I bought the pencils
and I luv them and I ordered before I got the Inktense pencils...what can I say, I'm a moody person.
I have this set (as well as the pencils) and I would love to see some more projects from you using them. I bet you will do lovely work with them. :)
I love this set, bit haven't used too much. More inspired now! Thank you! 🎉❤
Thank you Sheila, I'm glad you enjoy them too!
You're welcome ! Have fun 😀
Your mountain painting turned out beautifully!! I especially like the reflection in the water. The shimmery effect must be achieved by these special paints. I usually paint faces, portraits with my watercolors but im looking forward to painting landscapes with my new grafitints. Yes!! Thank you for inspiring me to order these fabulous watercolor paints.❤ p.s. currently on sale on Blick art supplies if anyone wants to give them a try.
I'm glad this was helpful,.and thank you for the tip about the sale 🙂
How great to see you paint something not hyperrealistic. An attractive, soothing painting, but don't leave it in the sunshine for too long! One thing Derwent is specific about is lightfastness (they finally owned up after many years of fudging the issue). I understand you "only paint for fun and practice and not to sell [your] art", but I can't bear the idea of creating something visual that will have to stay in a drawer or a closed sketchbook most of the time, or that I won't be able to give to friends, or even sell (one can dream).
In your 12-set, only 7 colors are lightfast: one green, three browns, the black, and two greys
(Ivy, Chestnut, Cool Brown, Cocoa, Midnight Black, Cloud Grey, Cool Grey). It's better with the 24-colors set: 17 out of 24.
I've been pining for them for a long time, and this video made me look again. I'm glad that now they are being sold "open stock" (à la pièce) by stores in Europe. I'm going to buy a few at first and use them in pairs and triads, a great thing since I'm not into realism at all! 😋
Yes I ger it about selling, for fun though they really are good
I was so intrigued not only by the beauty of your painting and the colors you used, but also by the wonderful comments…so I immediately ordered a set of the graphite paint you used. Thank you for the inspiration. ♥️
You're welcome ! 🙂
I enjoy all your videos. I think you can take any pigment whether watercolor, graphite, gauche..whatever and whether it's called professional or student and create beautiful art. The common denominator is Talent and Creativity. :)
Thank you so much! This one I thought made it even easier to create than some other mediums, maybe because I enjoy the colors too.
Absolutely stunning! The sparkle at the end has absolutely sold me on them. Have popped them on my Amazon Art Supplies "Wish List" and with Mother's Day not too far away, I'll be dropping big hints! Ie, I'll order and pay for them and give to one of my (grown-up) kids to wrap and give to me 😆. Thanks for another fab vid, all the best from Australia x
I'm glad you have found a present to look forward to with this video 😀 have fun with them when the time comes!
This looks like very high quality colour, please also say something about chocolate in a video
Ah you are a chocolate fan then 🙂
Your picture is very beautiful. I also use the graphitints, in the box and as pencils. The muted tones are beautiful.
I also think it's great that you can lighten areas with an eraser and create highlights at the end of the painting process.
They’re truly unique, I'll use them again for sure!
Beautiful layers❣️love it!🙏🏽👍🏽🙋🏻♀️
Thank you Maria 🙂
I have the pencils. Their rich muted tones are wonderful. I would consider getting the paints since I did not know they existed. Thank you!
You're welcome, this is great you’ll see they're fun 🙂
wow this is a beautiful painting!! thank you for trying these graphite paints, lovely
You're welcome 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you 😊
This is fascinating, I love it ☺☺
Thank you 😊
Wow! Beautiful colors! I really enjoyed it! I would love to try them❤😊
They’re really nice 🙂
Thank you ! Beautiful painting. Like the paints as well
You're welcome 🙂 I see they are popular !
Beautiful. I’ve just bought these and I do not get a result anywhere like this haha 😂😂
How fun. I've been thinking of trying Derwent's Inktense pencils and blocks. Great to see you work with the Graphitints
I have the pencils but I haven't featured them yet!🙂
The brush seems to flow so naturally ,and that painting turned out really cool. How long have you been a watercolorist?
Thank you, I started in 2019 and really found my style and getting more comfortable in 2020.
@@paintingandchocolate REALLY???? Ur pulling my leg! Because i was thinking, "this chick probably started watercolor when she was a little girl?" Haha
So talented!
Thank you! I practiced every week like crazy too!😁
Thanks ❤
You're welcome 🙂
I love my set!
No wonder it is so nice 🙂
Gorgeous work! This video was really great and loved watching how effortlessly you made it look even though I know for me it isn't even close to it. 😂 Do you mind sharing what brand the squirrel quill is? Do you have smaller sizes that you like too? Great job as always.❤
Not sure exactly which one I picked, I always use my Silverbrush black velvet and Raphaël, same sizes. I linked to amazon, all my supplies, in the description of the video, you will see it. Hope this g
Helps!
I have both. Please tell me you're so getting the intense pan set, I need help. Love the graphitint.
I have it now and should use it soon!
Lovely painting. I agree they do layer well and even though you bought them unintentionally, I’d consider getting the 24 pencil set. It expands the colour range and they are great for detailing on landscapes. Just one question, did you paint this one on a cellulose or cotton paper?
I have the pencils actually, just didnt get a chance to try them here yet 🙂 this was 100% cotton cold press, Saunders Waterford. I hope that helps!
I have this paint. The graphite doesn't fully adhere to the paper. If you run your hand across tge dried paper, you will pick up graphite residue. Spray a fixative over tye finished work, like you would a pastel.
Thank you for mentioning it, I haven't noticed it and it's already framed and sitting in my friend's shop!
I know of the brand. But with graphite in the paint..that s news to me. Nice work
Glad this was a useful piece of information, thank you for letting me know
I like the rules in your bio!
😁
I know that Derwent originally intended their coloured pencils for nature art…hence their range of colours. Apart from the Inktense range, I guess they have stuck to that philosophy.
True they do have a lot of colors that look very earthy and natural within their various lines or art supplies, good point I never noticed it.
