Kanan was a padawan when he left, so we can't consider him a Jedi. And Ezra is learning from a padawan, so we can't consider him a Jedi either. We'll just see what happens at the end of Rebels...
There were four Jedi... sort of... Though not trained yet Luke would eventually become a Jedi and Leia also has potential to become a Jedi. Actually what they meant by "balance to the force" wasn't even about equal power it was about destroying the Sith entirely... which isn't really balance but it's a Jedi belief so of course that's what it's going to be... Anyway Vader technically did this when he killed Palpatine years later... except not anymore because the story continues.
Not all I predicted she was the child or grand child of a sith force user because of her training in last Jedi I didn’t know it was palp specifically tho cus it didn’t seem possible for him to have survived
Technically the Jedi weren't "evil" but they had lost their vision and let themselves become rules by the laws of the Republic, rather than the laws of the Jedi. In a way, the Jedi were no longer "The Jedi."
Alexander the Great I think they meant that he actually was his apprentice by forcing Luke to fight the empire you could call that training think about it.....
Number 9 Is a theory from Fans who want to believe that Luke was Chosen by Palpatine BEFORE Vader knew of his existence... What it fails to take a note of is that Until Luke was Trained, he would have been UNNOTICEABLE among all teh other force sensitive beings on Tatoonine... Luke was NOT even remotely a Jedi so would have been masked - And as far as both Palpatine and Vader knew - Vader had indeed killed his children. There is a very loose possibility of you listen to Palpatine at the end of Revenge of the Sith - His voice when he tells Vader he Killed Padame is far from convincing... But that proves very little! It is not until Vader discovers Lukes true Identity (Legends sadly - Boba Fett seeking the Pilot that beat Vader) and Palpatine senses teh 'Disturbance in the Force' in EMPIRE that The Sith Lord even acknowledges they have a new enemy - Until then... It seems apparent that Palpatine had NO IDEA that Vaders children had lived!
Thats why Palpatine had Vader fight Luke to the death. If Luke won, He'd be happy to see Vader fall. But on the other hand, if Vader won, knowing he had murdered his son, would drive him even furtur to the dark side, making him much more powerful.
That OneGuy Luke would have become a Hand of the Emperor until such time he sided with either Palpatine or Vader to depose the other. It was at this time, one of the Emperor's Hands, Lumiya was still in training with Vader. In the TRUE Canon.
CloudSteele Palpatine would've never wanted Vader to become more powerful, as it was, he was already stronger than than him in almost every way, it's the reason that Vader's suit had a lot of malfunctions, it was the only way Palpatine could remain in control of Vader
I've always believed that the prophecy to bring balance to the Force was actually fulfilled. The Jedi seemed to have this belief that the balance came from eradicating the Dark Side, but that would push it to one extreme. Anakin brought balance to the Force by falling over to the Dark Side, thereby shifting the amount of power across, bringing it away from the Jedi who had kept the peace for millennia, over to the Sith, readjusting the balance somewhat.
Argorok87 that's what happened, but ever since new canon and threads that still need tying up it's not true anymore...Ahsoka is still alive Ezra and Kanaan and maul and other inquisitors maybe
inquisitors arent sith, they just use lightsabers. Also the dark side is basically the cancer of the force, it would be like if you were trying to balance the human body you would make the number of cancer cells equal to the number of healthy you would make them all healthy.
I don't subscribe to the idea of there being a dark side or light side of the Force. The Force is just the Force. It's the people using it that have light and dark sides.
Nope the original strom trooper armor had very narrow and small bits of glass where the eyes were but the first order fixed that problem by giving them a wider and a bigger way to see giving them better aim then the empereal troopers
I always read "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise" with the Obi Wan's Clone Wars era Sasslord voice, because really there are blast points all over the sandcrawler, so it seems pretty sarcastic to call it precision to begin with - but only more so when the Clone Wars gives Obi Wan legendary Sass abilities.
The reason they don't hit anyone is either because Lucas didn't want to kill the main characters off, or that they were sent off to fight, and that they didn't complete their training. Also they are stronger in numbers.
+Jessica Winum Actually the reason they don't hit anyone (at least in the death star) is because they want to follow the rebels and Jedi back to their home base. It's in a theory.
Actually, in the *Canon* "Vader comic" series, we see Vader interacting with the stormtroopers on tatooine and ordered the execution of both Owen and Beru Lars. So no, boba Fett was not the killer.
They weren't disintegrated, but Boba does have a flamethrower. Boba owned an illegal DXR-6 disruptor rifle, which was intended to disable the shields of small ships, but if it hit a person, it would demolecularize them completely.
and look what anakin did... if you haven't seen the clone wars Obi-Wan said to Duchess Satine that given the word he would of left the jedi order for her. its not a far stretch to say it was possible.
