How will they get the droids/armour/guns if when they are made they are floating in space plus wouldn’t the stuff get sucked into the star that the star forge is above it
There was only one of them though. The one built around the Rakatan star system. Although I do think your argument does have some merit. We do know that the Star Maps and the Star Forge itself all have self repairing properties and can repair themselves even after immense destruction, so it could be possible that the Star Forge slowly repaired itself after thousands of years even though we see it destroyed in the canonical light side ending of KOTOR. The one thing that conflicts with this argument is the fact that we don’t see any ships of an alien design (Rakatan ships not documented within any Republic archive) within the First Order fleet.
I think it would be cool if the star forge was never fully destroyed but was slowly rebuilding itself up until when palpatine finds it and uses it to build his final order.
So: The Star Forge can actually repair itself; and we know pieces of it survived. Also Rakata Prime is canon now, courtesy of a map in a book. The Star Forge could still be out there, slowly putting itself back together and waiting to be used again.
I was really hoping they were gonna adapt this to explain how the first order sprang up out of nowhere and they didnt and I was really extremely disappointed
So technically speaking, you can build an infinite amount of Mandator IV Seige Dreadnoughts, Suprememecy Ultra Star destroyers, Eclipse Super Star Destroyers, Xyston Planet Destroyers, or even an infinite amount of Death Stars.
This was pretty much a case study in why space travelers need a Prime Directive. Also World Devastators were pretty much the spiritual sequel to this shot show.
Here is a cool concept for a super weapon : a device that can relocate dark side influence/corruption to any place of the operators choosing. Imagine picking up Malacor's wound in the force and chucking it at people.
The rule of Palpatine saw the idea of using a colossal number of resources to build a planet-destroying weapon. It would be more favorable if you had a near-endless fleet of massive warships, similar to Grand Admiral Thrawn's idea. A limitless fleet, capable of spreading the control and wrath of the Empire wherever needed. With the Death Star, it's a slow, big, unguarded piece of crap. For humor, I recommend watching Robot Chicken's "Palpatine's phone call". It's very hilarious.
“Battles are won by soldiers, Wars are won by logistics.” Having a cheat for infinite resources/logistics would win even the most incompetent army the war. Just ask the Soviet Union during WW2, they threw bodies nobody else could or would ever do, and eventually won the war, despite having the second most primitive army.
Why is it that Star Wars Legends always seems to be more interesting to the mainstream continuity? This will make a better movie than a story about Darth Vader's two girls.
Please... more stories about this race. They seem pretty fascinating. I love to hear about the crazy technology the celestials & others had at their disposal over just the raw power of an individual with the darkside.
It's a good thing that the Star Forge was long gone when Palpy was in charge, just imagine the kind of horrors he could've got up to if he had the Star Forge.
Imagine if the Rakatans hadn't managed to corrupt their station. The galaxy would look very different. The Jedi and Sith as we know them would not exist. The Republic as we know it would not exist.
A superweapon of hyperefficient production and logistics will always outclass any superweapon of pure destruction. Weapons don't necessarily win wars; your military industrial complex and logistics does. Best Star Wars superweapon IMO.
@@tomaskops7119 Because they had the resources of an entire galaxy + Palpatine's secret stash in the core. The Star Forge makes more sense as the First Order's superweapon.
The title is misleading. The all of the Rakata and the Star Forge itself predates the time of Sith dominance in the galaxy, and in fact battled against the Infinite Empire on their homeworld.
Star Forge was such an inspired concept. when playing kotor back in 2003-04 i couldnt even fathom what the star forge could be, i didnt even think of the death star when playing the game. then when we arrive in the Lehon system and the cinematic shows up Star Forge for the first time its perfect, i immediately knew its purpose and it was amazing and terrifying.
Galactic Empire: our Death star is the ultimate superweapon. First Order: Starkiller Base is better than everything else. ???: amateurs! Galactic Empire: what do you say, punk?! Ancient sith and rakata: (Star Forge) Amateurs!!!
In Star Wars: The Old Republic (TOR), we find out that Revan took a small piece of the Star Forge and gave it to a group of aliens for safekeeping. He instructed them to give the bodies of their deceased to it, and it in turn gave them the resources they needed to survive, potentially even including food, water, and oxygen.
I mean honestly this would have been an answer for the The Rise of Skywalker's Exegol fleet. Nice bit of fanservice and acknowledgement of the roots of the series while giving a plausible explanation of how you can make 10,000+ half dreadnaughts with no raw material or labor.
would have been cool if Palpatine in ep 9. as bad as it was, it may have been improved if he mentioned the method as to which he was able to create so many star destroyers was with a fragment of an ancient piece of technology from an empire long since forgotten. rather than it seemed to be a moment where the screen writer just simply said "Massive Fleet of Star Destroyers with Planet Killing Powers"
What's interesting, the Star Forge's severed parts are capable to replicate and enlarge, still maintaining their productive capabilities... In a few thousands years more it's quite possible there will be a few functional star forges reconsructed from the wreckage on Lehon.
So much expanded universe lore just tossed away like how the new mandalorians threw away their entire culture and heritage....... *vomits a little bit in my mouth*
The super ancient Sith were actually the savors of the galaxy, defeating the Rakata at the cost of their home and their people. Though this may have been unintentional, it was more that the ancient race of Jedi did.
When you hear all this and imagen the threat which this one station caused, but also know that they builded three such station and the other two were also been found during the time of the Old Republic (or better the second Sith war if I am not mistaken).
Dude the Rakata are stupid They could have just create more star forges with that star forge and with thoses Star forges create more star forges and with those star forges create more star forges to create more things to make more things that make things that also do some other stuff, sorry what was the question?
They lost their ability to use the Force soon after their failed conquest of Tython's Je'daii. They were hit by a Plague that likely came from the Force itself (or maybe some race that had the ability, like the Gree). The Plague (which attacked Only Rakata) quickly mutated, and began attacking their Force Sensitivity (particularly their most Powerful). Their technology quickly became useless to them, as it was based on their connection to the Force. It took the Galaxy Thousands of Years to Reverse Engineer Rakata Hyperdrives, during which time the Rakata were nearly wiped out by this mysterious Plague, after which the Rakata's numbers decreased from the High Billions to the Low Millions (this only took a few years). The Rakata indeed made many attempts to defeat the Plague, inventing many Wonders (such as Mother Machine), but were ultimately either wiped out, mutated, or were left to live on their home planet looking at their wondrous works (including the Star Forge , which was visible from the Surface of Rakata Prime) knowing they were forever lost to them.

