- Hi my name is Zan and I am a PDR technician. I love doing dent repair and sharing it with you
In this glue pulling video I will explain how to do glue pulling on a roof rail.
This is a PDR beginner tutorial that will explain what glue pulling is and how to do it. Glue pulling is only one of many techniques that are on a need to know for dent repair.
PDR or paintless dent repair is a way to repair dent and hail damage on a car without painting.
Make sure you comment below. I want to know what glue do you use!

I'm from Philippines. I love watching all your videos
Thanks for watching! Greetings to Philippines
Well Zan, I think we both know what glue we are using here at Collision Glue Systems, lol. I will say that out of all of the "glue' videos out there all across the internet you have made the best comment out of all of them at minute 8:45-9:00. You were addressing the properties of the adhesives and urging techs to actually learn more about the adhesive. It was a pleasure meeting you finally at MTE Orlando 2022, I am hoping that we can "glue' together! lol
Pleasure meeting you too as well. Let's glue it! :)
Lol I always laugh when someone says PDR looks easy.
When I go to an account (usually a body shop) and the first thing they say is “Tommy, you make it look so easy”, I know I’m in for some ground beef, but I know I also get to double the price, because I have to put it back to the original dent.
There have been times when there is no saving it due to them not stopping when they were breaking paint and basically destroying the panel.
Great job Van!
Thanks. Yes it is funny especially after they try claiming its so easy.
your doing a great job on these videos man ! keep them coming please
Thank you! I will do my best
Awesome video Zan I use Cactus green and hawg glue thank you for sharing its a really big help .
Thanks for watching, glad I can help 👍
Great like it ❤
Thanks buddy will be checking out some more of your videos
Thank you!
Hvala za video druze!

Dent pulling works great job..
Yes it does
If you ever come to US to work , happy to give you work. Great videos
Thanks buddy
I use rexa glue and AutoTom glue witch is great in low temperature outside. Great tutorial!!!
Pogromcy Wgnieceń nice. I Never tried those glues before
Fantastic skill.
Thank you, much appreciated
I have just started buying tools & glue; When I asked about the glue strengths they replied:" the Black one is more sticky", & that is all they knew, so I have a road ahead of me.
Where are you from?
This guy really is awesome 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you, I just try my best
that was awesome
Thank you!
Thank you.
You are welcome
I see good things coming from you .
jpanyk thanks. Do you have a specific topic you want me to do a video on?
so let me get this straight: step 1 - learn how to pull dents professionally, step 2 - on a dark night walk around putting dents in peoples car with a special tool, step 3 - leave your card on the window explaining that you noticed all the dents in their car and can fix it cheap, step 4, fix the dents, collect the money. This seems like a fantastic idea! Thank you :P
This is a great plan😅 never run out of work 🤪

great glue, I want buy
It's sold by denttoolcompany.nl
Thank you for the great and helpful video's. I would like to know when you use a hand lifting tool and when do you use a hammer?
You are welcome. It comes down mainly to personal preference. I mainly use slide hammer and rarely hand lifting tool. I also mainly do hail damage
Hi i bought some pdr stuff, spent avout $300. Wheres a good place to start getting my tools,i need a light and stand too. I really love watching your work
Where to buy your tools from is based on where are you located? Thank you for watching :)
Hello Zan!
Super content! I ask what glue do you use (link)? I accidentally pushed a fresh painted panel with my hand in, so I need to glue pull. What do you say what ia the minimal time to be able to glue it? Thanks from Hungary!
Sorry to hear that. I can't say for sure how long does a freshly painted panel need in order to pull and tap it. The pull is not that much of a problem, but tapping down is as you will leave marks in pain. You can always sand and polish.
The glue I use you can find on denttoolcompany.nl
The best Like nothing happens.
Thank you!
Hey, ZAN. Great video brother.🏆
Just starting to learn about the PDR techniques and since I’m located in Europe *could you please share the link/company you’re buying the glue form?* Thank you in advance.
