@@leonruvalcaba1549 Sound of the work is very important too. You can hear many properties of the material you work with. Every service tech with some experience will tell you that. Each machine has it's own specific "music" and if you know it, you can find out a lot of problems before they can become a disaster :) Sound in work is as much important as sight, that's why i also preffer those clips with real sounds of the craft.
I once made a turkey by tracing my hand. This guy creates works of art. I wish I could get one of those anvils hear in the USA. Keep up the craftsmanship.
I love how he actually shows you what its used for at the end. So many people make videos like these and then it just ends, so you're like what the heck is that thing supposed to do. Great vid man.
That's what you call a quality tool. It will last forever and will produce high quality work every time. It was a pleasure to watch your video Torbjorn.
You are a true wizard. It’s a work of art, as usual! I’m making a draw knife right now…… it will be my signature wavy surface uneven bevel paper thin draw knife.
We must be thankful there are old-world men of the elements still walking the planet such as yourself who take the time to instruct us in The Black Arts of fire and steel. These skills are making somewhat of a renaissance and in no small part to folks as yourself, as limited in numbers as they are. You're an amazing and very talented craftsman and it's an absolute joy watching you create. What Ill never understand is how this gentleman and his considerable skills has attracted over a thousand thumbs down!
Hej Torbjorn, Your tools are usually so precise, I love how you just used a handy lump of wood when you needed a soft hammer to straighten out the steel - very efficient!
Torbjörn, I've watched a number of your videos and after watching this tool develop over 19 minutes, I am going to be hard pressed to miss another video. I am a woodworker and have been lurking and beginning to develop a desire to work with metal. i could almost feel the balance and sturdiness of knife by the end of that video. Thank you.
+Torbjörn, gotta ditto Ryan on that...great job - on the blade as well as the video production. I loved the sped-up bits - you got the point across and with a little humor. Nicely done, sir. 👍🏻
Wow wow! What an amazing craft. I had no idea how involved of a process this is. Sure makes me appreciate small artisans more, and it makes me realize that they deserve the price they’re asking, and probably more
Eduardo Basile Definetly not. And my second thought was; that would be a nice variation from the axe when making kindling. Especially when you get planks-ends and similar left over from other projects :)
Absolutely beautiful again. This is a tool I, and any woodworker, would consider one of their most prized. Your work is the best I've come across in quality.
Torbjörn, i LOVE what you do; Little tip; try chalking the wood where an axe handle is gonna rest, or any tight metal on wood part that you don't want slipping. Chalk is extremely grippy, never lost a head or decorative metal part with it. Also try chalking your files too, it works well for clog prevention.
Everybody would like to be an artist in their trade. I'd like to to be an exceptional artisan first and if it happens so, maybe an artist. Great respect for you attitude towards material and tools. You're an exceptional artisan.
awesome skills I appreciate a guy who has traditional ideas and crafstmanship. I have restored some of my great grandfather's tools and am building a hand hewn log cabin and forging the hardware and nails to put it together
Great example of a practical, useful, and beautiful tool. It speaks volumes about how a superbly functional object can also be art. Also, I really like your video style with just the natural sounds of the tools. Great work as always.
I love your videos man, they're always so nice to follow and calming because you don't put any distracting music on them. I really like that. So much to learn from you! :) Thank you very much for sharing!
Now,there's a draw knife that anyone would be proud to own! I would certainly put that to good use! You have amazing amazing skills my friend! Excellent work!
Awesome! Such level of craftsmanship! This is so pleasing to watch, twice or more! Beats a movie at the cinema. Hour well spent! I'll share this with my brother, we both grew up watching dear old grandpa doing this, the old-school way (but not as good as yours). Thank you!

I was about to criticize your way of fixing the handles, fixing them without glue or epoxy or sth else, until I saw you testing it; it is too sharp and deals with wood as if it is butter. I really Enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks for posting this. I always enjoy watching your videos. Very inspiring. I think i like watching your wood working just as much as your smithing. :)
Awesome job! Love your work. You make it look so easy. I have been smithing for about 8 years now and the more I watch you work the better I get! Thank You so much for taking the time to make these videos! I hope to one day be as good as you and to share my knowledge the same way you have! Thanks again from Iron Will Forge!
Dear friend, thank you for showing your work. I came up with the idea of making a drawknife for myself, and with your video, I felt encouraged to put my will into practice, even though I did not have all the tools you have, but I'll try anyway. Hugs and thanks for the inspiration.
Very handsome tool and would compliment anyone's toolbox. I'm sure you'll use it a lot. The heat treating was worth it. Worked for a guy who's friend did heat treating. I wondered around looking at all the ovens, each with it's batch of parts, all small scale production. I appreciate your understanding and what a great tool it produced.
I AM A MUCH BETTER PERSON FOR HAVING WATCHED THIS. aSTONISHING, bEAUTIFUL,aRTISTIC AND WAY COOL. thank you from Wisconsin, North America. Peace&LoveAreWe
'Ha ha'' is just my all time favorite thing to say, anytime. I AM NOT KIDDING.Thank you for your reply. Made my little heart go bump, in a good way. Thank you for being in my life and thank you for thinking of thanking me.Peace&Love
Very very beautiful drawknife! I am a woodworker myself and I would love to use that tool :)
Thanks for your cool videos!
Thank you very much!!
I noticed he was using it with the bevel up. I was taught to use mine with the bevel down as I use a chisel.
thank you for not having annoying, repetitious background music on your videos!
Cory Pride hey whats wrong with the cool and fun royalty free tutorial music?
Leonardo Ruvalcaba its bullshit to have music in a video like this

idk about any one else but i think he sound of traditional metal making/forging so relaxing, and satisfying
how satisfying to build things with the tools you made yourself. very nice!

Outstanding 👍🏻 I liked the fact you used the draw knife to shape the handles 😁 cuts evenly and draws smoothly. Quality workmanship 👍🏻
