I had Kumho tires in my first car, a 1993 Toyota Tercel. I abused that car to no avail and it refused to die lol.

Kumho also has 3 plants in China, one in Vietnam, & one in Macon, GA.

I have the 16’ Toyota Avalon XLE 3.5 V6 268hp naturally aspirated. Toyota v6 engine is smooth. No ticking or loud noise from the engine and I have 292k miles on it. Transmission is flawless. I would love a Camry XSE.
I have a 2018 Avalon. I've never had to kick in the 'passing gear' to pass anyone. It goes like a scared rabbit if you want it to and if driven casually it gives me 31 to 33 mpg on the highway. The smooth 3.5 L engine is fantastic.
that's why you by a Toyota, reliability and longevity, with normal maintenance. 96 taco 4wd, passed on to son 415,000mi,2006 tacoma 4wd dbl cab new frame, now winter and hunting truck 176000mi,2014 avalon limited 81,000 show room condition.. My personal mechanic, the Toyota sales manager,and several maintenance dept people all want to buy the truck and the avalon for themselves , I tell them not forr sale. I live in snow belt and trucks have seen a lot of off road when hunting no rust

I have a V6 Camry. 2017 with like 35k miles. Never getting rid of it.

My daughter found a 2018 Camry that she really likes. She traded a Chrysler New Yorker van for it. She finally has a car that is on the road more than in the repair shop. 😊

V6 Camrys are the best
The 2.5 4L was much more impressive. Decent power and the best fuel economy without it being a hybrid. I get 30mins combined, and 42-43 mpg high way only. Can drive from Bay Area to LA 400+ drive in one tank!

You blame strict government emissions standards. Many automakers got rid of V8 and V6 going turbos 4 inline cylinders
Yup, turbos make more power with less fuel consumption (assuming you don't drive with a led foot)
But the downside is more pressure on the engine to make it ware out much sooner.
So basically the car manufacturers and the government emissions standards are both in it together to make the corporations more money while making the people pay for it.

Still got my 2015 Avalon V6 with only 85k miles. After hearing this news i'm never getting rid of it.
My 06 Rav4 3.5L offers 268hp and gave 23-25mpg mixed. Test drove a Subaru XT turbo but like my torquey NA V6. Turbos and blowers are higher maintenance, by default.
Engine is good but the 8 speed is bad.. Lots of weird herky jerky behavior at low speed/rolling stops. Gets stuck locking/unlocking torque converter in gears 2-8. Really annoying when transitioning from cruising throttle to full throttle. The six speed was much better and also performed just as well in acceleration tests.
I had an 84 Camry in Western New York. I ran it throw 6 ft. snow drifts. You couldn't kill the thing.
The quality of Toyota in Australia is not that good, they are all made in Thailand.

You know it’s bad at Toyota when you got gr corollas burning down and getting warranties deny on them.
@Alexis5293 you know it's also bad when people don't care about how bad the 3 cylinder set up they offer fails it's like these people are blind.
Modern engines with a lot of complicated internals and overhead cams are not compatible with heavier grade oils either.

Looking at a 2009 for a daily to replace one with 265k. It's the 4 cylinder and i thought 2007-8 were the oil burner years but i read reviews and some complaints for oil consumption. The owner says no issues and it's super clean. 160k for $3500 but it's a 5 speed.
This must be Scotty's 100th RIP video. He'll be back again to give us the news that shakes the whole car industry in the next video.

The top speed of the Camry use to be 130 mph. The 2025 Camry goes 117 mph. I can see the Toyota Camry being discontinued in the future. Toyota is going downhill
We need to find good mechanics to boost the top speed and performance of Camrys going forward.

Fastest road in the US is 85mph. Why does 117 vs 130 make a difference, unless your racing it at the track.

Everybody is lowering their top speeds in the name of acceleration and efficiency. The 2025 Camry is faster and better on gas than the previous model and only costs $30 to fill the gas tank. As long as the top speed is higher than a pickup truck that’s all that matters

I had Pirelli tires on a 6 cyl Mustang. They handled well but were too stiff a ride. I had my tire guy put Cooper tires on it. Softer handling but I didn't buy this car to race. Ride was much better. NOW, The Camry is not anywhere as good a ride as the big Toyota. My Avalon is sweeeet. Too bad Toyota stopped making them. Since I am your age Scotty, it may be my last car.

I believe that the Camry is the basis for the Highlander and the Corolla is the basis for the Rav4. I only have an Avalon and a Tahoma and a 4Runner. My brother has the Highlander and a 4Runner.

I had Yokohama tires on my 2015 Toyota Camry XSE 4 cylinder and I have Goodyear Wrangler tires on my 2021 Ford F150 XLT Sport 4x4.
If you were selling a car with 4000 miles you really hate, would you say the car is a piece of junk? Probably not. They'd hear a goofy excuse about the ride or something. I wouldn't sell my 2020 Camry, with that crappy 8-speed, to a person without telling them about all the problems with the car. None of them believed a Toyota would have the problems until they drove it. I knew how to duplicate some of the issues and also offered to show the dealers how to duplicate. None of the dealers would let me show them. They already knew of the problems. I showed potential buyer the receipts from the dealer saying nothing was wrong and the problems were normal. I sold the car to a dealer when the prices were stupid high before it's second scheduled oil change. I didn't agree with the 10k mile oil change and had it changed more often until I decided it wasn't worth keeping in fear of it being a money pit. I feel bad for the person who bought that piece of junk. I was happy buying my first new Camry and a whole lot happier when I dumped it. The 2018 Camry was the start of the Toyota downfall and quality issues. It was a 50/50 chance of getting a proper working car. Toyota adopted the big three method of putting out junk and let the service bulletins fix it over the years while quietly hiding and trying to fix some of the problems.
If I had to drive an moderately economical and practical vehicle with an automatic transmission, that would be it.

I never cared for Pirelli tires, my 2017 Mustang GT came with those, I switched to Michelin, it rode & drove better and quieter.
I have a 2010 v6 camry with 165,000 miles and still get 32 mpg on the road. If necessary will cruise comfortably across Nebraska at 90 mph at less gas mileage

I got a 2.5L SE CAMRY, it covers almost every features, except the 360 degree camera.
I got a 2018 TLX AWD V6 now this thing a beautiful machine and it got me 34 Mpg on the highway to Newyork from Boston

Even if you get the 4 cyl, you still have to worry about the engine having internal issues and a possible recall, looks like all legacy car manufactures are having issues, production, labor, QC, recalls, and making a profit etc

I got mine in April. I love it. Could pass on the sunroof. Supposedly alot of issues with it. Idk, I don't use it. I do wish the seats were more comfortable tho. Last car for me for 20 years hopefully.

The problem is the Camrys are fugly asf. The newer gen are more sexy. Given time, Toyota will undoubtly make a GR or TRD version.
My 235 35 19 Pirelli P Zeros lasted 5,500 miles on the front of my Hyundai i30N they came from the factory on those tyres in dry warm conditions they are good but in wet cold conditions under 10 degrees they are awful, i put Michelin PS4S and it transformed the car handling in the wet and dry in warm and cold conditions was night and day, i will never buy Pirellis for my cars as a replacement tyre.

Wife’s 2015 Venza 4 cylinder with 60000 burns some oil but really a great little car. Would have got the v6 because I heard they are a much better engine. Looking for tires now for it any suggestions it’s the LE AWD. ???