There is no Jedi order anymore once he is on his own. + if the son of a Jedi has a strong force through him, that would mean obi-wan's family will have a strong force sensibility. #midichlorians
Actually, no. Disney bought Star War a long time ago, and a lot of books came out about Star Wars during that time. But all those books except maybe one or two aren't considered canon anymore. And yes, the Clone Wars is canon.
I don't think Knights of the Fallen Empire or Knights of the Eternal Throne are considered canon and I'm pretty sure KOTFE came out after Disney bought out LucasArts and I know that KOTET did.
In isolation, I totally agree it can look like the finger, but in context of the movie AND the fact that it's Star Wars, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say it was a thumbs up back at Finn's.
Question good theory but we seen Kenobis ghost meaning he died and he died when Luke was young and Rey is young in those movies while Luke is old that would mean the if obi wan kenobi would be super old with a child
Obi Wan Kenobi cannot be Rey's Father. Rey would be so much older because Obi wan could not have a Child as he was fighting with Vader Rey would be almost as old as Leia in TFA
Actually at obi wans age he could have had a child to be honest. Unlikely yet being related to obi wan would be cool but i'd like the house of Revan tie in.
If you think about it, just like Darth Plagauies or Sidius created Anakin, the old Ben could be able to use the force to create life. He was able to became one with the force itself. Ben Kenobi, you naughty old man :D
Right, because if you have the plans for something that guarantees you the most power in the galaxy, and the technology and resources to improve on it, you'd pass that opportunity up because it's been done before. "Hey, I made this really good machine gu-" "No. There have already been 2 other machine gun models." "Hey, Bill Gates, we improved Windows. We can get this mass-produced by 1995." "Sorry, no. We've already made two computers."
I don't like most of the yuuzhan vong story lines through legends cannon. Most of the writers were completely off the rails with how powerful the force should be and it's inconsistent as hell. The Mara Jade character is the only decent character out of that time period.
Joshua Giehll But they could use the concept of not being affected by the force. It would be cool if they incorporated that into the movies, maybe not with the current planned trilogy but in future episodes. Plus the yuzhan vong invasion was supposed to be part of the cancelled clone wars tv series.
One of the best things Lucas did to the prequels was put that spin on it that there is no black and white, only grey. I think it's a cool representation of the time, as the late 70's and early 80's films that had conflict in them were usually good vs bad, like John Wayne cowboy films and nearly every war film. Whereas when the prequels came out 99-05, film had undergone a transformation that looked at both sides rather than one, and showed that it was a grey area.
Just remember, why would kylo tell rey exactly what she wanted to hear, whether her parents were who kylo says they were, he would never tell her if they were important, despite if its true or not
Kenobi was part of the jedi that had no children. He kept to the code of the order, so that is not possible. The new cannon should not rewrite the old cannon just because they want to. It should be a continuation of the story, not a fantasy remake.
The whole "Yuuzhan Vong" thing falls apart when you figure that a government that couldn't hunt down a few thousand rebels would stand no chance against the invaders. It's actually lampshaded by Han pointing out that every superweapon the Empire created was destroyed in part thanks to Imperial hubris.
In the survivors quest book it pretty much says that Palpatine created Empire to protect against the yuuzhan vong and that is why he took complete control of the galaxy.
The ENTIRE POINT of the Prequels is to explain that the Jedi weren't the good guys and to show that perhaps emotions such as love and compassion were more important than being 'Peacekeepers' who never formed attachments and got caught up in politics too often. There are some hints to this in the Prequels but George Lucas' loss of direction made the Prequels miss the point of showing the flaws of the Jedi, to the extent where we are now having The Last Jedi as an entire movie explaining why the Jedi path is incorrect, something that the prequels should have done.
I wish so much that some other director could remake the Prequels but in the right way this time :( I think the whole story of episode 2 and 3 amazing, but ep 2 is a mess in script and ep 3 just don't feel like Star Wars. If only they publish books with the stories, I would be pleased.
