really appreciate it. I have a question. At 23: 07 you talk about Start off. What is the difference of Start and start off? I was confused. Can I use start instead of Start off? If yes, when should I use Start off, and when should I use start?

    ●My mathematics is bad
    OR
    ●My mathematics are bad??
    Plzz reply

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  Рік тому

      While it is plural in form, it is still considered a singular noun. The correct form is “Mathematics is.” Your sentence is very uncommon as well. It would be more common to say “My math is bad” or “I’m bad at math/mathematics.”