The Death Star can destroy entire planets, but even it is capable of destroying only one at a time. The Starforge can create entire fleets and armies to conquer multiple star systems simultaneously. As bad as the Death Star is, the Starforge makes it look like a joke.
Could you imagine that a piece of the station remained and it began to repair itself using only Star matter and the force? The imperial remnants fled to the unknown regions and bam, a couple of decades later and suddenly in Episode 7 the First Order has “inexplicably” made a fleet of modern, effective battle cruisers. Where and how they got them is not explained at first, but they just keep hinting at “impossible fleet size” and “it isn’t possible for what little of the empire was left to run away and come back in 20 years and be able to fight the entire New Republic not just with quality but quantity as well” Honestly the star forge would have fixed a good chunk of the movie plot holes.

The Necromancer Underking World Devastators are slightly more Dangerous(in that they are even more sturdy and self-replicating)
@@SIVAmemSIVAmemcode The World Devastators from Dark Empire can build more of themselves.
I love The Star Forge and was an epic final showdown with Darth Malaik Sith.
I cheesed the entire final battle by using adrenaline and just out running malaik and just using maxed out force lighting
just imagine what Thrawn would've done with the likes of the starforge
Thrawn: "A superweapon after my own heart"
Yet he was stopped by a teen Padawan xD
if Thrawn would be dangerous in control of the star forge, then Tenebrae would be a universal threat
What if the First Order/Imperial Remnants found a Starforge? It would explain how they assembled a huge fleet within the Unknown Regions.
You see, that would mean forming a coherent story, which we all know Disney is incapable of.
That would have been a great way for Disney to salvage the sequel trilogy while simultaneously tying in legends material.
So: The Star Forge can actually repair itself; and we know pieces of it survived. Also Rakata Prime is canon now, courtesy of a map in a book.
The Star Forge could still be out there, slowly putting itself back together and waiting to be used again.
@@Attaxalotlif the name rakantan prime is canon that means the rakantans are canon :D
I was really hoping they were gonna adapt this to explain how the first order sprang up out of nowhere and they didnt and I was really extremely disappointed