@Joseph Thompson you got it all wrong... the purpose of the prequels was to show how the Jedi lost their way and let the force become unbalanced because of it, hence the need for a "chosen one" whose sole reason for existing was to bring everything back to an even keel. sadly, they wrongfully assumed Anakin was this "chosen one". this wrong assumption is proven by the fact that Anakin fell and became Darth Vader, thus tipping the balance in favor of the dark side. however, Anakin's becoming a Jedi was instrumental in ushering the true " chosen one" into existence: Luke Skywalker. certain plot points introduced in Return of the Jedi underline this fact: 1. Luke clearly uses dark side powers, and has purely dark intentions, multiple time during the story arc (force choking Jabba's guards; intending to literally murder both Jabba and Sidious if they don't comply) 2. acting towards the greater good by rescuing his friends from the clutches of Jabba, and finally saving Darth Vader from being a pawn of the dark side. point one clearly shows he willingly had one foot in the dark, and point two reminds us his other foot never left the light. he straddled both worlds comfortably, without ever losing himself fully in either extreme. this(!) is the literal meaning of the word balance...
Luke:Rey you are the last Jedi I will not survive Gets shot by stormtrooper Rey:nooooooo ???:Rey it is okay there is one more Jedi Pulls off hood Jar Jar:me Rey:noooooo
Why do so many people think Mace Windu came to kill Palpatine? Just because they took out their lightsabers? Palpatine is a damn Sith Lord!!! Look how fast he killed 3 of them! They were carefull. It wasn't that usefull in The end but it was the best they could do. Yes Windu finally tried to kill him but only because he killed 3 Jedi knights. That is totally understandable! Maybe that's only my opinion but I think they wanted to arrest him and failed because of Anakin.
But she couldn't be Obi wan's kid, she'd have to be his granddaughter. They have given nothing on the backstory of Luke in the new canon but an interesting theory I read was that Obi wan had a secret family, Luke found his daughter, and they had a child, Rey, meaning Rey is both a kenobi AND a Skywalker. I dont believe that theory will play out, but if it did, that would be pretty damn cool.
Rey can't be the daughter of obi-wan. She isn't old enough, it could have SLIGHTLY been possible if Rey was 35 years old, and if obi wan had sex with some woman right before he died. He was old, so nope.
Rey being a Kenobi requires some serious heretofore unseen factors to be added. It makes sense as a *theory*, but the practice is baseless. Alternate theory: Rey is the child of Ezra Bridger from Rebels.
Pink Guy just because he believes in the force doesn't mean anything I think he was once trained by a Jedi ( before he was blinded )or he trained him self because remember when he walk through lots of blaster bolts and lived the storm troopers shooting at him know how to aim and yet he lives I still think he is a Jedi he may not have a lightsaber but not all Jedi use lightsabers
I think a better and much more plausible theory regarding Jar Jar is that Palpatine, being from Naboo, used Jar Jar's notoriety after the invasion on Naboo to set him up as a senator knowing he could ultimately manipulate him. Then obviously manipulated him into giving him power in Sith.
It is a known fact that Qui-Gon used Jedi mindtrick on Jar Jar just to get in to where his people are and then used it on other Gungons as well so they can reach Theed in time to rescue the Queen and get people, i study the plot and know that Palpatine was the one behind it all the whole time, Darth Jar Jar was a fan theory the whole time.
I watched the clone wars show and Lucas clearly wanted to hint that they wanted a darth Jar Jar. Well that and the fact that he admitted that he was going to turn out to be evil, but people hated him so much that they scrapped the idea.
I've had a theory since seeing The Force Awakens. I think it's a stretch but plausible. Here goes : Rey is Anakin. Anakin was born of the Force, no biological parents. That entity that became known as Anakin didn't bring balance to the Force, he failed because he was corrupted by the Dark Side. This is why there is a Force Awakens, Kylo and Snoke exist and are Dark Side users so clearly the Dark Side was not eliminated (if that's what was meant by bring balance to the Force, which Obi Wan verifies by saying "You were to destroy the SIth not join them!") So, I thought well if that entities mission was not finished why could it not have been reborn to do it right this time? To eliminate the Sith once and for all? This time that entity was born a female, Rey. Just like Anakin appeared to his "mother", Rey appeared to Luke.. Luke focusing on the rebuilding of the Jedi and probably a bit mystified by her appearance, drops her off to Simon Pegg. He then eventually flees after Kylo destroys his work and kills his students. I think Luke's expression at the end of Force Awakens perhaps gives this away, there is a look of recognition, not just of his fathers lightsaber but of Rey. Which brings me to my final point, Anakins Lightsaber. No one else has had a reaction to it like she has. Not Han, Obi Wan, Luke (Anakins own son), Leia, no one has, EXCEPT Rey. I believe the saber called to her, lead her to it and then flooded her with memories of her previous life. She is still not aware perhaps of what she is, but I have a feeling she will discover this in Episode VIII. I think, because Lightsabers are very personal to their Jedi, the saber recognized her as it's owner, thereby verifying who she really is.
