As someone who lives in Gillingham and has been to many towns in Kent I must say interesting list and some very unique takes. Personally out of the places I’ve been to in Kent if I had to do a top 5 it’d probably be something like this: 1. Maidstone 2. Rochester 3. Canterbury 4. Tunbridge Wells 5. Whitstable Honourable mentions: Faversham, Tonbridge, Herne Bay
maidstone i agree its nice with me being a bus enthusiast maidstone got nice buses nice places to i went in 2022 so i aint got a clue whats changed or whats not changed. i agree with rochester to its nice with the museum and the christmas market they have its nice with the public transport to and whitstable nice but i didnt think it was worth going to the beach but the chippy was good
Well done. A worthy top 5, but so many other towns need a visit from you. Ashford Broadstairs Folkestone Faversham Paddock Wood Sittingbourne Tenterden Tonbridge Even a top 10 would be difficult to pick. Some are nicer than others. 👍
I don't live in dartford anymore but i was born there so it will always be home i still think dymchurch & hythe are better. Hythe has a cute little town, really beautiful canal and nice pebble beach aswell.👍
My list would be 1. Canterbury (I'm aware it's a city) 2. Broadstairs 3. Sandwich 4. Folkestone 5. Faversham I haven't been to Sevenoaks or Tunbridge Wells but have heard good things about them! The Sandwich was named after the Earl of Sandwich when he was busy playing cards and he wanted his steak put between two slices of bread because he didn't want his game interrupted, apparently
Maidstone for me is the undisputed king nothing can match it on any statistics. In kent. Footfall size choice and i can continue. Not a list id expect tbh but love the videos as ever.😊
@@EdBrinton compared to Birmingham London I'd agree but on a scale as a whole it's actually larger than normal city's in comparison via shops within one area.
i love going dartford i always wanna go there because of the market the shopping centre and the buses to lol. with gravesend ofc i live here and the shops are ok i would prefer the shops back in 2015 because we had more so defo more shops and the transport isnt bad taxi's next to the bus station with the promenade (prom for short) i love playing hide and seek there with my brothers (i dont care if im 14 hide and seek is always a fun game) and so many places to hide so in a way i like Gravesend but would love to move. never been sandwich, deal or sevenoaks
@@EdBrinton it is a nice vibe i love going out for me i go out for the buses lol but in general got parks its got like a place called future survival you can play like tag, etc in there i havent been in there but ive heard its worth booking and its got a VR place to
How these pundits compare Kent to say West or South Yorkshire or certain parts of Manchesteŕ and Lancashire is beyond me. I've been all around the North and North-West these past 25 years, and its a world apart from the sunny South. Thankfully, I didnt move up there and buy a cheapo terrace for under £30k. This was entirely possible a few years ago, but, the massive drawback would have been never being able to move South again. You should try to visit Bradford this year, the 2025 City of Culture. That will be an eye opener with all the bad publicity that region gets at the moment. 👍🤔
Ive been through Sandwich and its so pretty. I also like Tunbridge Wells too. Whitstable is on my visiting list when I'm next in the south east
@@garethpayne6907 it's incredible isn't it mate
@@EdBrinton ive been Whitstable it was quite nice the area but the beach wasn't to good
You put Dartford at one of the nicest, you must be a gentleman 😂😂😂 I agree with Sandwich & Sevenoaks though - good choices

Intriguing I never new he was an earl! Folkestone is a good pick I've heard they have a catacombs there too!
