You can see this in Jackson's interactions and speech, how he doesn't ever say Taiwan (and neither does Tzuyu) and only brief mentions of Hong Kong, but they really hammer in the words China a bunch, as well as using the Mandarin language more (even though his native tongue is Cantonese).

The very old guy Jo Young Nam is a very modern and immature guy for his age. He is a great artist, but he has been judged for his immature behavior many times. He is not a bad guy though. He lived in America when he was young, and he doesn't know much about Korean traditional things. That is why the younger man Lee Kyung Kyu did most of the guide. Lee Kyung Kyu was so happy to be with Jackson and Tzuyu. At the end of the show, he said the joy Jackson and Tzuyu gave him was so high that it was over the Great Wall. He was worried that Jackson and Tzuyu would have been bored so he tried to make it fun. And he was a bit shy to reveal his feeling.