Aseril Her theme is Palpatine's theme sped up in a higher octave, she shares his lightsaber fighting style instinctually, he talks to her during her force vision, she nearly falls to the dark side 3 times during the movie, and Luke knows EXACTLY who she is, so does Snoke, and while Luke clearly thinks training her will be a huge risk, Snoke has been searching for her. In the book adaptation of Force Awakens, the evidence is a lot stronger.
10. Possible 09. While it's possible ignoring some flaws and despite a lot of "What ifs", the common knowledge is Palpatine's only ever target was Anakin. In both legends (Force Awakens) and Canon (Darth Vader comics) he was building up other apprentice(s) to replace Vader. 08. Possible, except that our heroes have to be a sadistic bunch to let even defeated Stormtroopers get eaten like that. My theory that Luke had C3pO convince them to spare their lives. Although whether they kept some of the helmets as trophies or sneakily had snack with a few homo sapiens is upto debate. 07. The more I see this theory come up, the more I want to believe. 06. Unless officially rejected this is the most accurate ever theory to get a video like this. 05. Possible. Still curious. Anakin's force powers can conjure the effects of a love potion? That's how the Force works now? 04. Pretty much possible. 03. Except the part of her being Obi Wan's daughter, while I seriously doubt Obi Wan "taking interests" in Tatooine. Either way Rey'd be over 35-40s during TFA. But not impossible for him and Satine to hook up for a one night stand during the political crisis in Mandalore mentioned in the Clone Wars. And that child being sent off for secrecy, grew up, had his own child. My theory Obi Wan is Rey's grandfather. 02. They Jedi weren't the heroes true but they were quite far from being villains. They didn't take up arms on purpose. Having served a republic full of corrupt individuals, manipulated by Palpatine and also their powers and rationality diminishing due to their base being on top of a former Sith Temple, most of the questionable acts on their part weren't intentionally evil. 01. The Rebels didn't see that coming. That's like saying the Rebels knew this threat was coming but pulled a "It's rather die a free man than live a slave" enforcement by defeating the Empire which sounds bs. Most similar sci fi stories I have seen tells that the Empire would only focus on enforcing the worlds without eco-strategic benefits and leave the rest to the mercy of the upcoming threat. And given their track records of expandable manpowers, resources and innocent lives, casualties either way. But then again, they're all just theories.
Sharil Shahed I read all of these and they are very accurate one thing is though for #2 Watch Film Theorists video on the death star and how the rebels are actually terrorists aswell as the Jedi
Film Theory said that the Rebels in Rogue one will become the Knights of Ren, that's as accurate as you think the idea of Jedi being the bad guys. Again, like I said, it's amazing how people want to prefer genocidal Nazis over people who know the consequences but don't have a choice during their actions. I recently had a brief topic of study in Code of Wars and they pretty much justifies the Rebels. So nope it's your opinion and to anyone with dank philosophies that feel better supporting the Empire, to me it's just bs fan-fiction. Being actually from one of the nations born from successful rebellions, I can confirm most of my theories.
Well the Jedi-Order manipulated the Galactic Council several times and even commited multiple genocides like on the Ubese or their most famous the Sith-Holocaust after the great Hyperspace War which lead to the extinction of the Pureblood-Sith. The Jedi are in my opinion the Villains because they try to maintain power in holding others back and keep them weak so they have to rely on the jedi. Even in the Clone-Wars there were no real military commanders besides the jedi what was bothering many of the republican officers like Captain Tarkin. The jedi are just manipulating the Republic and brought an enemy to life with a 4000 year old grudge. Yes the Sith are opressive but they don't make a fuzz about it and are honest in that, while the jedi have a smile on their face and their lightsabre to stab you in the back.
The fortifying the galaxy theory is quite an interesting one. And one I hadn't heard before. It makes a lot of sense as well, considering. It's a shame they removed the Vong invasion from the canon.
There's afew villains in games that have similar motivations, for instance Saren from Mass Effect 1 is seen as an evil guy as he goes rogue and goes about killing people in his way, even his own apprentice, and taking over the Citadel, which is basically the centre of all politics in the galaxy. It turns out he was doing all this because he learned about the Reapers which would be coming to destroy the entire galaxy very soon. Also, he's actually legally allowed to kill anyone as he's a Spectre, they exist so they can go about any means to finishing their missions so he wasn't so bad but he didn't know about the Reapers indoctrinating abilities so he fell into their trap. Loghain from Dragon age is similar to this too, so the Emperor knowing about a future threat and fortyfing against it is interesting but there are no clues and no confirmation whatsoever so right now he's basically just an evil emperor.