Hi Boyan. Thank you for watching.
denttoolcompany.nl is where I buy my glue from
How to remove dents on a repainted body surface, pls explain in next clip
Great idea for a video.
Bonjour quel capuchons utilisez vous sur vos Pecker ? Je vois un capuchons rouge sur le dessus du Pecker Ou puis je m’en procurer ? Vos vidéos sont géniales merci à vous
Normally I use the dead on dent tools tapdowns. Thank you for watching.
Hi Zan. I am a DIYer who only fixes hail damaged cars for myself and family and have repaired 6 cars over past few years but still consider myself a beginner. My problem is these cars usually have major hail damage on most panels and I can get large hail damage down to small size, say 10-15 mm size but can’t get from there to a perfect repair. I either end up with volcanoes or just smaller size damage that I can’t seem or to tap down. I’ve changed glues and tabs and slide hammers but i think it’s my technique, not tools that is the problem. I am a subscriber and have watched all your videos and you make it look so easy . Would you be able to do a video to show the technique to get from a large hail to small hail to no hail damage? Thanks for the videos .
Hi Craig. What panels are we talking about and do you only use glue and tabs or do you also have rods to push with?
@@vidicz hi Zan. I only use glue tabs for all hail dents as pushing dents looks like an ever harder skill to learn. Im trying to make the dents look as small as possible but would like to know if I can get them completely out just with glue tabs. I have always used a mini lifter but recently bought slide hammer to try to improve the result. My current project car has damage to all panels (roof/ bonnet/ doors / rails) and it was assessed as ‘light damage to all panels’ but it has quite severe damage hence to need to do some major pulling. As always, your advice is appreciated.
@@craigmathisen1542 rule of thumb is push what ever you can push and pull only where you can’t get your tool on from underneath. Glue pull is much harder and more time consuming. If the dents are big and sharp it would be really hard to glue pull on top panels.
Omg u literally hit it
Of course :)
An you tell me witch is good the B-Cup Knocker vs Knocker Tiki.
They are both good and I use them both. Depending on the location of the dent and tickness of the metal I decide which one I use.
You are an artist.
How can I find someone who can do this on my car and what's the coast of this.
The cost of PDR varies a lot! It’s best to find a local PDR company with good reputation and get a quote from them 👍
Do you think that an Amazon PDR dent pull kit (SuperPDR) is good enough for a starter kit for a beginner? I noticed that the tap downs is a hard plastic. I’m thinking about giving it a shot. The kit is just for glue pulling only, no rods included. Is there a better less expensive kit for beginners to start with?
Hi Mike. No definitely not worth your money. Check out my video where I test cheap tools
The kit is a glue pull kit only . No rods included
@@Mike-ku1hj still the tabs are like we used 20 years ago. The industry has come a long way and improvements have been made in glue pulling game
Hi zan, thanks for video, i have problem with glue pulling, i pull but dents wont come out. Even tabs are going to stretch, but the hail wont come out. Where is my mistake u think?
Hi Mohamad! There can be many factors from panel preparation, bad tabs, bad glue,... It would be best if I could see what you are using :)
Zan. What kind of glue were you using please ? Thank you
Hi Abraham. I use a black glue I buy from denttoolcompany.nl.
Hallo Zan, which manufacturer is the green glue from, or what exactly is it called?
Hi. I dont use the green glue. I use the black glue. If you are looking for green glue I think its called brasilian glue or something like that
Hi Zan, thanks for the video I found it helpful. Today I spent a few hours trying to remove dents from my Mercedes which has been hail damaged. I tried to use the techniques you used in this video and I found I was able to pull up large dents pretty easily however with small dents I found it hard to pull them up as I couldn’t find the centre of the dent and I can’t seem to get it perfectly level. Do you have any advice to help pull up the very shallow dents which almost impossible to find the centre point?
Hi. Well if they are shallow then move your light back and you will be able to see them better. Hope this helps
I was trying without any light at all. I've now ordered a light online when I get it I'll give it another try, thank you!
