I have a much different perspective. My lovely wife and I live within the financial worth of the top 2%. We are so grateful that our early years of sacrifice has paid off. No silver spoon here. Its still unbelievable. Especially being I was homeless at the age of 17 and at joined the Marines at 18. So my wife and I have been fortunate to be able to purchase many expensive luxury cars. Even with raising 7 kids. BMW Alpina B8 (still driving), Mercedes Maybach 600 (sold for a 80k devaluation), to name a few. I shifted into investing into collecting exotics, corvettes, and muscle cars as a hobby. I actually bought my wife (after much research) a new 2021 Genesis 5.0, In silver with the taupe interior. It was an everyday driver (not wrapped up on getting dings/dents). Unfortunately, a few months ago, while traveling back to NY from our snow bird residence on I-95 NB, we hit a tremendous rain fall that dumped out of nowhere. She hydroplaned in less than 15 seconds. She did a few 360s at 60 mph and totaled the car into a tree. No other cars were involved, thank God. The great news is my wife and youngest son walked away without a scratch, bruise, or pain! I was thoughly impressed with the Genesis brand and a big fan. So I wasted no time, and I surprised her with this 2024 E Supercharged in Makalu Gray with the all white interior. I gave it to her on my birthday! Yes, no typo. This is also our 4th Genesis purchase, as we got a G80 and G70 for our two youngest sons. They work for us, and they are perks! Great everyday vehicles with a great warranty 10yrs/100k miles. Its a cost savings. Do you know what the service cost on the Maybach was! I know how to make money, and spend my money wisely. Although the new 24 G90 is a V6 E Supercharged (No V8), my wife says the 2024 is quick enough for her but missing the feel of the 5.0 8 cylinder. If she wants more acceleration, she just jumps in her 2022 C8 Corvette LT2 Z51. 0-60 2.9 seconds. I am an exotic guy myself, but I must admit Chevrolet took the Corvette from an American Sports car into an exotic class for "a lot less money". Looking forward to taking delivery of the 2024 C8 Z06 I ordered. She does have access to our exotics, which we drive and even track some of the collection! Remember, a happy wife makes for a happy life!😊 I must admit that the 2024 G90 ride, comfort, and tech is amazing!!! Not to short of the Aplina! Thw badge is the biggest difference. If you don’t own them you wouldn't know. I am no longer drinking the S Class and 7 Series koolaid. My wife actually enjoys the Genesis 2024 G90 then the S Class. She tells me it gets alot of head turns. I tell her don't kid yourself its you they are checking out. Yes, she is still a perfect 10! Italy and hotter the Ferrari SF90. She is willing to jump into it snytime and one of my top 3 favorite! I have spent well over seven digits to formulate my opinion.
You crushed this G90 review. I know it’s old now, but I appreciate your efficient review hitting the key points. Very timely. Great info. New sub here.
Of course I would. I have a 2022 Genesis GV80 Prestige Signature 1of 600 (Melbourne Grey). Fine suv. I can only imagine how nice the 2023 Genesis G90 is. Good video.
Love the G90 and this new one is very compelling, but the service experience needs to catch up. Lease offers need to get better to compete at this higher price point.
too bad they aren't making stand alone dealership fast enough. here in korea, genesis dealers are top notch. the main showroom in gangnam is the best showroom i've ever seen, designed by OMA. i guess it all comes down to $.
I think they started some dealerships here in the US as time goes on I think they’ll get better and better with that whole part of the business. Don’t forget they're still a very young brand.
@@omardrives definitely young, but no one is going to care about how young the brand is if the price tag is commanding $100k+. At $72k it was a bargain and you could overlook the service and dealership experience, but now, this price tag competes with every major full size sedan. I was quoted $1,800 on a lease. Wild.
Striking inside and out. In that color combination it is beautiful. Still, wait a few years and get it for 30% of new. Just not worth that much. A Tahoe or Yukon will be worth more than this in same number of years. The wheels are gorgeous. The steering wheel just goofy for just why? And the engine? A V6? seriously? They want to go after Mercedes and BMW with a V6? Still material inside really nice. Probably should be price $50,000 to $60.000 max.
@@omardrives Mercedes and BMW both have usually offered V6 or straight six models, in addition to V8. Even today, Mercedes and BMW both still offer V8s. I am not even talking AMG or M class. Just normal trim with V8s. Genesis is not in same class as Germans from a powertrain perspective. And it is worlds away from Lexus from quality and dealer experience aspects. If you ever become a Lexus customer and experience their customer service and dealers, you may never go back to anything else, of-course Lexus models have great resale and reliability. Genesis needs to provide more powertrain options in this class, a V8, and a dealer experience that is slimey greasy Hyundai.
It's nice to see a company rip off MB, Audi, BMW, Aston Martin, Bentley, RR, Maybach, Volvo etc etc and getting away with it while receiving praise from YT "car journalist"... It sure is a ding ding world, where everything is PC! The amount of a$$ kissing is limitless! It clearly shows that this car is made for pissing-pants Gen Z where it's all about high tech, buttons and gadgets, but when it comes to quality and refinement, i.e those hidious cheap looking control units in the back and center dashboard, cheap leather quality, well that's where true car owners of high end luxury cars know what to look for and where! You don't buy this car when you're rich, you buy this car when you want to play wanna-be rich!
It’s a nice car no doubt, the design is just forgetful in my honest opinion. The massive turn signal strips along the fenders look goofy - I don’t know what’s going on at HMG but their latest designs are way too _wild_ for a lack of better words. Sometimes less is more. South Korea did *_not_* get this memo!
Would you buy the new Genesis G90 over the competition? Let me know!
I would buy this car out of all the luxury sedans
absolutely! I love this Genesis. And the intro😄

