I am so sorry Kyle for any sorrow you are experiencing. You have many who will hold you in their thoughts. The cabin is so homey and inviting and I wish you both all the best.
My late husband and I built our own octagon house in FLorida. Watching you two do this brought back such fond memories. I understand the magnitude of the labor this costs! Congratulations and best wishes!
You always take me down memory lane Kyle,,,, back in the 1950s my parents bought a smallholding.. Out in the country With no running water or electricity.. We. Kyle, thanks for having the courage to live your dream and the generosity to share it with us. And, thank you for sharing the sound of your footsteps on the forest floor. I miss that sound more than you can know.
It's been a while without these mindblowing scenic shots and your iconic voice! Had to deal with . a lot in the last couple of months...but suddenly this vlog was a breeze of peace on a rainy night. Loads of warmth from Kolkata, India.
I really appreciate that you show all the trials & tribulations of your cabin build. I feel with some other cabin build videos that I've seen where everything goes perfectly & in record time, it can appear overwhelming & unattainable for inexperienced people who dream of cabin life. I love how honest & realistic your videos are, all in good time!
Congratulations Kyle and Ally on your move in and getting so much work accomplished together! :) Another wonderful vlog displaying your great narrative skills!
You have both accomplished so much on your journey together and it's such a joy to watch your videos (both you and Ally's). I also hope that whatever is happening behind the scenes (that you mentioned) won't stop you because there is so much more good things ahead for you both; I can see it! So keep the faith, Kyle...and keep on trucking!
Kyle, I grew up in Pittsfield and moved to central mass when I was 6 years old. Your videos take me back to my childhood in the Berkshires ! Love when you show all the old stone walls through out your videos! They are such a unique part of the New England landscape. Keep up the great work!!!
Grew up driving around Westchester Co. & LI seeing them as a kid. My Pop pop called them Indian Walls. Now I’m in PA & NW NJ. See them hiking all the time in the woods 🍁
Omgosh, as a writer myself I have to tell you that was incredible what you did for your friend Jon! No one ever did anything quite like that for me. Wow!
Great job with the hunting part. I really enjoyed that. I suffered what I jokingly described to my friends and family as a "life destruction" a few years ago... You know... ... Everything alive is always changing. Constantly. nothing can be stationary. People, emotions, health, thoughts, moods, outlooks, motivations, etc.. We should accept the impermanence. And WHILE things are fleeting, celebrate and appreciate them. Ernest Hemingway wrote something like: "the world breaks everyone - and later, some people are stronger at the broken places".. When we receive blows of fate, there are two common stances. One is to curse our luck, blame others, be grumpy, be resentful. The other is to accept fate, take steps to improve things, mend things, and keep moving forward. Moving forward also includes accepting that there are more ups and downs coming and being willing to participate in them actively and as the person you want to be. During a tragedy, and after, a very important question is: "What will we do with what we have left??"
My break from the world comes on each release of a new Trout & Coffee video. It’s my one time each week I look forward to! Thank you for what you do! Gotta say I’m really looking forward to you next chapter in life and anxiously await the announcement of the date!
I miss my Isuzu Trooper II, so much. My most favorite vehicle in my transportation history. I did so much, moved so many people, spent so much time in the woods, pulled my favorite jon boat, and home built camper with that truck. 5 clutches, 3 water pumps, 4 thermostats, 2 Fan Belts, I distributor cap, 3 spark plug wires sets, multiple spark plugs, points and condensers. Brakes, Tires, and lots and lots of adventures. Miss it.
Your storytelling is mythic and the visual and narrative quality so excellent that week after week I am swept up in the magic. Whatever you are facing, whatever challenges, please know your tribe of loving trouters is with you, lending you hands and hearts.
We lived in the country for over 20 years. A LOT of our time was spent dealing with storms, downed trees (potejtial firewood!) clean up, deer jumping the fence into the garden etc. It was always something! But the seasonal changes were exhilarating!