"planet killing super weapons"
Darth Nihilus: *laughs in planet eating*
Glory to the Builders! At the height of their Infinite Empire their Star Forge brought them domination!
This ancient Sith Super weapon made me roll my eyes at Star Wars lore.
So technically speaking, you can build an infinite amount of Mandator IV Seige Dreadnoughts, Suprememecy Ultra Star destroyers, Eclipse Super Star Destroyers, Xyston Planet Destroyers, or even an infinite amount of Death Stars.
There's an upper limit to the size of what the Star Forge could make; but you could have it make things in pieces.
@@Attaxalotl or build a bigger version of it.
This was pretty much a case study in why space travelers need a Prime Directive.
Also World Devastators were pretty much the spiritual sequel to this shot show.
I would absolutely love to hear more about the Infinite Empire and their Force Hounds,as they call them
Here is a cool concept for a super weapon : a device that can relocate dark side influence/corruption to any place of the operators choosing.
Ya know what other super weapon will make you laugh at the deathstar? The Halo Rings...
This story is far better than the whole last trilogy...
I think you need to do a video on Marka Ragno’s, Tulak Hord, and Exar Kun, and the Rakata
Loving your work man.
A true ultimate superweapon would be a lightsaber that can penetrate plot armor.
Palpatine should've taken more art classes.
Why don’t the sith use a lightsaber that can cut plot armor then they would truly be unstoppable
I’m not even sure if that could beat the rebel scums plot armor
Scout Trooper bring them to real life, cause plot armor is non existent in real life 😆
It's a good thing that the Star Forge was long gone when Palpy was in charge, just imagine the kind of horrors he could've got up to if he had the Star Forge.

What if the star forge wasn't destroyed and the Galactic Empire discovered it?
It makes sense in term of question. How Empire gets so fast thousands of Stardestroyers an hundret thousands/milions of support ships
*Then the Empire will really win as it should*

The Star Forge makes more sense as the First Order's superweapon.
Great video. We would like to see more videos exploring the origins of the Force and the time before the Rakata.
The title is misleading. The all of the Rakata and the Star Forge itself predates the time of Sith dominance in the galaxy, and in fact battled against the Infinite Empire on their homeworld.
Love this topic as I played kotor several times and loved playing it on both sides of the force
Uhmmmmmm The Star Forge was NOT a SITH weapon.. It was a Rekata weapon it predates the Sith by only a ohh few thousand years.
It was used as a weapon by the Sith so it's a Sith weapon
KOTOR 1 did amazing with the very short time you where on the star forge
This is why I much prefer Legends to "canon". It has so much more going on. That, and Rey isn't in it.
Yet the rakata were still pushed back by the sith when the rakata tried to take korriban
That would have required the sequels to have had a script or screenplay instead of just being spaceballs 2 the search for more money.
Question, could the star forge creat another star forge?
when hammerhead sharks begin to walk
Is it only me who see that star wars is the futuristic Roman republic/empire era
Warhammer 40k is way closer to that
would have been cool if Palpatine in ep 9. as bad as it was, it may have been improved if he mentioned the method as to which he was able to create so many star destroyers was with a fragment of an ancient piece of technology from an empire long since forgotten. rather than it seemed to be a moment where the screen writer just simply said "Massive Fleet of Star Destroyers with Planet Killing Powers"
This weapon was not a creation of the Sith. It was used by them, but they didn't create it.
It corroded the user and turned them into dust. Darth Sion be like "well that looks like a job for me"
This makes me sad.
I want a super weapon of mas existence.
What about Sun Razers & World Devastators? They have similar functions.
When you hear all this and imagen the threat which this one station caused, but also know that they builded three such station and the other two were also been found during the time of the Old Republic (or better the second Sith war if I am not mistaken).
Don't call it a super weapon. Revan was specifically upset at the fact that everyone kept thinking it was a weapon.
Good vid, keep it up!
Who is less likely to take off their helmet? Revan or Mando?
Lord Shaxx
Lord Buckethead, Prime Minister candidate of the UK
Great vid man really summed up the star forge and its history 👌
If you take away the dark side influence this would have been the ultimate weapon in Thrawn's hands.

Dude the Rakata are stupid
They could have just create more star forges with that star forge and with thoses Star forges create more star forges and with those star forges create more star forges to create more things to make more things that make things that also do some other stuff, sorry what was the question?
Well-thought-out plans and the Dark Side do not work well together.

Where and how they got them is not explained at first, but they just keep hinting at “impossible fleet size” and “it isn’t possible for what little of the empire was left to run away and come back in 20 years and be able to fight the entire New Republic not just with quality but quantity as well”
Honestly the star forge would have fixed a good chunk of the movie plot holes.