Well, all authoritarian, fascist or imperialist regimes claim they want to make us stronger, bring law and order and yada yada, so it's subjective. The Republic (Rebels) would also say they make the galaxy stronger with a united federation.
Palpatine recruited thrawn (The blue admiral i dont know if i got the name right) by telling him he was creating the empire to defend against the invasion
I just came back. Didn't expect so many replies haha. A lot of good points were made here. In the Legends the New Republic nearly fell because it did not know of the invasion, and wasn't properly unified at the time. Makes me wonder how it would have gone if the Vong invaded before the fall of the Empire. I do also wonder if they would ever consider keeping the Vong invasion for the canon in the future as well.
What if she's not a Skywalker OR a Kenobi? What if she was a result of midichloriens like Anakin? It would explain why she's so force sensitive even though she's had no training.
I think I read somewhere that the "main" Star Wars Saga (ep 1-7, and upcoming 8 & 9) are Skywalker story. The new "A Star Wars story" films are supposed to be stories about side characters and events not envolving Skywalkers directly. So with that I think that Rey is a Skywalker. Hopefully with a bit of Jade in there as well
she's a Kenobi..it's pretty much been confirmed in one of the new books..but she isn't his child. the main star wars movies will focus on the skywakers but as in luke and kylo.
***** Granddaughter...like i said she is not his daughter. it's going to be the grand kids of Darth Vader and obi wan going at it. yet it would still be a skywalker story..luke and kylo are both skywalkers.
Rey being Obiwon Kenobi's daughter (it thats true, then she is pretty hot looking for 45/50 yr old womandoesn't make sense,I mean Luke was in his early 20's when A NEW HOPE happened and that was nearly 40 years before Rey was born...but if it was said that she was Obiwon's grand daughter...then yeah it makes sense.
I think that's the theory... though her being left behind by Obi-Wan makes no sense at all, because she'd have to be at least 45-50 years old. Her being a grand-daughter is possible, as Obi-Wan had a lover in canon (Duchess Satine of Mandalore, seen in some episodes of The Clone Wars), but it still couldn't have been Obi-Wan who dropped her off. If you want to make her a Kenobi, then it would probably be have to be somebody like Ahsoka who drops her off though....
Force Awakens takes place at least 30 years after RotJ because Ben Solo is 30 years old, Rey is 19 in the movie. Obi Wan dies 5 years before RotJ so theres at least 16 years from his death at 59 to the birth of Rey, so she would have to be his Granddaughter which brings up the problem of where were his kids in A New Hope? Is Obi Wan a deadbeat dad?
I really hope Rey is a Kenobi. It would make the story a lot more interesting. And I hope Luke has a son that we have not discovered about yet, so the Skywalker family doesn't die out.
Anyone else think that older Luke, from the force awakens looks a little bit too much like the younger Obi Wan, almost as if maybe Anakin was right that Padme had betrayed him ;)
Jar Jar being a Sith lord was planned to happen throughout 1 and 2, you can see him using mind tricks on Padme in 1, however they scrapped this idea as people just hated him and therefore mostly erased him from episode 3

Emperor's aim to make Luke his apprentice in place of Vader, and Ewoks aiming to eat the stormtroopers are barely theories, they're basically canon.
The prophecy said Anakin would 'bring balance to the force'.
He did.
Two Sith: himself and the Emperor.
Two Jedi: Obi-Wan and Yoda.
Two = Two.
Balance achieved.
There's more then two jedis in canon though. We don't really know what happens to the Jedi's in Rebels
Originally there were only two sith and two jedi, but since writers had to keep inserting special snowflake jedi/sith it kind of fucks up this theory.
Kanan was a padawan when he left, so we can't consider him a Jedi.
And Ezra is learning from a padawan, so we can't consider him a Jedi either.
We'll just see what happens at the end of Rebels...

I've always believed that the prophecy to bring balance to the Force was actually fulfilled. The Jedi seemed to have this belief that the balance came from eradicating the Dark Side, but that would push it to one extreme. Anakin brought balance to the Force by falling over to the Dark Side, thereby shifting the amount of power across, bringing it away from the Jedi who had kept the peace for millennia, over to the Sith, readjusting the balance somewhat.

inquisitors arent sith, they just use lightsabers.