Hi Kyle. I have been following you and Ally for close to 2 years now. Your stories and words always encourage me and make me think. I am 46 years old, and I’m going after some thing that truly excites me and scares me at the same time. After seeing my father recover from multiple brain surgery several years ago, I decided to go after something I’ve always thought about doing - entering a bodybuilding competition. I have been working towards this goal for 3 years now. Every morning I go into my basement on my treadmill and put you on my TV. I genuinely look forward to watching you and hearing your stories. I am finally competing this June and recently ordered some items from your website to bring with me as comfort and good luck. You have liters been with me on my transforming journey. That being said, my family and I are also taking a trip to southwest Maine this July. After watching all of your videos I was wondering if you could recommend a place we should go to. I know you’re in the Berkshires but I would love to experience just a small taste of what you are always showing us. You and Ally truly are inspiring and because of what I seen you produce I want to one day move up there and enjoy all the beauty it has to offer. Thank you for being true to your love and craft and inspiring me. Your grateful and inspired follower - Jen
Although I watched every single video already. I still often have this channel playing in the background on my Philips Ambilight flatscreen when doing stuff indoors... It's therapeutic for me... 👍🏽
You say what I feel about nature in this beautiful world we live in. I literally scribbled on a notepad last year that I wanted to name our new piece of land Des Collines and I always call funny looking trees, Dr. Seuss trees 🌲 your stories are very inspirational and have made me think of putting together my photos and videos I’ve been taking over the years. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life and I hope your family is doing well. Talk Soon…
Beautifully narrated, gorgeous scenery,i so enjoyed this video and listening to your calming and soothing voice. Beautifully done. God bless u all stay safe.
Kyle, your are so talented, but talent without hard work is wasted. Thank you for your hard work. And thank you for taking time to build up the people you meet along the way.
Buy a rubber snake or two in the toy section of a store, and set it up (may have to nail it down) in areas where barn swallows try to build their nests. This will keep them away permanently!!
I absolutely love all of your videos Kyle. Just the fact that you have so much nature involved in your vlogs, is what makes it so enjoyable to watch, and also just how down to earth that you really are. Tbh Kyle, I sincerely mean this as a compliment to you when I say this, and that is; that you remind me of a brother that I never had or, have never met considering my Mother once had a miscarriage, so I don't know if she would have had a boy, or a girl that is probably in Heaven right now. Anyway that's just how I feel about you by how you are and that makes me happy 😊
‘Cause even when it’s hard to understand how and why, you can just listen and breath & the world will keep turning’ These videos truly touch my soul, thank you both so much for sharing 💚 🙏🏼🌻✨
Another Fantastic piece of work. Trials and tribulations are part of life. If you ever need a break from your socials take it, because you will come back stronger than ever..!!!

I know the excitement! I have a tiny home and was without water at all for a couple of months. When I did get running water and water heater it was like a total new experience! Then when I got electricity...WOW! Gramma Candy
I just love the filming and visual representation of what you do. Allie and you both have a different presentation, but I love your videos. Well done. It makes me wish I was young again.😊
I live in the north west, but I’ve never seen red trilliums like that before we have white and purple ones here ❤ I’d love to see those red ones in person some day!❤
Been here with you for years now. Incredible work, as always. God favors you, my boy. Praying for whatever it is that is hitting you guys behind the scenes. May you have the strength to endure whatever it is you are facing. In Jesus name. 🙏🏽
I don't know how you have not hunted yet since you live in a pristine habitat. You really are missing out on a whole other connection to the land that you so love. Hunting and harvesting pure organic meat is the most enjoyable experience. You know how your food was handled. I live in California where the laws are not so favorable to hunters. You have a greater opportunity than us less fortunate. That being said you nailed it on the head as far as the experience you get from hunting 'wild land'. You will feel at peace eating something from the land that you harvested than from the grocery store. Trust me.
Another great video, your words are wise beyond your years. Keeping taking time to listen the to the beautiful woods and world around you. Thanks for sharing.
Kyle, just wanted to say You look so much more handsome with short hair and clean shaven. You look healthy and great! Another beautiful episode, keep making beautiful things youre an inspiration to so many.
Its absolutely Gorgeous 😍! You did it all by trial & error. You've got True Grit! I hope you checked all your gas line joins for leaks by spraying a light dishwashing solution & watching for bubbles??! Hope you've installed smoke alarms & co2 alarms? Its a perfect build. ( Your water looks clean, but test it for heavy metals if there is any industrial area upstream. )Are you using a Berkeley water filter ? Your such a peaceful couple. Thankyou ❤
I want to thank you for sharing what most of us hunters are about. Most people don't understand it, in this day and age. Which is ironic when you think about it, it's what people have done for all of time to survive. I'm waiting for you to start hunting, pickup a shotgun and pursue one of the coolest game birds New England has to offer. The ruffed grouse, the king!
Life has been a challenge for most of us these past couple years. Keep your head up, the wind at your back, and allow things to just transpire. Let it be! God Bless, hope you all have wonderful harvest in the garden.
Enjoy watching your videos. I always have a hard time with the killing of another sentient being that wants to live especially when we dont need to. Once you are truly connected with nature and animals you will never hunt or hurt them again. 🙏🏻 it took me 50 years to realize it. It changes everything. Then you are truly connected ❤
