I wsh you guys would show an adaptive cruise including curves turns along with the video, so we could get another idea why we may want to purchase this car
I've test driven an LS 500 And I've test driven A G90 Now there's nothing wrong with the LS 500 But the Genesis car is way more fun to drive Just my opinion
Y’all need my super sensitive donk to test this car and all them other cars tho. My cakes will tell you which one has the best suspension and softest seats. My cheeks never lie!!!!!
Love the new G90. In this class, it is hard to define "value", but it does pack quite the punch. The interior is impeccable as well as impressive in features(sans Genesis refusing to adapt wireless AC/AA). The exterior does its thing well. The grille is certainly dominating, but looks meek in comparison to what BMW is doing these days. I would certainly put this over the LS500 and A8, and even over variants of the S-Class as that car just seems to be a sign at MB becoming lazier in their ICE vehicle development and even after having one as a loaner for a week when our 2017 S63 was in for service, I didn't see any redeeming factors on upgrading(in fact, the ergonomics are FAR worse in the W223 S-Class than my car). The BMW is just too much at once. Tall, slab-sided in its design with that awful front styling does not impart elegance in any manner, IMHO. It does, however, have a very advanced interior, especially top trims(dare I say finally outclassed...an S-Class?). Plus its i7 variant is more complete and more accepting than the bulbous and compromising EQS. Still, I'd take the Genesis if I had to purchase right now. It has most required features of the class, loaded for $3-10K less than the base Germans. It's rear seat may not be as commodious as an S-Class, nor have the authoritative power of the MB/BMW V8s(and no electrification yet), BUT it has respectable performance for most buyers.
How is MB being lazy with their ICE vehicle development when they've been making the best car in the class for years now? What more do you think they need to do that they already haven't?
@@MercOne Allow me to rephrase. From a W220 to 221 to 222, there was a clear and profound elevation in design, technology, and overall presence. The W223 is the first S-Class that I have serious disappointment with. The design is far too cautious and derivative of the 222.(yes, that car was a high bar for sure, but this is the same company that leaped from the 126 to the 140). I'm most letdown by the interior. Yes, it is made of good quality, but the controls are answering a question that nobody asked(especially an MB owner). Finally, $120K for moderately-equipped I-6 S500 is a dear sum for what you get.
@@hellkitty1014 I don't hear anything about laziness though. You just don't like they direction they took. I get that because some of the details are just like you said, an answer to a question no one asked. The seat controls that are stationary now in particular is annoying. I don't see how the design of the car (exterior) is derivative of the W222. The W223 is far smoother and less fussy without all the lines that the W222 had. From W220 to W221 they had to change dramatically because the W220 while pretty, was junk. A flimsy, unreliable car if there ever was one. W126 to W140, uh you're talking about over 10 years between generations, what did you expect? The W126 was developed in the 70's. If you're going to look at a Mercedes for just features for dollar then you're never going to see them as a good buy. That has never been their thing. Driving them back to back, the W223 beats the W222 in refinement easily and the tech on board is far more advanced. I don't see what else they could have done with the car technically. The days of those type of leaps for one generation to the next are coming to close with ICE. They're just refining the package now more than type of innovation that came from keeping a car on the market for 10 years vs the usual 7 now.
@@MercOne yeah...nobody should be mistaking a 223 for a 222 and that is exactly what happens to those that are not in intimate knowledge of these vehicles. While my S63 is going to ride a notch firmer than a W223 obviously, the car that I had a for a week didn't represent a quantum leap in metrics, and as I mentioned, managed to get worse in some regard(seat controls, climate moved to the screen, the portrait orientation of the screen, etc). I've also driven the Genesis and it seems to give up very little to a S500, with the most possible exception being that its air suspension is two-chamber and the S500 is three, which means it won't ride quite as cushy as the Benz(few cars do this side of a Roller or Flying Spur).
@@hellkitty1014 If they don't know cars than I don't see why it would matter. I don't see how that's a true comparison, a S63 vs a S500. I don't see what "metrics" a S500 would improve over a S63. I agree about seat controls, it's a Benz hallmark and should have never been changed. I prefer the orientation of the screen, if you're going to go that route. Benz doesn't do to well when their screens are at the top of the dash. The climate controls don't go away, they're always present so at least you don't have to search for them like on some other cars. The S500 both rides and handles better, is faster and gets better fuel economy. I've been waiting to see if any press outlets would put the G90 over the S, none has yet. It's still clearly a better car. How much so is debatable for sure.
