Piano tiles is one of those games you loved as a kid. But over the years it just became a cash grab littered with ads. I liked the old versions better
It always has been a cash grab the only thing that changed was people got more aware of it

Just some tons of actually annoying ads each click. And yeah made the game dying and almost disappearing to the sight of community.

People used that for their advantage, and made the copies, because cheetah games couldn't come back to the play store

honestly, the last one had loads of potential. You can tell the creator does know about actual rhythm games, and has some love for them. It's not a game made to grab cash, either. Genuinely it could've even surpassed the original piano tiles if they hired someone to redo the UI and fix all the broken functions in the game. So much potential just wasted there

Try to turn off your wifi or any data connection because it's an offline game so you don't get ads :)
I've seen some apps that are riddled with ads and even play ads if you turn off your connection while its running, and when I went through the data it had ads built in

Usually I turn off my wifi to stop the ads back when I was playing piano tiles. It worked like a charm.
However there are some games out there that has ads even though net is turned off. Never knew why, but one day while I was deleting stuff in my files, I found some ad videos in the files of that game. Was really tempted to delete them but I didn't because I got bored and uninstalled the game weeks later.

Dream Piano by Eyugame is surprisingly good once you unlock the harder songs, but they have fake multiplayer lol. The good endless modes on hard songs make it alright tho

Try U-Mod, is basically the actual piano tiles 2 (the one on E tier) but with no energy, no ads, and a hella lot of songs. Afaik it's only playable on Android though, since it's a mod.

I remember when the original Piano Tiles wasn’t filled with soooo many ads with every thing you tap. I remember when the design of the app was also simpler and less cluttered. I still have it but refuse to delete it because I got super far.

I’d probably say my favorite is the Piano Tiles 2 (the first one reviewed)
I enjoy the selection of songs to choose, though having to play the song over and over again until you level up or get enough points isn’t fun. It sometimes finishes and gives you points and levels up, or just endless for more score. It doesn’t have the “wild copyrighted music” everywhere and the scroll speed does get faster and it gets more notes to click on as you unlock more songs. Airplane mode or turning off internet helps with the ads. You get challenges to go on a leaderboard and win some prizes, and the songs you unlock can be endless or just finished until 3 stars and crowns. It’s not like the original but i guess i like it.

Watching you play the Piano Tiles Kpop edition made me remember that some Kpop groups do have their own rythme game design/developed by their company alongside with game company around their universe/with the group's song in it. I think you should take a look at some of these and maybe do a video about it, you may be surprised by them !
I personally didn't experience the original piano tiles, but I have gone through quite a lot with the Piano tiles 2 from Cheetah. Back in the days, the app really wasn't crowded with ads, those were only volunteer, if you wanted to buy energy or some money in the game for harder songs. There were many seasonal challenges and there also were what I would call "championships" to compete with your friends from people, so yeah 😅

You should try melobeat. Its really good, you import an mp3 and it automatically maps it for you, key sounded and judgement line doesnt move. Bunch of customisability

Have you tried piano tiles umod? The community came together to make hundreds of custom charts and it uses mechanics from the original that were only used rarely
I once got a piano tiles game that was just like the original but it played cash register noises...that was an experience.
That last one, Piano Tail, honestly deserves its S-Tier. All the songs are user-submitted so the quality is varying and/but there’s a LOT of soundtracks on there, which are sorted by media/names/categories etc, obviously all the stuff you can customize, if you just wanna listen to something you can activate the bot, if the song allows you can choose to deactivate certain instruments when playing, choose your tempo- literally everything is choosable! Sure the menu’s kinda janky, but otherwise It’s great, and I even found some pretty amazing piano covers on there to listen to~

Cheetah Mobile ruined their games. Remember Dancing Line? A really cool rhythm game ruined by the shitty paywall for almost everything that were once free. Sad to see most mobile games going down this path - even the ones we all know and love.
I loved that game so much but it's gone now... last update was around March last year 🥲

I was an avid player of Piano Tail as a 13 year old I gotta say it kept me entertained for a long time in all honesty there were songs for anime and other popular media as well it was definitely a part of my childhood

The last is so good and nostalgic. I remember play it some years ago, I even asked for fixing some problem so it can be more fun, like add prise (perfect, good, bad, etc) every tap. I'm glad many people recognize this app. But now, when I have enough memory, I can't find it because there are so many piano tiles rip-off 😢

The real piano tile 1 and 2 (and all cheetah games) has been removed from Playstore For violating a law concerning dangerous ads in wich they found malware. Since then, Many awful copy got released and the cleanest one i found is : Dream piano
the same publisher of Piano tiles also have some other game i play like Rolling Sky. it's such a shame that they were banned but it's deserving at the same time. commiting ad fraud could only make you so much revenue.

The last one, Piano Tail, just takes midis from the internet and puts them in their app. I would know... They took pretty much all of my covers without permission. The community is also not very friendly.
You should try playing Phigros! It's an even more fun, challenging, and diverse app like piano tiles that I'm sure you'll love! I've been playing it for over a year now and I don't regret it! :D

I remember the piano tiles I used to play-
It had literally no ads at all, was very simple. Had a lot of modes, and several of them I could actually play and have fun because I sucked at rhythm games (still do)-
It had Undertale songs and anime stuff, my little pony, I even was able to customize what songs I was able to play in endless mode since I didn't like all of them. And it actually sounded like a real piano so I once tricked my friends I had a piano on a discord call.
I wish there was still something like that. Idk if it was actually the original or not (because I think it is still on the app store but my phone says it's not compatible anymore when I last checked on it), but I still had fun. If anyone ever sees it please let me know bc I loved that version
