Great job Doug. The best way I make me ID is to put a cross on the back of card instead of spraying whole card. This way the corners will have nothing on them which makes it very easy to perform. The spray is harder to do this, so I use roughing stick.
I love my mental photography deck (best crowd reaction ever!) But they've started slipping and one slip ruins the illusion. I remembered this somehow from months ago and dug it up! Thanks again Connman!
I knew a magician that used Net hairspray. But the matt finish clear coat makes a lot more sense because it won't be tacky. It's just creating the grip needed to hide cards.
I've been buying my cards from House of Chuckles you know he's been in business for a long time I appreciate your tips and everything on your site thank you
Hi Doug, thank you for this helpful video as I do have some decks that need to be recoated and ordered some matte finish spray, I also noticed at the start of the video a brown box on the shelf would that be the TA box set by Paul Harris..? The reason why is because I have the TA box set also I won it back in 2012 and it's just mind blowing, I have turned them into mp4 format the dvd's that is not the bag of goodies that would be silly 😃... If you're into card tricks you should get the quantum deck by Craig Petty, I brought it last year and it's a really cool trick...
So is this just to renew an already made invisible deck or can i just make an invisible deck from a regular deck of cards with the same exact process? I have this matte finish laying around all the time being an artist. I never knew this is all it took to make my own. I've basically had an invisible deck of cards this entire time apparently...lol.
Hey Doug! Thanks for sharing! Question: I believe I have heard you say that there’s somewhat of a secret built into the Ultra Mental Deck regarding the order of the cards in order to assist with locating pairs, or something of that nature. Is that indeed true or am I miss-remember something? If so, can you point me in the right direction? ❤
I attempted to make my own a couple months ago (my stick "Villain" annoyed me) and "a little goes a long way" was lost on me. The cards were practically stuck together as if they had double sided tape. I could throw a pair up with no fear they came apart.
Very useful information how long does or should a deck last with regular performance? storage conditions for decks? how many decks does one can make? Is it pointless relying on a deck in extreme weather conditions how many cats put up with your shenanigans in there kitchen?
Uhm, you have to do it in the garage, not in the kitchen....not very healthy. Anyway, do you think is possible to use other brand of acrylic spray or only Krylon will work? Thanks
It takes some practice & there are different manufacturers… some use more “stuff” than others… if you hit in from Connjure.com your satisfaction is guaranteed. Email me if you need more assistance
Meanwhile, in the news, magician vanishes, wife states he “disappeared after fixing his invisible deck of cards in her kitchen getting krylon on her chairs, floor and cabinets. Thankfully he didn’t get any on the countertop.” RIP Doug. Lol. In my world what you just did would be grounds for divorce.

Nice tips!
could a card board stencil be used so to use your clever cross idea but using the spray
@@Uniquettt yeah just make sure the four corners are all clear without spray.

Awesome! Teach a man to fish… 🐟🐠
Always fun and always helpful, Doug! Thanks for this practical tutorial.
Worth it for the tip at the end, was wondering why my invisible deck was so hard to use….will be rubbing cards together tonight!.
Thanks for the step by step process. I’m an artist so I have the matte finish around all the time. It works great.
I've been looking for this, thank you so much, Doug. You're the man
Thanks Doug!
This is the best way to do it! Plus I love the camera!
Tnx Phoe
Great video and you have a nice place btw... Is there anything else besides spray that works? I would also put the covid mask on aslo.....
A very good video doug i’ve got the rough smooth rubber yes the sprayed as fantastic job to

Just helping out the algorithm. Thanks, Gef
Always appreciated!
At first it was rough and then it was smooth. Noice!
Conns kitchen cooks a little magic meal.
Hey Doug is their ever cooking magic... food magic related. You should do a video of that in your kitchen. ❤
I do cook most every day!
@@DougConn do some food magic video. 😋❤
Thank you for inviting me at your home😍

Great tutorial buddy
Nice credit thrown in there, also very well shot with that camera.
Hey Tommee! Thank ya ❤️

Brave man to do this in the kitchen. How does the family like the rough and smooth granite?
Did you skip the part where I protected that?
LOL, I dare you to do the same thing with black spray paint… see you in the doghouse…

excellent video Doug :)
Appeasing the algorithm
Love the new profile picture!
Bravo! Great tips
Hey thanks 🤘
Happy to help!

LOL (re:cats) I think there’s too many variables to say what one can expect , but I get a couple months of HEAVY use from these decks
@@DougConn Thank you and thank you for putting together so many informative videos
Thanks!
What’s your opinion on roughing sticks?
I have been using a roughing stick these days...have you messed with one?
I tried two diff sticks … both left too much residue for my liking … I’m also set in my ways :)
@@DougConn Good answer residue does catch some lights
What is to fix? Do they break?
Gracias por la explicación. Un abrazo

I’ve only used krylon & yes, IF it’s suitable to do this outside, it’s gooder :)
thanks for this ❤️
❤
thanks
I remember when little it was a powder
Got my bicycle invisible deck and they just kept showing all the backs during the spread, can the cards back wear out or am I just going to hard

@@DougConn ok thanks!!
Mine are way too sticky now what?😮 How can I fix that please?
Take each back to back pair and rub them against each other briskly. This should loosen some of the roughing. Good luck!
@DougConn I will give it a try thanks Doug! Next time I will only spray 3/4 of the card. I made a past present future deck. Should be fun to perform 🎭
Any comment to help

Cool
I must be trippin’. I obviously see the handle of the selfie stick, but I don’t see the stick 😂
Magic!
Tony's!
Sadly Haines house of cards is pretty much gone.
:( yes, sad
They made good ones!
I have the best video ideas. Lol
No arguments!
I just buy a new deck. Call me 🤪
A mess, a noxious smell -- not worth it.
