2024. The best IMSA season ever. Apart from all of the other ones from 2014 onwards. And of course, all of the classic original IMSA era seasons from 1971 to 1998 too. And all of the Rolex Sportscar Championship's and American Le Mans Series seasons as well. I can't wait for 2025 & 2026.
I've been watching and following IMSA hard core since the Petit Lemans of 2023. Sebastian's first few stints and the sound/look of the 01cadillac were mesmerizing. Since then, I've been a big follower of the 01 and 31 Whelen Cadillac. It's bittersweet seeing Chip Ganassi/Cadillac come to an end. Along with Pipo Derani exiting. However, I'm super glad the 01 Cadillac was able to get redemption for 2023 and make a come back to win. Here's to 2025. Looking forward to seeing where Sebastian and Pipo sign as Renger announced his new home with Meyer Shank yesterday.
Everybody thought this was gonna be yet another 2024 Cadillac choke. But holy hell what a race and what a badass way to win and end the Ganassi Cadillac DPI stint as well! IMSA continues to be amazing!
It was the race of the year. Those last 30 minutes with the fog rolling in and all the battles for wins and chips coming to the wire. People take for granted how special these things are
Haven't been to Road Atlanta for many years as I live too far away now (KC area). It was a hoot back then and IMSA just keeps getting better. Be cool if Lemans rules were synchronized and the 24 would be part of there series championship.
Such a great race, the first endurance race I’ve fully sat through since I had time. Love the content. Glad to see you covering IMSA, hope to hear you over the speakers at Long Beach again when I go next year.
Mustang and Multimatic go so close to winning in their first year. Rain at WGI, Good run at VIR, only beaten at Indy thanks to a pit stop, and a penalty here 😢
Darn it!! I forgot all about this race. I was watching football all day. Seems like it was a pretty good race though. It’s tough to remember sports cars are on with football, hockey and baseball all playing.
We’ll have 2 Cadillacs with Wayne Taylor Racing + the #31 Whelen Cadillac in IMSA next season. There will also be two Cadillacs in WEC next year too being run by Jota. 5 Caddys total racing around the globe 😁
Balance of Performance. A way of fixing rules that don't work so it looks like there is some real competition, when there isn't any. Why doesn't IMSA just go the NASCAR and Indycar way. Make everybody use the same car. They can add decals or wraps to make each team's cars look different. That would be a simpler (and more honest) way to manipulate the races to look competitive.
@@Mijack1 Nope. Just remembering the days when the best car and team was rewarded with a win, not a bunch of weight or restricted engine output. BOP = phony racing.
I started watching IMSA during the IndyCar Olympic break and I've got to say, I'm hooked. Can't wait for next year.
welcome to IMSA!
Dude, just wait until Daytona and Sebring. Some of the best races of all time

Great job land. Really great work growing.
Not to mention Rexy, one of the most badass looking cars is the GTD champion
The interview was fantastic.

Scott Dixon is the f@&king man. He does not get enough credit for his sports car accomplishments. The Dude abides!

Thank you Herta and Hyundai and Wickens.
You should go to the sim racing expo, David.
Thanks.
I think next time I watch I’ll have to tune in live just so I can look stuff up and get background and follow the data a bit more.

So Cadillac is done with gtp and hypercar?
