"Thanks for calling the South Australia Police Assistance Line. Please listen to all this unnecessary drivel (Covid etc) before we put your call on hold because we are under-staffed."
They called the non-emergency line, hence the first instruction to hang up if it was an emergency and dial 000. Those messages probably save a lot of unnecessary manpower.
No, it's not only for life threatening situations (even though this video would qualify). You should probably inform yourself what 000 is for before embarrassing yourself, 🤡🤡
Every time I go for a ride in the hills, I see twitt's driving 20km under the speed limit, crossing over double lines, like they are in fast car race, then speed up when you try to overtake them, at a legal overtake spot. Welcome to Adelaide drivers. Some of most inconsiderate, and downright dangerous drivers you will ever meet. (PS> This is why a lot of bike riders overtake on the double white - to get away from those idiots. And they can do it faster than car ever could.)
@@stivi739 Seriously, you are a dick if you think he lost his licence for this. What about all the priors and the fact that this was a repeat offender who could not do the right thing if they tried. I am not a cop but often wish I was.
Speaking from experience, if you are in rural South Australia and need to report a bad driver, don't bother ringing sapol on 000. Because, they aren't going to come. Mainly because it's 250km between manned cop shops, and they are always on their day off anyway. Growing up in the 70s, our local bloke was on duty 24/7. Not any more. Good luck getting it sorted
I saw a really drunk driver (worse than this) . I made the mistake of calling the police and then was told off for calling the police not hands free (about 20 years ago). This is even though the drunk had nearly had a head on with another vehicle, nearly hit the kerb numerous times, couldn't keep on the road when there were 2 lanes in each direction and we were doing about 30 KPH tops at the time with next to no other traffic (just 2 cars that had passed in the opposite direction in a 1 minute period) I would have thought that nearly crashing into someone head on would have been more important than obeying a hands free law considering the circumstances. Ps I have a phone cradle now (have had for decades) I don't think my phone even had speakerphone (old nokia 2110 I think)
As a 000 call taker in SA … I would not criticise anyone for calling this in on TZ. There are a whole lot of less serious/ enquiries rung in on the emergency number I can tell you!
Never stop following this type of driver. Call 000 and force the Police to attend. Keep the vid going, inform the Police that non-attendance is not an option and their response will be on YT.....
Unfortunately cops are constrained not only by the law but also mandatory procedures and protocols, a punitive internal investigations unit, every camera phone aimed at their direction, and a perpetrator-friendly court system. I know because I used to be a cop. I'm not now because of the above.
Strath is 10km the other way. More likely old mate was hitting the piss at the Vic and decided to play funny buggers with this poor chap. A lot of cooked cunts on the roads. Stay safe, drive safe brothers and sisters
Driving behind any vehicle this close is poor driving. Staying this close to an erratic dangerous driver is very poor driving and not showing adequate self preservation instincts.
@ never said the commodore wasnt the mist dangerous driver that you could come accross. A total moron that wss probably off hid head. My point is you see a car acting a fraction as bad as that - back the f off. self preservation. they ate bound to do something unpredictable to ruin your day.
Moving right along, just another day in the Adelaide Hills. Even saw a tradie ute with a couple of cops in it the other day driving like this near Williamstown. Driving like f-wits and then making people pass them on double white lines, boom lights and sirens, you’re done! Police entrapment by any other name.
wow i am surprised the car is registered, in no way defending this driver but did something happen with the cam car that started this 'incident'?, it seems there was some beef going on.......i say its always good to include some before footage to show there was no lead up to what we see happening here.....but either way i hope sapol catches up with the bogan chariot commo driver...
Thanks for doing your best regardless and remaining safe too. You are a gem. 😉👍🍻

Because we sacked our smart cops who refused the jibby jabs lol

"under-staffed" is a euphemism for we employed people based on DEI and so don't have enough competent people to run efficiently.
Protip: Don't call the non emergency line for a legitimate emergency like this was. Just call 000. Let them set their own priority on the call.
No, 000 is for life threatening situations
@@craigoOZ what do you think this is, if another vehicle came towards them?
@@craigoOZ this is life threatening. that driver was waving a 1.5 ton weapon he obviously couldn't handle in public.

Call 000 in this situation. Lives are genuinely at risk!
Onya for reporting it. 👍🇦🇺

Same here mate, every time I get home from a hills ride after witnessing idiots I thank god for another day
I think I might have gone with 000 in that situation. A very serious accident could have been only moments away.
Wow that is scary!
Definitely should have been a 000 call
Looks like a normal Mt Barker Driver to me
Really. Do you live in Mt Barker to notice.
Lol
@@smartalec_christmas Mt Barker used to be a nice town, absolute shithole now
Still better than most of the drivers on victor harbour road.
15+ fatalities & 50+ casualties on that stretch of road this year..
Just the average Adelaide driver. Nothing to see here...
Not sure some Vic Drivers the same!
They are too busy chasing killer speeders 2 kph over the limit.
at the bottom of hills in rural areas.......

Vehicle intervention techniques require three things, a bull bar, no traffic, and some nuts. 😢😮😅

Glad he called the cops huh
Blue Commodore is still registered, so it appears that nothing was done.
😮😮😮

Yeah it was near Woodchester...
Are you keeping up with the Commdore cause the Commodore is keeping up with you.
Old mate seems a bit lost... that sort of driving is more of a Northern suburbs thing
More like Northern light's and a few heavys that driver was experiencing 😅
Probably a tad pissed.

Yes, l noticed it too.

For some reason I am reminded of the start of a Pink Floyd song
Momentary lapse of reason 😅

I bet he has punched straight through from NSW North Coast and has " Hit the Wall " .
