I've watched quite a few videos about the APL. This was the best. I'm definitely buying one in a month or two. I did build my own VPB around 10 years ago. I used future pinball as I found visual pinball very tricky. I hope eventually to do most of the mods that you have done here.
Watched, liked and saved your video for later. Planning on picking up one of these tables after I move next year and will revisit this video for all of your insights. Great work! Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful video with lots of content. Thanks for making this. I wish Ibsaw this a year ago because it seems to have everything in 1 place versus going to a hundred different sites and videos and learning about all this on the fly.
Great video, very inspiring. I just got my ALP and you are putting ideas in my head as I love to tinker with this stuff as much as play the machine, just like my real machine.
Not done with the video just yet, but after seeing what you have done with those hdmi, usb, amp and such … you are my kinda guy, just going the extra mile where you can to just make things better and neater 👍🏻. Subbed!
Nice job. One last thing you might want to consider doing is upgrading the backglass to a 21.5" monitor. Acer SB220Q fits like a glove (surface mounted). It also needs a EDP to HDMI adapter from geekworm to play nicely with the ALP board. FYI, I tried to do the same to upgrade the playfield monitor, but that was a no-go. There's always the 4KP.
I wanted to drop by and say the structure of this video and the way you present things is first class. This video must have taken a LOOONG time to make and many months of work and you make it look so easy. Very tastefully modded
I'd love to see a little more on your Nvidia DSR setup. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else when trying to get the screen to look a little better.
Hi, thank you for your video Quick question You say that you used an 8 inch display for the DMd, but showed a picture of the Amazon site for the 7 inch display? Can you verify which you used? Also the 7 inch is a 1280 vs the 8 inch of 1024. Do you think that will be an issue in picture quality ? Thank you Cfg
Banging my head against a wall trying to get DSR working on mine. I have an nvidia gpu that supports it, but any time I try to set a resolution over native the screen just goes black 😢

Loads of useful information here. Came here looking for a visual pinball tutorial. Stayed for all the other useful tidbits
I hope you are well. I really enjoy your channel and miss your restoration videos. Looking forward to seeing another one sometime.
Me too I hope he’s okay haven’t seen him post a bid in a while. 😢
All is well. I just put a video up on the Marantz 2500 a couple of days ago.
Still kicking!

Thanks! I'm a hobbyist and I wanted to share what I learned along the way. Virtual pinball is a lot of fun and I really enjoy my setup.
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to make it.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it.
I'd invest in a nice bar stool, at the right height for you, and then just never move 😆 Great video, clear content and advice.
JP is a Maestro!
Yes, he is. I didn't know much about virtual pinball but when I started to do some research his work came up often.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it. Thanks also for the backbox recommendation. I'll check it out.
Thanks for the great tips!!
Great video. Nice pacing and details. I'm curious almost a year later, what do you like, what have you changed, what do you not like.
You had me at "Nightfly" :)
Thanks for watching.
Now, time to check out BAM head tracking, and turn that single perspective view into something truly immersive.

Hi, thank you for your video
Quick question

What resolution have you got it set to on the nvidea control panel? Are you using a 2.0 or 2.1 hdmi cable as well?
