I just bought one a month ago, best decision I ever made car wise. The mpg is phenomenal, I’m averaging 43 around town and on the highway. I don’t know everybody rags on the armrest, it’s awesome. And did I just miss it or did he not talk about how the doors open completely not just 3/4 of the way? The ride is amazing, it handles like a Mercedes, the steering is perfection.

My mom and I just bought a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport. We bought it at Hughes Honda in Warner Robins, GA on 5/26/2023. Just wish it had Sirius XM satellite radio.
We traded in her 2012 Ford Fusion SE for it because the vehicle was having severe issues.
I'm glad we did trade it because I was afraid that we would be stranded.
I absolutely love it. Honda did a fantastic job.
The color is CANYON RIVER BLUE METALLIC with black cloth interior.

I miss my side sensor the most! I also wish the trunk had a close button since I am short, but my husband loves it for me. I had a 2018 Accord Ex and I really miss some of the features from my old car, but thankful to have a "upgrade".

This looks nice. Cloth seats, manual rear lift gate, physical knobs on a simple screen, analog speedometer are actually all good things! Simpler and driver friendly. I could live without the sunroof. Do wish it had a spare.
Only real concern is the real world MPG is reportedly only in low 30s and hard to get the 37 combined it's rated at.

I own exactly the same trim 2023 CR-V as on this video, got mine among the first one's back in December 2022, and I got to say, that current Honda built quality has disappointed me. Paint coating of the inside portions of the doors is so poor, that I got corrosion in 4 months old car! This is unacceptable! Went to my local dealership to claim the warranty repairs. While they were fixing it, I've been curious and went on their lot to check a few brand new CR-V's for the same area, and unfortunately, same poor coating and uneven gaps on the hood/fenders area, the lift gate and side panels as well!
And lastly, what the service department manager told me about those findings, shocked me! His words exactly " It's okay for the mass production vehicles"
Previously, I had spent hours on the phone with the American Honda call center about this issue trying to get someone in the quality control management, but unfortunately they've said that there is no such one, so that's probably why Honda manufacturing going down in the quality I guess? So sad experience. Beware, and check on those things at the time of purchase!

I canceled my order for this as soon as I found out it doesn't have a spare tire. I go hiking, biking, canoeing, etc. on the weekends. Sometimes I get into some pretty rocky nasty areas. I haven't ever had a tire blow, but if I do I want to know I can get around till I can make it to a repair center. Waiting 3 hours on a tow truck for a complete blow out would make me a full blooded Honda hater.

Does the minus paddle on the steering wheel still have two levels of regenerative braking? Will the second level stop the car or does it just slow it a bit faster. Do the cloth seats in the Sport trim have seat heating or only the leather seats in the Touring trim like the prior generation? Seat memory and ventilation aren’t that big a deal. I wish the Sport trim dropped the sunroof to save a few pounds and left it to the Touring. EV only range depends on speed. Last generation got about 2 miles at 35 mph and 1 mile at 55 mph. I think an AWD version would help in the snow belt. It’s a compelling package - ahead of the Tucson Hybrid but slightly behind the RAV4 for available features. Quality looks good, but a $35K crossover should have less hard plastic interior bits.

    • @scott8919

Four levels. Click it to the 4th level and it's quite strong, but it stops regenerating at about 5 MPH.

And the dash screen has 2 knobs to turn on the EX and this Sport, but the EX-L and the upgrade Hybrid screens only have one knob, that's strange too. Honda could have done better with the back seat (when laid flat) creates a sizeable hump for the load floor area, and they don't have the back seat release handles that CR-V's have had for over 10 years. They could have done better.

But hey Honda get rid of the Black wheels that are easily scraped, get rid of the incredibly stupid Honeycomb grid in the dashboard (11:22) that collects dust and dog hairs and is really hard to clean. Basically what’s inside the new Accord. The digital instrument cluster is one. The odometer area looks cheap or messed up because you see that line when the car starts up where it starts and ends being digital. Honda could have done a better job camouflaging it into the dash if they didn’t want to give a full digital display to the CRV like the Accord got. The next is the infotainment. It’s a small screen with no life. It’s static and boring and missing SiriusXM on a mid class hyvrid similar priced to the higher priced gas model at $34/35k. The infotainment has no album art option or anything in Bluetooth mode and there is no menu, it’s just static and boring and cheap. There is also no HD radio so no text from the FM radio about the music playing which is terrible. In this case Honda could have went old school and do built for SiriusXM like in the day and you could have a piece installed and integrated into the factory radio to use if that is what you wanted. The backup camera is blurry and bad like they took it out of a Ford ecosport. Paying $35/36k for a Hybrid Sport no power lift gate. Car is almost $40k and you have to pop the trunk. Can’t even get the fob to do it for you at least. Why the button exists on the fob is dumb. The back should be a power lift option and shows where Honda overpriced the CRV lineup and killed it’s competitiveness with other brands. Even with a chip shortage the Kia and Hyundai models provide interior features like vented seats as an option or the option to remotely start the car with your smartphone. The touring trim offers such capability, yet other brands have it in almost every trim, lower trims with tech packages. Honda dropping the ability to add options to the CRV just further shows how far down they are falling in being behind the competitors. While I understand it may help with pricing during this time or streamline the lineup it really doesn’t in this CRV lineup. Where you have a smattering of odd features missing and then there for no reason in 5 variants of the same car at a price range as high as a loaded Lexus hybrid. Yet even at it’s highest price point the CRV Touring has less features still and cannot compete with its competitors in offerings. While Honda offers a drive that might make you forget momentarily about the car lacking creature comfort features you get reminded of it quickly inside the dealership when they tell you it’s $36k and you think wow this car has less inside of it than my 2020 Civic. Then you wonder if losing those features at a lower price point is worth paying Honda’s faux luxury pricing and showing how they cheaped out on adding to the car but still managed to raise the price significantly higher.
