Nice to have the update 😊 shame we have to go to work to earn money 😢 when our time at home is better spent xx love the goats I’m sure they’ll be happy in their new pen
Goats are Houdini artists! Had a mum and son once and he was forever escaping from the enclosure. They brought endless pleasure as they are highly intelligent and inquisitive. They would come for a walk with me just like a dog. Enjoy them.
Nice video, good to see you posting again. How long do you think you'll have to work for? The smallholding life seems like it'd be way better if you could work the land full time rather than for someone else at a job
I'll be at this job until the time is right, I don't know when that is as I have obligations there that I need to see through until the end, I won't know that end until it happens. On the homestead front I need a minimum amount of infrastructure in place before I can quit which I do have a set checklist for. It could be a few years but definitely before I'm 40 😂
Nice to see ya back again Bridgeman. Keep the updates comin when you can. i find them interesting. Living in Straya is hot n boring. Did you get a vid of the digger?
Glad to see you back! Working hard I see. Good luck with everything you do and planning to do. One day I will come and visit you at the Bridgeman cottage 😉☺️
Aww your goats have such pretty names. And gosh, you've got Foghorn Leghorn living with you!! So cool! I think it was Gay Byrne asked David Attenborough if there was any animal he didn't like, he said without hesitation 'rats', because he couldn't think of any good reason why they ever existed. So I wouldn't feel too bad about getting rid of them, they are an absolute curse.
1] how did you get rid of the rats? 2] what type of job did you get? [ you don't have to answer if you would rather not. I can understand how you might want to keep it private.]
I ended up using poison, I tried everything I could to avoid that outcome but nothing worked, they were digging into the beds and eating all of the tulip bulbs so they REALLY had to go. Fixing the slope will deter them from nesting there in future
LONG time, no see! It's great to see you back!
Its lovely to see you back I hope you are keeping well take care
Nice to see you back Bridgeman. Lots of changes going on 👍

Love your videos. I'm glad you are showing the realistic life that a lot of us have to earn money to subsidise our 'real' life at home .

Hi good luck with your new job.
Below that phrase should read”you have come a long way from your begining” not begging.
Looks like you've been busy. I need to get on with some fencing but it's been unbelievably wet and the ground is totally saturated
Good to see you back! Keep making videos you're inspiring others to buy their own land. Also, what's your full time job now?
I work as a supervisor in food production/hospitality :)
Goats prefer to eat above themselves, & like being on high ground or slopes at hedges eating leaves
Goat shelter = trees.
fast growing, Willow or the amazing Alder.

I hope you don't worry about using poison, because rats are terrible. Also, I really enjoy your videos.
