    As always, I enjoyed your tutorial. Having twisted up lots of spinners over the years, I’ve found that adding a small solid brass bead between the weight and clevis will act as a bearing which will help the blades spin with less resistance and extend the life of your spinner. Just food for thought. I really enjoy your channel! Keep up the great work!

    This looks fun, just saved you in my watch later's. The last time I went on a in-line kick I sacrificed a few, and bought a few for larger blades (Salmon Steely sizes), Had to get creative with hook choices and attachments. Need more cowbell!! lol, Merry Christmas.

    Nice build. Great swimming action on the long feathers. I also think it would work well with only one blade for a little more subtle action.

      Thanks Lee! Most definitely on the blade - smaller and/or a single would be a great way to make it more finesse! Thanks for the feedback my friend!

    Sharp looking lure, nice color combo, like the action in the water, great looking build. Adam I make a lot of spinners the tool i use is the Twist- Tech wire former, makes the job so easy. It's a little pricey but well worth the price. As usual another great video !!!

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  2 роки тому

      Thanks Robert! I looked at a few fancier units that would do more than barrel twists but most were designed to mount on a work bench (and were more expensive, as you said). Perhaps one day!!

    I’ve been catching bass with Mepps dressed aglia in-line spinners, for 24 years. My PB (10 lbs), was caught with a size 4 Mepps dressed aglia. I have caught countless bass with size 4, and size 3. In fact, I’ve caught more bass with a Mepps dressed aglia, than with any other lure/bait.

    👍👍 An smallie book I have discusses an older lure called a "cockatousch" (sp?), that is basically what you have done - inline spinner with a tied trailer. I've bent / tied some up for white bass and LMB as well as smallies and struggle a bit with balance, esp sizing the blade to the overall build but they catch fish!. Any pointers welcome. Great work, Adam! Thanks for sharing.

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  2 роки тому +1

      Very cool, I had no idea they had a name other than in-line spinner. You are correct, proportions are key (both for performance and visual appeal). It would be interesting to try this concept with a willow leaf, knowing it’s not going to “spin” like it does on the ball bearing swivel of a spinnerbait but it should rotate in the clevis like a SB front blade. I think it could be a more finesse approach, offering flash with minimal vibration, but who knows!? LOL And that’s what makes it all so much fun, the experimentation! Thanks Rob! I appreciate the dialogue!

      Have a harder time getting willowleafs to play nice on these than IN or CO blades. Maybe I am missing something critical. Can send some photos if you have an email....

    Me ha gustado el vídeo !!!
    Algo de la vieja escuela pero con un toque al estilo salve de gloria!!!
    Me ha gustado mucho la herramienta usada para hacer la forma o base de esta arma mortal para lucios y para black bass grande suelen funcionar también.
    Quizá suene algo mal pero yo personalmente el anzuelo triple de atrás le hubiera montado quizá unas plumas o algún material de color rojo sobretodo por qué el lucio suele sentirse bastante atraído por ese color jejejeje.
    De todas maneras esto son pequeños trucos míos y sugerencias.
    Pero la verdad que el del video ya es como decimos aqui en españa la madre de Dios para el lucio jaajjjaj es una expresión como decir es el máximo nivel en su categoría .
    Me alegro de ver cosas así poco convencionales en tu torno por qué siempre les das un toque especial !!!
    Ojalá no viviéramos tan lejos te mandaría plumas de gallos de León (puedes buscarlas en Google si quieres enlace te lo mando por privado.)las mejores plumas del planeta tierra como un día dijo un reconocido amigo mío,no debería ser tan difícil mandar un paquete jejejjjee

    Can you do as much with this tool compared to the commercial bench wire forming tool?

    • @SDGCustomLurecraft
      @SDGCustomLurecraft  6 місяців тому

      With some extra effort, yeah. The barrel loops absolutely, R-bends etc... probably, but like I said, a little more effort.