This car is amazing in almost every aspect! I recently surprised my wife with the 2024 E Supercharged in Makalu Gray with the all white interior. This is our 5th Genesis vehicle and her 2nd G90, which is a 2021 5.0. In silver with the taupe interior. My wife says the 2024 is only missing the 5.0 8 cylinder. If she wants more acceleration, she just jumps in her 2022 C8 Corvette LT2 Z51. Remember, a happy wife is a blessing!😇
That’s a beautiful car. My biggest disappointment for such a huge vehicle, that one may take on long road trips with friends, is that the trunk is smaller than my Dodge Challenger’s!
I’m a G90 owner and the dealership service departments are so bad it seems like parody. It’s as if I bought steak at McDonald’s or gucci at Walmart. Every time I drive home after finally being serviced I feel like I have a fkn Hyundai
The doors... how can you talk about the G90 and not spend most of the time talking about the doors!?!?! Once you get used to pressing the button on the G90 (or stepping on the brake to close the drivers door) you can never go back to a normal car. All cars need these power doors. If a "luxury" car does not have these doors it should not be called it a luxury car. The 2 things I would change are 1) needs wireless Car Play 2) ability to turn off the fuel saving auto start/stop feature permanently.
Meh, I prefer the 2020-2022 G90. The exterior is weird borderline ugly, particularly the tail lights like they tried too hard. Steering wheel is downright fugly, though the interior materials and build quality are on point. Still, I think I would take the LS 500 over this.
I have an 2017 S63, '91 SEL 560 Classic, and a '97 S500. I would certainly buy this over the current German offerings, which have certainly lost their way.
This segment just lease cars. They know how unreliable they are. As a mechanic who works on these vehicles a lot of owners are slowly moving away and getting a Genesis. Just because within the 2-4yrs there are zero issues.
Gotta love the angle about not seeing a point to a V8 when the car you're testing doesn't offer one. Even the I6 S500 is faster than this car and gets better fuel economy to boot. Of course the S580 is faster and it's not about noise, it's about feel and better performance. Same thing with the 740i vs the 760i. You pay more for an S-Class due to the detail differences and greater engineering that this test points out. That said, there is nothing here to not recommend this car other than Genesis' dealer situation. Lots of Genesis owners are complaining about Hyundai dealership service. Such a great lineup of cars need more than the 5 stand alone dealers they have in the U.S. so far. Warranty coverage is only as good as the dealerships that honors it.
How many dealerships did Mercedes Benz and BMW Have when they were 8 years old I'd like one of the people criticizing Genesis on this to answer that question Genesis is only 8 years old as a company I think what they have done in 8 years is incredible So my original question stands how many dealerships did Mercedes Benz and BMW Have when they were only 8 years old It takes time to build a network of dealership The car company isn't even 10 years old But I think in 8 years they built some incredible cars
The G90 will kill the s-Class at price of usd72k max. Their production wont cover customers demands, roads will be full of Genesis Brand, and in 10yrs, good byes toyota, lexus, Audi bmw. Just mercedes and genesis will be market leaders. I own GV80 2022, bought it new, at usd87k, coz its an suv, it should be expensive than g90, so g90 needs to be at72 and see what happens.
Genesis gives Benz a run for their money. I loved Hyundai and Genesis so far because they gave you quality and more features than competitors…so far. But now 3.8 V6 flagship sedan costing 100k ! they lost the value proposition. I guess genesis should continue producing these super quality cars - but keep the prices below Lexus - ( obviously below the overpriced Germans ) to capture the market and be the leader. I owned 4 Hyundais and one Genesis .
It’s very luxury I love the glass shifter
This sedan is the most beautiful luxury sedan at the moment for 2023. Only the BMW interior is superior.
One love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
I love the G90. This is the coolest flagship sedan made from Genesis. Keep up the good work..
Agreed I love this brand
Another spectacular review of the Genesis. Good job
I wsh you guys would show an adaptive cruise including curves turns along with the video, so we could get another idea why we may want to purchase this car
That would be cool, maybe like a driver assistant feature test
Nice review keep up the good work fellas
I love it. This is make one of the most epic sedans.

Hi Mason And Hi Drew How Are You You Make Great Video Can You Make A Review On The 2023 GENESIS ELECTRIFIED GV70 SUV Have A Nice Day
Awesome video of the luxurious Genesis G90!!! You guys are the best!!!
Thanks!
Good work 👏
#3 manufacturer in the World, nuff said.
Excellent review and sorry I’m late!😸
Good one 👍👍
Nice video.

S class has a similarly small suzed trunk courtesy the batteries and electronics
Must not cost as much to move a flagship. The destination charge is less than a Subaru.
5.1s isn't it what the s300 does too? But anyways its good to see some competition.
Great 👍
G90😊😊😊
At 45,000 its a good deal 🎉.

If I sue Google for 4M? I will get one guys.
12v is for everybody who wants fast charging and does not want the car to try to get your data via the cable.
Huh huh huh he sed Fellatio White.

Best
I’m too scared of this car
worry about volvo instead troll.
Yeah it's too fancy for me. I'd stick with a Camry
Better than jaguar and lexus.

S class is king but the new 7 series is just so hideous that I would pick this over that
