    As long as the round still doesn't pop out of the top, your lips are good. You can also file the mag latch to drop it lower and avoid the bolt drag.

    Thanks man, hope this work on 30 rnd mags, they have that curve and the light weight doesn't help.

    Did you have any feeding issues after doing this? Thanks for doing this video. Ps. That's a nice mirror finish on your knife.

      No feeding issues. However, this was several years ago and I never really stuck with polymer mags. Awhile back I ended up getting some of the Army MSR overrun mags which are AICS magazines with a tan teflon finish which are great on the feed lips. I use those to this day, but also use MDT AICS magazines without binderplates along with AW magazines currently as well.

    Sadly currently no AI 0726 mag available in US. Do you think the pmag 10 rds version is little too long to be uncomfortable using? I have bought two pmag 10 rds and realize it is much longer than the AI 0726 mag. Am figuring that out and then see this video, appreciate!

      Funny thing is have these PMags still, but I never use them. I use my steel AI mags or ARC mags. I got these FDE contract mags from Brownells which were overruns for the Army XM2010 a few years back which are awesome. I'm 99% sure they're AI mags and coated. Got them for nearly half the cost of officially advertised AI magazines.
      But as far as PMags being comfortable, I don't see any issues with them with that slightly longer dimension. As dumb as this sounds, I do like the PMags because they don't scratch the cases when being fed off the mag like my official AI mags. Although, the aforementioned FDE contract mags I have don't scratch because the of the slick coating and the fact that the feed lips seem to be really smooth with no burrs.

      @@ocabj thank you so much for the info! I will try Brownell and see how it goes!

      @@harrisonz1515 Didn't want to mislead, but those M2010 contract mags were a limited inventory item at Brownells a few years ago. Since they were contract overruns, there was a finite supply. I wish I bought more because they're really good at good price. Although Brownells does carry all other regular production AI mags, of course.

    Where did you obtain the bipod spikes?

    • @ocabj
      @ocabj  8 років тому

      www.tacticalsupply.com
      But I took them off recently. When I shoot off a harder surface (e.g. concrete bench with a fabric surface, concrete ground with bipod on mat), my groups open up. I think there is some sort of torque occurring on recoil because the feet are locked into the ground and my the rifle isn't moving straight back like it should be. Of course, it could be a lot of user factor, though, and I just need to adjust my body position accordingly.