Argorok87 OP I used to think this was common knowledge but clearly not 😂
IS IT JUST ME OR DO JEDIS AND SITHS CUT ALOT OF LIMBS IN THESE MOVIES
Every good Star Wars movie ends with one of the characters losing a hand :P

Han doesn't use the force to dodge blasters. Storm troopers just have a crappy aim
Sean Maguire no storm troopers have a great aim it's just that palpatine made them have bad shooting skills
Sean Maguire "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise"
No, it’s plot armor that disney removed near the end of the force awakens
Nope the original strom trooper armor had very narrow and small bits of glass where the eyes were but the first order fixed that problem by giving them a wider and a bigger way to see giving them better aim then the empereal troopers
I always read "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise" with the Obi Wan's Clone Wars era Sasslord voice, because really there are blast points all over the sandcrawler, so it seems pretty sarcastic to call it precision to begin with - but only more so when the Clone Wars gives Obi Wan legendary Sass abilities.
I lost it when it said "The Ewoks ate the Stormtroopers"
what if Han was just a regular guy without force powers and had just the famous main-character-shield+skills? o.0
stormtroopers should be good at aiming...I mean...they're elite soldiers...but nvm
Yeah probobly becuose stormtroopers aim sucks
The reason they don't hit anyone is either because Lucas didn't want to kill the main characters off, or that they were sent off to fight, and that they didn't complete their training. Also they are stronger in numbers.
it's called "plot armor"
+Jessica Winum Actually the reason they don't hit anyone (at least in the death star) is because they want to follow the rebels and Jedi back to their home base. It's in a theory.
Actually, in the *Canon* "Vader comic" series, we see Vader interacting with the stormtroopers on tatooine and ordered the execution of both Owen and Beru Lars.

They weren't disintegrated, but Boba does have a flamethrower. Boba owned an illegal DXR-6 disruptor rifle, which was intended to disable the shields of small ships, but if it hit a person, it would demolecularize them completely.
Most Star Wars theories are just the fans attempting to fill plot holes

Magemo not possible, obi wan wouldn't have kids, it's goes against the Jedi order
and look what anakin did... if you haven't seen the clone wars Obi-Wan said to Duchess Satine that given the word he would of left the jedi order for her. its not a far stretch to say it was possible.
There is no Jedi order anymore once he is on his own. + if the son of a Jedi has a strong force through him, that would mean obi-wan's family will have a strong force sensibility. #midichlorians

The movies aren't the only canon. The movies, The Clone Wars series and everything released after Disney's purchase is canon.
Actually, no. Disney bought Star War a long time ago, and a lot of books came out about Star Wars during that time. But all those books except maybe one or two aren't considered canon anymore. And yes, the Clone Wars is canon.
Black Vendaeta I don't know what you call a long time, but Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012.
oh, I thought it was in 2007
I don't think Knights of the Fallen Empire or Knights of the Eternal Throne are considered canon and I'm pretty sure KOTFE came out after Disney bought out LucasArts and I know that KOTET did.
Lt. Basil Star Wars the Old Republic is sadly not canon indeed,
“Rey is a Kenobi” we all know how that goes.
I'm confused, does BB-8 give Finn a thumbs up or the finger?
In isolation, I totally agree it can look like the finger, but in context of the movie AND the fact that it's Star Wars, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say it was a thumbs up back at Finn's.
Patrick Turner I think I just started it though
Yeah He did.
Matthew Robben its thumbs up👍see you see it clearly

My favorite one is that Rei is a kenobi. It's not only a great theory but it would make the series truly legendary.
Mr. Loney nerd 🤓
Question good theory but we seen Kenobis ghost meaning he died and he died when Luke was young and Rey is young in those movies while Luke is old that would mean the if obi wan kenobi would be super old with a child
Colin Fergus being his grandkid is typically what the theory suggests
Obi Wan is far too old
crimsontowers it would have the greay grandchild or he would've been an old dad
Obi Wan Kenobi cannot be Rey's Father.
Rey would be so much older because Obi wan could not have a Child as he was fighting with Vader
Rey would be almost as old as Leia in TFA
Gaming Noodle no she could be his grand daughter though.
Gaming Noodle also an audio file from the followup video game has Kylo refer to Rey as "cousin"
Actually at obi wans age he could have had a child to be honest. Unlikely yet being related to obi wan would be cool but i'd like the house of Revan tie in.
False, he says Curses
If you think about it, just like Darth Plagauies or Sidius created Anakin, the old Ben could be able to use the force to create life. He was able to became one with the force itself. Ben Kenobi, you naughty old man :D
MY theory is that incinerator troopers burnt Luke’s home because anybody who’s seen the mandalorian knows what those trooper can do
This is the way
In mando it was imperial remnants not really empire
And why whould they burn an innocent man's house without any proof or arresting
dang it disney....that yujangvong invasion or whatever sounds cooler than a third death star....
eh idk the starkiller base was basically death star 3.0. sooooo original
Right, because if you have the plans for something that guarantees you the most power in the galaxy, and the technology and resources to improve on it, you'd pass that opportunity up because it's been done before.