Hi Zan, when you tap down a dent that is raised (after glue pull) can you please explain your process to level it. Do I apply most force in the very center then gradually less force and i work my way to the boundary of the dent? Would love to know, thanks
I also like to know this too. I can get the dent almost perfect but then blending it to be perfectly level I have trouble with too.
@@tompongrac8952 if you are still trying to remove those hail dents, first is definitely to get a light, u can’t fix what u can’t see.
When dents are on top panels, hoods, roofs and trunks you have to CROSS CHECK which is just moving your light around the dent, not trying to fix it from one position.
At first it’s really hard to see where to precisely put your tab, I recommend taking a coin and placing it as center on the dent as possible and tracing a circle around it (make sure what ever u mark with doesn’t damage paint, dry erase marker is ok), then remove the coin and it’s much easier to get you tab in the right spot.
When you are knocking down SLOW DOWN, make light knocks and move your light.
Normally a nickel size dent glue pulled will take 20-30 taps (for me) to get proper flat.
Biggest problem I see when people try PDR is they push or knock to hard.
Hoe this helps, Good luck.
San has a video on KNOCKING DOWN that is excellent.
Trying to use all colours of glue. The glue won'tstick to the hood. What coukd be the issue?
There are many different factors. Maybe the panel is not clean, right temperature, waiting too long to pull, etc...
Hello I used the yellow glue and I can't get the glue off the tabs I let them soak in alcohol but it's not taking off the glue
Hi. What kind of glue is this?
great video .Did you come from slovenia?
Thank you. Yes sir I am from Slovenia. How about you?
@@vidicz I am from graz. 😉
@@dominikk3677 nice! I am in Ljubljana :)
No, his origins are from Hercegovina, but he lives in Slovenia and his real name is Žan Vidić (Jean Vidich). Vidić is Hercegovinian origin surname and I also had one Vidić neighbour.
@@vjekoslavcvetnic7500 You are right about my name but not about my surname. It is Vidic actually Vidic and I don’t have Hercegovian roots. But funny thing: every time I go to ex-yu everyone assume it is Vidić :)
what are the best glue I can use herein Arab country
Well what glue have you tried so far?
What type of glue would I need ? Is any hot glue acceptable
Not any hot glue will work. Well they will to a point. Each glue has its different characteristics and will work differently in different conditions. However you do need a PDR hot glue...there are some other non pdr hot glues that work occasionally but are rare
@@vidicz I’ve being trying with normal hot glue and it hasn’t worked now I know why any suggestions on a good glue ?
@@denisedx if you are from or closer to europe then black glue from denttoolscompany.nl is what I use. Best price/performance for me.
If you are closer to the states then I heard good stuff about many different glues: tab weld, hawg glue, cactus green, ...
@@vidicz it should be denttoolcompany.nl without the s 👍🏻😁
Hi my teacher. what is the Glue do you use?
I use a black glue from denttoolseurope.nl
hi Zan I like your movie if you don't mind I will use part of your movie in my videos?
Александр Капусткин thanks. Sure go ahead. I would be happy if you mentioned me 👍
@@vidicz Zan Vidic many thanks for your permission.... under the video will be a link to your video

Cold glue?
I use cold glue to start some larger dents but never used it on hail so far.
Hi. Link for glue?
I buy it from denttoolcompany.nl
A black car is a nightmare to see dents
Black color does show a lot of imperfections, but it’s also easier to see it to fix it
Why ask viewer to subscribe at the start? They don't know if it's worth it yet!!!
You are right. I made no sense at all :)
This is FAR harder than it looks. 25 years of body work experience and every dent I've tried looks worse than wholesale back lot junk work. lol. I thought I could do better :-)
Hehe Randy yes I agree it is much harder then it looks! Like anything else it takes practice and patience. I bet if you gave me a body work to do it would look worse then before if I did it :)
I only have 1 eye, should I not even try?
Why not? You can always try and see how it goes.
gorilla glue
I don't know that one
I also do this in pakistan if you have whatsapp number then i will send video to you i PDR
