1:47 It is the blind spot, but you have to "go prone" instead of "running" to cross the tall grass field.
Great as always !!!
Thanks again!
Great reshade. the effects had me hooked. got to get into playing with reshade!
You absolutely should!
CM is an old engine but, as any photographer will tell you, some lighting & bit of make up can be very flattering.
@@k.o.b.597 very true, I've added a lot of mods to Battle for Normandy and Black Sea that make the game feel much more immersive... it's worth the time to sit down and select the mods you want added to your game.
Hello there! Your All-in-one-mod packs are GREATLY appreciated. I simply do not have the nerves to download several dozens of mods and pick the best ones. In fact, seeing that you are putting out those all-in-one packs lately made me come back to Combat Mission. (Before that I used your ME effects packs for the both war eras.) So yeah, I want you to know that your work (and the work of all the modders of course) is giving people joy and makes Combat Mission a bit less clunky. I am now toying around with the Reshade thing which I would not have began with ever if not for you. Made the Afghanistan scenario I just played quite decent looking!
After all this praise, let me ask you a question. I am toying around with the idea to buy Combat Mission Black Sea but was always reluctant to buy it for the lack of snow maps. (I know that the official timeline of the ingame history does not include winter months but come on, its basically the Eastern Front!) So I wonder if you are planning to include that Winter mod for CMRT and that also works with CMBS. If it were only this, I think I could manage myself but all those uniforms and vehicles that needed to be modded to fit the snow maps would definitively kill me. Allegedly there once was a All-in-one winter pack for CMBS included in the "Operation Scepter" campaign but I can't find it anywhere.
So it would be really, really cool if you could include the winter stuff in your all-in-one pack someday.
Thanks for the feedback & kind words.
I haven't looked into the Winter mods for CMBS too much and, as you suggest, it would be quite a large project to add snow versions of every vehicle/soldier (IIRC the modders only got round to a handful of vehicles).
Dragonwyn indeed make his own modpack for one of his CMBS campaigns however the link is dead. So I added a post on the forums & I'm sure a new link will become available very soon...

Here's the thread for the CMBS Winter mod too...

PS
Smartwargames did a tutorial on how to quickly make, rudimentary, winter camo for vehicles...

@@k.o.b.597 Thank you very much for the fast response! I, too, wanted to write Dragonwyn because the description reads that he added quite a bit of winter camo units. But I still wait for approval to get into the forums. So thank you for making a post yourself!
The link is dead, as you stated. Curiously, in the Bio page of Dragonwyn you find all their mods except the Operation Scepter (not even the cam file). With the amount of work that seemed to went into that mod, there seems to be some kind of controversy maybe (be it the issue or non-approved usage of mod files?).
That being said, I have played the CMBS demo right now with your mods and Barbaricos war movie shades on top and I must say it is really quite the enhancement from the vanilla version, so I will throw some money towards Gabe Newell and Battlefront and it's only because you modders!
Here's hoping that the new BS module will include winter maps although as of yet nothing seems to hint at that.
On a sidenote: regarding that CMBN is the next CM game coming for Steam, will the all-in-one mod pack for that one come soon? Or have you given up for now?
Edit: Oh, and let me just say: your choice of music for the CMSF2 Afghanistan pack is ridiculously good and immersive!
CMBN 'All in One' should be released very soon.
I only have a few of the more obscure vehicles to weather really... perhaps the biggest issue is I've amassed so much content that I don't really know what is original BFC stuff & what is user made.
@@k.o.b.597 Great news! I'm looking forward to it!
For tactical wargaming, there is only Combat Mission. I wish it had modern graphics, but you can’t have everything.
Personally i think the graphics are ok its the most detailed military game so i think its great it can run on older devices also. And when you mod the game you can really get the beauty out of it
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
wow look nice i wonder is night vision can turn on and off ? or it just effect for video, Thank you
It's a reshade effect (read the video description).
I have mine set to turn on & off with a single key press.
@@k.o.b.597 Thank you , i wish they integrate it since it useful when night fight really like it
the houses were so much Harder to knock down in CM1.
Your memory is better than mine... though editing conceals much.
In CMx2, barns or shacks will collapse VERY quickly... large modular buildings or large Stone Churches are much, much tougher.
There are also differences between the games, CMRT modular buildings seem to be significantly weaker than CMFB modular buildings.
In your opinion is the ME Soundscape sound mod better than the HQS (High Qualjity Sound) 4.0 sound mod?
I love the HQS sound mod & used it for many years.
I created the Soundscape merely as an alternative (more to my personal taste) & it is part of the 'All in One's' because that's what I use when I play CM.
HQS is loud, bombastic & benefits from many years of refinements.
The soundscape is newer & less refined but, BY FAR, has the largest "dynamic range" of any CM sound mod.
The primary difference, basically, is...
"HQS, in the real world, inadvertently pushes you to turn your gameplay volume down" .
"The ME soundscape, deliberately, pushes you to turn your gameplay volume up".
PS
It should be noted that the soundscape borrows MANY sounds & voices from other CM sound mods, like HQS, including AKD's, Ironsturm's & Oddballs stuff.
@@k.o.b.597 You created Soundscape mod? Now I feel stupid asking YOU of all people that question! XD Sorry. I'm new to CM and ignorant to all the mods and names still. My apologies. I do appreciate you at least not giving me a biased answer in return. I'm gonna give Soundscape a shot now!
@@Solo6R No problemo... oh you might also be interested to know that HQS 5.0 was released recently.

can you make your settings downloadable
My settings?
I don't believe so... however, for in game settings, there's nothing that special ('3d model quality' is usually on fast or balanced as I like my FPS to be relatively high, 'texture quality' is always on best).
My graphics card settings, these days, are very basic & (other than adding as much anisotropic filtering as possible) are mostly just default.