"Hey, I made this really good machine gu-"
"No. There have already been 2 other machine gun models."
"Hey, Bill Gates, we improved Windows. We can get this mass-produced by 1995."
"Sorry, no.
+DavidtheWavid yeah, but it's when those 2 attempts fail and quite literally blow up in your face that you just stop.
The Jedi being evil isn't a theory, from my point of view anyway

One of the best things Lucas did to the prequels was put that spin on it that there is no black and white, only grey. I think it's a cool representation of the time, as the late 70's and early 80's films that had conflict in them were usually good vs bad, like John Wayne cowboy films and nearly every war film. Whereas when the prequels came out 99-05, film had undergone a transformation that looked at both sides rather than one, and showed that it was a grey area.
Spoiler alert from the Last Jedi:

She might be his descendant, not necessarily his daughter!
Michael G And then screwed it up. The anti-alien bias was bad, as was not actually telling people at least a bit of what was going on.
Looking back at this now, Kenobi was originally going to Rey's grandfather
The ENTIRE POINT of the Prequels is to explain that the Jedi weren't the good guys and to show that perhaps emotions such as love and compassion were more important than being 'Peacekeepers' who never formed attachments and got caught up in politics too often. There are some hints to this in the Prequels but George Lucas' loss of direction made the Prequels miss the point of showing the flaws of the Jedi, to the extent where we are now having The Last Jedi as an entire movie explaining why the Jedi path is incorrect, something that the prequels should have done.
Corner Twist yes, but the Jedi existed for thousands of years before Anakin tried to disobey the rules
I wish so much that some other director could remake the Prequels but in the right way this time :( I think the whole story of episode 2 and 3 amazing, but ep 2 is a mess in script and ep 3 just don't feel like Star Wars. If only they publish books with the stories, I would be pleased.
@Joseph Thompson
you got it all wrong...
the purpose of the prequels was to show how the Jedi lost their way and let the force become unbalanced because of it, hence the need for a "chosen one" whose sole reason for existing was to bring everything back to an even keel. sadly, they wrongfully assumed Anakin was this "chosen one". this wrong assumption is proven by the fact that Anakin fell and became Darth Vader, thus tipping the balance in favor of the dark side.
however, Anakin's becoming a Jedi was instrumental in ushering the true " chosen one" into existence: Luke Skywalker.
certain plot points introduced in Return of the Jedi underline this fact:
1. Luke clearly uses dark side powers, and has purely dark intentions, multiple time during the story arc (force choking Jabba's guards; intending to literally murder both Jabba and Sidious if they don't comply)
2. acting towards the greater good by rescuing his friends from the clutches of Jabba, and finally saving Darth Vader from being a pawn of the dark side.
point one clearly shows he willingly had one foot in the dark, and point two reminds us his other foot never left the light. he straddled both worlds comfortably, without ever losing himself fully in either extreme. this(!) is the literal meaning of the word balance...
Luke:Rey you are the last Jedi I will not survive

Now we know that Rey is not a skywalker or a kenobi after the rise of skywalker
Why do so many people think Mace Windu came to kill Palpatine? Just because they took out their lightsabers? Palpatine is a damn Sith Lord!!! Look how fast he killed 3 of them! They were carefull. It wasn't that usefull in The end but it was the best they could do. Yes Windu finally tried to kill him but only because he killed 3 Jedi knights. That is totally understandable! Maybe that's only my opinion but I think they wanted to arrest him and failed because of Anakin.
"He controls the senate and the courts. He's too dangerous to be left alive!" Mace Windu.
Palpatine saying “He was too dangerous to be left alive” after Anakin kill Dooku in a same movie
If Rey being a Kenobi was true the whole series would be so much more coincidental and crazy
Ian Fullen Rey is kanobi's grand daughter. Think about it, we dealing with the grand child of Darth Vader.
Damien Hailey She can't be Ezra's kid. Don't mean to be racist, but Ezra's Latino, Rey's White.

Valpas Kankaristo it's always that time of the year.
Darth Vanquish good one there sir
Darth Vanquish I totally agree. Jar Jar clearly lacks the intelligence do deceive anyone, let alone be part of any secret plot.
Forgotten Camel the actor who played Jar Jar basically confirmed that on Reddit
Ray wasn't even a Kenobi, she's palpatine
Han solo having the force.. *Dodging stormtrooper shots* That ain't hard to do XD
This is why there is a Force Awakens, Kylo and Snoke exist and are Dark Side users so clearly the Dark Side was not eliminated (if that's what was meant by bring balance to the Force, which Obi Wan verifies by saying "You were to destroy the SIth not join them!")
