i had a polymer factory mag that always had feeding issues . jamming half way . so i ordered a 5 rd metal mag with no binder plate and didnt do any adjustments whatsoever . bullets feed in rifle with no jamming . works awsome and i can seat my bullets off lands with room to spare in magazine . just ordered another one . great magazine . happy shooting !!
What an awesome company. Good prices, quick and clear video explanations, many options for stocks. Good job guys.
Thank you for kind words and believing is us:)
@@MDTTAC Hope you're doing well in the pandemic, as soon as I can I'm switching out my Remington stock.
@@MrBadApple999 We are doing well, hope you are as well! Sounds good!
I’m looking at getting 22-250 howa and want to put your oryx chassis on it , but everywhere I research , mag doesn’t not work with 22-250 , has this issue been fix yet , as there’s no point throwing down a heap of cash for a chassis if it doesn’t work
You should really link to this video on the website for the magazines.
Agreed, will get that done very soon :). Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm about to get a ruger american predator chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. Should the mags I use have the binder plate?
Yes, the binder plate would be a good way to go!
I have a MDT XRS Chassis for the Tikka T3. My Magpul magazines will NOT click or stay seated? I have been told that my chassis needs to be milled to accept the acis magazine?
No, Magpul 7.62 AC P-Mags are optimized for a Remington 700 action and require fitting on any other actions.
1:34 How can I tell if my bullet is ballistically coefficient? I tried asking one, but it did not respond.
Your bullets BC is typically supplied by the manufacture. If you contact them they should be able to provide you with the information.
swing and a miss
@@MDTTAC Try watching the video again MDT. Minute marker 1:34. :D
I just bought a Savage Axis II 6.5 Creedmore. Should I get the binder plate or without? I figured without but not 100% sure
We recommend with binder plate.
Would the magazines with the plates work with the Hornady’s ELD MATCH in 6.5 creedmoor? Would be shooting out of a Springfield Armory Waypoint bolt action. Thanks!
It should work without issue out of a binder plate magazine.
@@MDTTAC awesome thank you
I ordered an MPA PMR pro II in 6.5 creedmoor. I would like to chase the lands, but does my rifle need to be modified to go over that 2.870?
It would be best to confirm with MPA; we're not sure whether or not the feed ramp is always cut for it.
So I converted a mossberg patriot 308 to accept aics style mag should I run binder or no binder?
You will want to run binder plate magazines.
What option would you recommend for reliable feeding with 6GT?
Your best bet right now would be our polymer 308/6.5 Creedmoor magazines. We are also going to be releasing a 6GT specific magazine shortly. Make sure you are signed up for our newsletter to be kept up to date.
will this magazine work with short action magnums like 6.5 PRC?
If you have a short action bottom metal or chassis that runs AICS pattern short action magazines, you can use the 300WSM/6.5PRC magazines. Here is the link to check those out - mdttac.com/300wsm-6-5-prc-mdt-metal-aics-magazine/ or mdttac.com/300wsm-6-5-prc-mdt-metal-aics-magazine-3-rnd/.
If I buy a no-binder-plate magazine and it doesnt fit, can I insert a piece of metal myself (will there be space left by the follower)? Will a no-binder plate fit Christensen Arms MPR without modification?
You could potentially insert a piece of metal, but we do spot weld them when we make them, so it would likely be challenging to do it after the fact. The no-binder uses a slightly longer follower as well, so it would need to be modified. As long as your rifle is able to accept AICS pattern magazines, they will fit; however, you would need to confirm with Christensen if they are able to accept no-binder plate magazines without modification.
@@MDTTAC tysm for the reply! can the magazine be disassembled to modify the follower? (if it's fully welded I'd consider that not doable as I cant weld it back)
@@syncprism6283 The floor plate can be removed for the spring and follower.
308w should have binder plate then?
We recommend a binder plate for most applications.
I did a thing…I built a 300wsm on a long action. 338 Lap mags work for holding the rounds, but during feeding, they tend to “nose dive” and may not make the ramp…hhhaaaaaalllp!
What is your COAL on the 300WSM and which magazine are you using?
@@MDTTAC I don’t have my notes with me right now but I think I am 2.88 or around there, could be A little longer. .338 lapua magazines are what I’m using now as the ribs will grab the cases for smaller diameter calibers like 300 win. I recently ordered a hinged floor plate bottom medal and Wyatt internal box to see if that helps
@@dgarcia7388 At 2.88", the tendency will be for them to nosedive. For reliable function out of a long action magazine, you will need to be able to maintain a COAL of at least 3.100".
Why not list this on your website?
Thanks for the feedback, we will bring it up for sure.
I swear every time I click a button on MDTTAC website I just have more questions. I feel retarded even being on your site. “Update” it’s confusing as in I am uneducated on all different options and accessories”
Well, we are here for any questions you may have!
