Yes same here....can someone please explain to me wtf does a dj actually do..?? I assumed he remixed but I sew its exactly the same...seems like all they do is take credit for good unknown artists
I can't find this anywhere apart from here and on Oakeys Oslo CD. This is a masterpiece in my humble opinion. I have been playing this for years on the GU CD. Magnificent. Thanks for posting.
I bought the CD of this EP at least 20 years ago after I heard this track on Oakenfold's Oslo CD. Today I was trying to RIP a copy of it to my computer and no database anywhere I can find shows that it even exists. It must be pretty rare.
My best friend had this song on a cassette tape, he edited so horribly, that I could only salvage some parts of the song... for years I tried to make it sound somewhat listenable... but I was just never really able to... I had no idea who the artist was and no one I knew could tell me either... it wasn't until today ... and just by chance .... that I stumbled on to this.... I sounds so beautiful .... Thank you
I've got such a similar story to tell... Only I heard it on a random radio station once, and I stopped the car to listen to it and if someone mentioned the artist and such... what a track man...needs a remix.
Jamie Myerson this tune was a huge part of my youth. i was a UK Raver since 1988 and then became a Junglist in 1991. this was Groundbreaking, thanks for producing perfection.
Thank you so much, that means a lot! In 88 I was still in the depths of Depeche, The Cure, New Order, etc. but when 808 State came around, that somehow led me to early breaks/hardcore, and eventually drum & bass. An amazing time!
Brother, this was the first record I ever bought, so thanks for helping send me down a road of good times and fun music. This song and Away, along with the stuff you did with Ovum was pretty formative for me. Pretty stoked to hear this tune again on good headphones lol. BOOKMARKED!
+Marc Mirenzi Not sure the Vinyl is findable anymore though...it was on a Marble gray/white vinyl. Only person I know that had it on Discogs bought my old copy, and I believe he sold it pretty quickly.
i maybe still got a copy of it on white vinyl.. but its been in my mum's attic for twenty years and is probably warped to f.... live on the other side of the planet so cant easily check - no matter - listening now and LOVING it.
@zr0hero83 Sm:)le was the label they also sold a Compilation CD this track was on called New Electronic Moods in '97 17 tracks of Kraft Werkian/Trance/DnB bliss ness this was track #7
@zr0hero83 What was the sm:)e CD? I only saw it once. A friend had it when I was 16 driving down a dark road. 5 of us smoking a blunt and this song came on and could never get it out of my head. I could never find Sm:)e anywhere. I search "smiles" because that was all I could remember, after all I am 27 now. Now i found it! After years and years or searching. It brings back all the emotions, and makes me feel like Im back in that car with my friends I have not seen for so long.
Geez, I was 27 when I posed this? After all this time the song popped in my head again in 2020 and it's still here... thank you. Now I'm 36 we have a pandemic, riots, and a country falling apart. Maybe it's appropriate this came to mind after all this time. Stay strong people.
It's not just for the lonely though, is it? It's a great piece of music, that anyone with an open mind will enjoy. It makes me cry though. Humanity is fcuked. I'm disappointed in us.
fuck, i am searching for a Techno CD, with remixed songs, I can't remember anything but the word "Electronica", I thought it was somewhere at 00's!I also remember a song with french lyrics, and another one saying "If you are a freak like me....", If someone knows something plz tell me!
I've been listening to this close to 20 years now from Paul Oakenfold's Oslo CD. Great to see we all have shared enjoyment from this
20 years, cant believe it’s been that long, but it’s just as good as the first time I heard this
Yes same here....can someone please explain to me wtf does a dj actually do..?? I assumed he remixed but I sew its exactly the same...seems like all they do is take credit for good unknown artists
make it 23...
I used to have this on white vinyl; used to love banging it on at the very end of a night partying at home. 199?
Oakenfold's global underground Oslo brought me here. Great stuff.
1997 a magical year a lot of memories friends and good times and sad times around this beautiful piece of music. thank oakenfold for it .

One of the most beautiful songs ever.
for me the best song i have ever heard.. so much emotion and variation.. love it so much after all these years
Gorgeous track. Melody is simple, breathtaking and absolutely invulnerable to being overplayed. Always sounds good, that is the mark of a classic.
one of the only great American DnB tracks of it's time. awesome, it took our friends across the pond a while to find theyre DnB feet though.
So true. British DnB ruled the roost for many years, but our Cousins nailed it eventually.
beautiful song....Jamie Myerson has always put a lot of emotion into these DnB tracks.

@zr0hero83 Oh ye u did, GU 004... one of the only early GU's I really enjoyed alongside GU 009: San Fransisco from Sasha
It's not just for the lonely though, is it? It's a great piece of music, that anyone with an open mind will enjoy. It makes me cry though. Humanity is fcuked. I'm disappointed in us.

mmmhhhh.... seems the same melody of "This is not America" David Bowie 1985......
Nice but a bit too dramatic for me.