So, I thought well if that entities mission was not finished why could it not have been reborn to do it right this time?
Rey is a Palpatine, not a Kenobi, not a Skywalker.
Mark Samenfink Your proof?
Mark Samenfink Ray might just be a hobo 😂😂😂🙈
Aseril Her theme is Palpatine's theme sped up in a higher octave, she shares his lightsaber fighting style instinctually, he talks to her during her force vision, she nearly falls to the dark side 3 times during the movie, and Luke knows EXACTLY who she is, so does Snoke, and while Luke clearly thinks training her will be a huge risk, Snoke has been searching for her. In the book adaptation of Force Awakens, the evidence is a lot stronger.
Then why bother with Anakin and luke at all?
whylie74 Because she's his grand-daughter, and his direct scion had no force sensitivity. That would be my guess.
Good video great pacing and voice!
I'm subscribing.
We all know Jar-Jar Binks is secretely Master Yoda in disguise because Yoda can't melt steel beems. Yoda did 9/11 confirmed
Yes, the Emporer was always trying to replace Vader after Mustafar. He did want Luke as his apprentice since he knew of him.
Also the Jedi are not heroes. They are hypocritical fools, especially the Council.
yeah this is quite obvious... dont know why is this a "theory".... lulz
10. Possible
+Sharil Shahed A lot of people forget that the Jedi Council was under orders from the Galactic Council.
CloudSteele true that.
Who’s watching this 2020 and we all know that Rey is a Palpatine

The fortifying the galaxy theory is quite an interesting one. And one I hadn't heard before. It makes a lot of sense as well, considering. It's a shame they removed the Vong invasion from the canon.
But testing the weapon in the subjects that you are to protect makes no sense anyway xD
I personally think Rey is the love-child of Jar Jar and Leia :P
and I personally agree
Yeah, Obi-Wan totally had a kid 15 years after he died.

What if she's not a Skywalker OR a Kenobi? What if she was a result of midichloriens like Anakin? It would explain why she's so force sensitive even though she's had no training.
Bisexual Witch Things don't you bring midichloriens into this
Clash Mine bro Studios don't tell me what to do.
This isn't a new theory. And is probably exactly what she is.
I really hope Rey is a kenobi it just makes so much sense
Daniel Lopez yeah especially when you can hear obi wan calling out to Rey in her vision
Kylo/Ben is a Solo, his dad is Han
Screen Rant: "Rey is a kenobi...'
Me: "OOF"
Anikin- lost hand
Luke- Lost hand
Leia- lost Han
And Han fell because there was no hand rail
HORIZONS the irony!
She would have lost a hand too, but she was the one skywalker without a D.
C-3po lost Hand
**Rey sweats nervously**
There is no way Rey can be kenobi’s offspring
Rey being Obiwon Kenobi's daughter (it thats true, then she is pretty hot looking for 45/50 yr old womandoesn't make sense,I mean Luke was in his early 20's when A NEW HOPE happened and that was nearly 40 years before Rey was born...but if it was said that she was Obiwon's grand daughter...then yeah it makes sense.
Sammy Lane, completely agree!
*granddaughter
Tim Slack You can save everyone in the Galaxy/Solar System but you can't everyone individually, right??I suppose that could be the case for Obi Wan??
Wait a sec Obi Wan got busy...
I really hope Rey is a Kenobi. It would make the story a lot more interesting. And I hope Luke has a son that we have not discovered about yet, so the Skywalker family doesn't die out.
jake from statefarm Nope she was sold for food by junkies
Flexi_Flix that’s what Ben said
Bloxer The Blob he ripped that from Rey’s mind, Rey knew who her parents where but denied it anyways hoping for something more than that
jake from statefarm leiya is a Skywalker technically
Anyone else think that older Luke, from the force awakens looks a little bit too much like the younger Obi Wan, almost as if maybe Anakin was right that Padme had betrayed him ;)
Leon Hostad this made my day
Leon Hostad well then it made sense that anakin wanted to kill obi wan the guy fucked his wife and made her pregnant
Would be a very awesome plot twist! But why should Darth Vader save Lukes live when he‘s not his child ?
Leon Hostad kinda
Lol so the “luke I am your father” part is a fake😂😂
No joke but Star Wars battle front 2 trailer came on at the start of the video
Jar Jar being a Sith lord was planned to happen throughout 1 and 2, you can see him using mind tricks on Padme in 1, however they scrapped this idea as people just hated him and therefore mostly erased him from episode 3
Screen rant slowly getting back in my good books
