- Acceleration of a 2012 Volvo S60 T6 with the 3.0 liter 6-cylinder engine with 306 Horsepowers. Conditions: Dry road, one person, temperature: +9C (48F), winter tires.
The transmission was in D, putting in S does not change anything when you apply full throttle (kickdown) - Авто та транспорт
stock? any modifications? slope? 0-100 5 sec, factory claims 6,5, 0-200 17 sec, excellent time 👌👍
This is my car and it's stock. I made a bunch of acceleration videos for this one as I couldn't really believe that it is this fast. All of them are around 5,4-5,7 seconds if you launch from first gear. If you launch from second, it becomes even faster as the torque converter makes up for the longer gear ratio but it doesn't have to shift from first to second. I've taken the car to do a dyno test and it's really close to the stock values. 310HP and 434Nm instead of the claimed 306HP/440Nm. It's not even on a slope, I have around 10 videos of 0-200 on different roads and tracks and all are within 1 second of each other.
@@butch400 excellent condition
@@butch400 is that 310whp, or crank hp?
@@M67v crank
Motorweek tested 5.9 / 0-60.... Keep good clean oil. You literally notice the power difference.
Owned one. Daily driving it, you felt like the fastest in the commute.
Volvo for life
Was a great motor. Terrific.
Не знаю как в плане обслуги и ресурса но по динамике это самый бомбовый мотор на вольво
An interesting thing that I noticed with the s60 is that it doesn't rev as high in 2nd gear. In 1st gear, it revs to over 6500 rpm but only 6000 rpm in 2nd gear.
Hp304+ its bot series?
WOW 200 km/h @6500 rpm, 4th gear
Chyba coś dziubnieta bo 0-200 20s a seria ma chyba 22
You're not in sport mode. Once you turn off DSTC, you have to push your lever to the right.
The D on your dashboard will turn to S. This gives WAY WAY More traction on initial start.
Which lever
@@mioszk504 lol, my bad, shifter towards the +/-. That will cause the D turn to S.
DSTC sport doesn't make any difference in acceleration, unless there is wheel spin which is very hard to get in this stock car on a good stretch of road
Nice. Is there comon problems with this T6? I'm looking for one.
The T6 seems to be universally loved by Volvo owners and mechanics. They're generally reliable. Some oil consumption and PCV valve problems seems to be the extent of their issues.
The main problem of this engine is poor fuel condition this car never go under 11-12l in normal drive in 70:30 on the autobahn. In city normal fuel consumption is something around 15-16l but If you start driving like this you will see around 18l/100km.
@@Player_-lu5kh hi, do you know, is t5 2.5t more eco and reliable? Tnx.
@@Aleks-gl7xf idk what about fuel consumption in t5 but if you want I can ask my friend with t6. To fast driving 3.0T is the best only facelift 2.0T 367 is better
@@Player_-lu5kh Okei, i need to choose t5 or t6 the power is not so big problem. the fuel consumption and reliablty is most important for me. Tnx anyway for guick reply👍
What's your average fuel consumption and also fuel consumption at highway speeds(120/130km/h), if I may ask?
Pure highway driving mine is at 0.75-0.8l/10km (litres and kilometer)
All comes down to the elevation i guess.
Between 120-130km/h including overtakes at 130+😅
Driving in the city is awhole new level of expensive at 1.2-1.4l/10km.
My average with quite speedy driving was about 12.5l/100 km over 35k kms. My friend who bought it from me averages around 11-11.5l/100 km driving more modestly (around 140-145km/h on the highway). These are mixed values with urban and highway driving.
@@butch400 thank you very much!
@@SyndroMm thanks for your answer!
Powershift or geartronic ?
All T6 are Geartronic.

Not stock....
I beg to differ..
Exact same acceleration as mine V60 T6, which is stock..
Stock. Highly underated cars.
They have a few different set ups 300bhp 325bhp and polestar 350bhp
