Still valid 2 years later ... I have the plastic tool but no matter how much I squeezed with pliers I could not get it under the spring. Took a clamp and cut it to size as you demonstrated and with a little persuasion from pliers, it went right under. Thanks for the tip!
thanks for the the video dude. i don't have the connector tools to remove my a/c lines, this helps
Amazing tip! Could never figure it out without your video!
Can't thank you enough for the upload! Would have been a huge help hours ago but worked a treat and saved me a trip to the auto parts store...again.
You’re a freaking G! thank you bro. Did a ton of searching and this is it!
You rock! I had the proper tool, which seemed to just press against the spring - I couldn't go up size or down size. The hose clamp piece worked almost immediately.
Thanks for posting such a great, simple solution to removing spring lock connections like these! Saved me some time and money when I had to deal with a couple of those on one of my car's A/C systems.
Dude! You're my hero!
Thank you sir! It works. Just the advice I needed to get that hose off.
I LOVE this kind of stuff!!! Good job.
best video, worked like a charm
Thank you so much for this idea. We had tried ever type ac tool without sucess on 2002 dodge ram until i tried the hose clamp.
Thank you for a new idea. I have a seized snap on connector and this is method looks like it will work.
Brilliance thanks my dude i got the multi color plastic tools but they kinda suck! That looks way more efficient
This is simply outstanding. I'm having no luck at the firewall w a 3/4 fitting with the plastic tool. I'm going to try this method out and vice grip that band in place. This method here looks like it will work.
One line (Accumulator) was seized and the spring was offset so, even with a clamp and a pry bar it wouldn't come off. All the other lines were cake but, this one - not so much. Wound up cutting the Accumulator line as that was being R&R'd during system gut and overhaul. Had to use a pry bar on the back of the OEM tool while rotating the line - was still not releasing due to the spring being offset to one side. I wound up using small wedge shims and finally got it to release on that one side that was hanging it up.
Thanks. Will try it tomrrow. I was going to buy the tool
Damn thanks for the badass car hack bro.
Holy Crap!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope this video is monetized bro!!!
Yes..it realy worked for me !
El mejor video que he visto
Thanks for the video
Thank you! Gonna give this a try - need to disconnect these oil lines and my 1st improvised tool did not do it, but this is doable.
That’s the air conditioning lines. You need to drain the system first.
@@MoneyisanIllusion Yep...I have same type of lines out of my oil pump for oil cooler lines. All drained already, but releasing the lines is a bear.
Wow- great tip!! 😊
Very useful video. Tq bro.
Genius 👍 thank you
Good job sir 🇮🇳☺️👍
that works better than the "tool" I bought!
Nice to here!! Thanks
Nice trick.

oh and if you find the "new tool" slipping away from the flange...zip tie to keep in place boom!
My Low pressure line is stuck, ive tried it all... i also have the cupler took but still wont budge.
Cool!
Thanks Love u
You are the best!!!
Ac lines are a pain in the butt to get off I try almost everything to get it off but it just won’t come loose
Do you just push it back on to reinstall it. Will the spring automatically go back in place?
Yes if the fitting is clean, without debri, it will reseal the same way as you removed it. Inspect it prior to reinstall. If it’s dirty spray it with brake cleaner and let it dry out completely before reinstalling it. Like comment subscribe. Thank you!
I'm sorry I need to ask this... but I assume you have to drain the system first? Have a video on that?
I do not have a video on that. I picked up this Jeep from a mechanics shop and he had it drained like a year before I got it. It was sitting behind the shop the whole time.
Fukkkkkkkkkin’ A !!!
Dude, I owe you 1 hand job.
Thanks!! Handis all round