Genesis G90 all the way
One of the most criminally underrated car reviewers!
Here before you explode in popularity
Really appreciate that a lot! Thanks for watching and supporting
Genesis G90 is a big threat to S class sales in......South Korea
I believe it for sure 👍
You crushed this G90 review. I know it’s old now, but I appreciate your efficient review hitting the key points. Very timely. Great info. New sub here.
Dude this thing is outstanding! These guys are no longer messing around
Genesis have never just messed around, They’ve been killing, out the gate!
I'm in love with genisis cuz of your content!
appreciate that a lot! Thank you for watching and your support!

Hey Omar, are you going to do a Car horn and indicator compilation at the end of the year? Beautiful car by the way!
That's the plan! Let's see if I have time to put it together!
@@omardrives I’m excited for it!
Great review! 👍
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Great review Omar. Looking forward to your review of the new 7Series. Want to know your take on which luxury barge is tops after reviewing that one…
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching. Will be doing the new 7 soon 👍
Interior feels more luxurious than Germans car. But like Maybach and rolls Royce.
It's definitely really really nice
I saw that car in person it looks beautiful 👌🏼 unique It looks way better then the Sclas
Yea it definitely looks great in person!
Break pedal also closes the driver door.
Best of the best
Yup yup 👍

Genesis is still pretty young and they def need to work on the whole buying experience. I think they've started doing some standalone dealerships

My 2018 was low 60s with the v6.
The only luxury car that's an actual luxury car. Everyone else makes sports cars with leather seats.
Nah. The S just beat it quite easily in a C&D comparison. It’s a really nice car though having seen it up close now.
I agree - it's really impressive when you see it in person

I would buy a Hyundai because they consistently push to become the best while other car makers don't really try anymore
Similar electrification to the new Vet.
A $90,000 - $100,000 luxury flagship vehicle *still* without a standalone luxury dealership network in 2022. 😆No Thanks!
What do you mean?
@@jonzo22 He means they're selling these from a Hyundai dealership in most cases. They only have a handful of stand alone dealerships right now.
That is the their biggest and only real problem at this point. They have a knockout lineup.
