    I did your final routine to my boss who doesn't care one iota about magic and she showed a huge smile. Quite an accomplishment. Thank you sir.

    Beautiful shuttle pass, I like how you pass it over to the finger tips. I will be playing with that handling :)

    What a great video this was. You're a lot better at these sleights than you give yourself credit for for sure. You threw me off big time when you were doing that back palm technique while tossing coins from one hand to the other. I literally had to rewind twice even after you told us what you were doing.

    I've been practicing my dexterity by going from finger palm to the back finger palm. So tough, but great when it works!

    As someone who has only recently started seriously doing coin magic, i have a couple of questions.
    1- my hands are vary smooth and dry, and the coins do not have alot of grip on the skin. The longer i keep a coin in classic palm (and i can only use large coins atm) the coin slowly slips out of place and falls. Is there something i can do to make this better? I know moisturizer is likely the answer for short term use, but in the long run, any tips?
    2- You mentioned the thumb sticking out during a classic palm, and that being a tell, i actually have the exact opposite issue lol, my thumb is almost completely under my hand, if my thumb moves even the smallest amount to the side, the coin will drop.
    Now i fully realize the muscle in my hand is weak, so thats going to take practice, but my main question is, does a coin magician HAVE to be able to do classic palm? My finger palm is vary comfortable and quite natural looking in my opinion. and i do see the benifits of knowing classic palm. But by learning the other techniques, can those do just as well as the classic palm? Thanks so much in advance, love your work :). Would love to see your opinions or routines with Okito boxes.

    A seminal video. Very good review of available methods.
    Bobos is great reference, but be warned, it's not that great to learn from. Just a heads up for beginners... but stick with it. Keep going back and you'll be rewarded with patience!

    • @DougConn
      @DougConn  2 роки тому +1

      🙏❤️🪄 yes! Like most good magic books, you can return to Bobbi’s over & over (& yes, it’s imperfect.) Care to cast a diff vote for a good beginners coin book?

      @PreservationEnthusiast 2 роки тому +1

      @@DougConn I thought the stuff in Harry Lorraine's magic book is quite good. It's only a section of the book and definitely not comprehensive, but he is on the same wavelength as you emphasising finger palm rather than classic palm. He also teaches stuff like Hang ping chen.
      So you can do coins across, coins through table, misers dream and various other classic effects with his material and it is very beginner friendly.

    Hi Doug. Awesome tips! I just want to verify the large coins you are using are US 50 cent pieces correct? Being I'm from Canada we don't have coins that large so just dbl checking so I can get a few
