Sorry Mark - when it comes to small blocks, the 289 Windsor I owned back in the day sounded better than any of the small block Mopar engines I've owned (the little 273 was my favourite fwiw). Big blocks are a different kettle of fish, but who can afford to drive one of those in 2024 ? ;)

I would like to know if I changed a 5.3 chevy 5 speed transmission to six speed and some type of turbo or charger will improve my power and more important increase MPG what about reliable? I want the before and after. All you give a shit about is power. Who gives a shit! I do not want to purchase a new 100,000.00 dollar truck and 50,000 miles later after the warrenty expires the transmission drops or engine fails. The risk is to much. I would rather purchase an older truck or SUV and invest in new transmission and type of turbo. I need to tow 3,500 pounds. What can you do to represent good options.
