That's fantastic. What a great job. Look forward to seeing the plants grow on it. BTW. Thanks for prompting Mossy to post a message. Many of us follow both of you. Pleased he responded.
Kyle great job on your rustic trellis. It looks really great and I learned something new re the Cleve knot. I guess they used it to secure clothes lines also
Super tutorial. Will rewatch when I start mine for guidance. I grow willow and bamboo, so no shortage of poles 😊. Can't wait to see your trellis draped in foliage.
Love the trellis! Yes very cool! You have progressed leaps and bounds with your land. Can you tell me again the name of your favourite pumpkin " Red ?" thank you, I didn't have much luck last year with my saved pumpkin seed so wish to try something new, enjoy seeing what you get up to as at the same stage with my plot, many thanks
That's incredible. I created something similar but not as artistic for my zucchini bed. Unfortunately, the bees never pollinated my squash so all I got were lovely leafy vines and blossoms. Here's hoping the bees in Ireland are more effective!
Now that all of the infrastructure is in place (driveway, drainage, solar panels, chickens, garden, oven, bath etc.) I am turning my focus in that direction, hopefully I'll get started this year if funding allows, have a lot to do so working on the budget and timeline at the moment
Ahh yeah the old money struggle. Its always the same when your trying to get stuff done. But sure Rome wasnt built in a day Kyle. You will get there in good time. Looking forward to see what you have planned. Great to talk to you again. Talk again soon. May get my arse into gear and get stuff done here. Take care and be safe . Good luck
@@thebridgemanscottage it looks cool as you were cutting. It's a saw I would like. It's not too big, so I think I should find it easy to use. Thanks for replying. ☘️🇮🇪🌸
@@teresacrowley4076 yeah it's very light and easy to use, it cuts on the pull rather than the western style of cutting on the push. I find it very comfortable.
Hazel won't root from poles/cutting like willow if that's your concern. If the poles are a good diameter, you can stick them in the ground upside down. That will work for any type of wood
What a joy to watch
Wonderful! 🎉
Love it !

You should be proud of yourself for the great work you did,not easy making a garden.

That is one amazing looking trellis Kyle. The knots are quite cool too.. I have trouble tying my laces so might have to focus on that first 😂
😏😂

I’m loving watching the development of your garden. It’s looking great.
that’s a great trellis Kyle! Brilliant idea 😀
Your garden looks beautiful Kyle.great work.
Looks good Kyle, great to be using what you have available
Really found this helpful. I'm going to have a go at making something similar. Thank you!
Nice. Another great job again Kyle. I actually have trellis envy now! 🤣 They look good for a game of footie too if you get bored ⚽🥅😜
Your garden is really coming on! I love a trellis in a garden, and have three.
Fantastic Kyle , great job, proves you can make things with materials you have ,and no need to spend Money
Great work on your trellis. Now I know how to do a clove hitch 😊
Clove hitch, truckers hitch, bowline knot, square knot and a taut-line hitch are my most used knots. Davy knot for fishing :)
Don't be surprised if the trellis starts sprouting out new growth. I used willow once and it started growing fresh branches!
Trees can be so sarcastic sometimes. I hate it.
Great work Kyle, it's fairly coming along 😀 🌱
Looks smashing Kyle, I’m sure the pumpkins will approve.
Smashing Pumpkins 🤘😜
Love it Kyle, will be having a go at that myself now. Looks really good. Your whole vegetable patch looks amazing.
Big up from nyc
Wow ,the trellis is looking good, great work.
Well done. I am going to copy your design.
Yes!
Absolutely love it! Well done 👍 it looks amazing.

Red Kuri :) small little pumpkins that store very well, very tasty when cut in half and roasted
Brilliant job Kyle, looks great
Good job Kyle- looks great.

The blossoms are still beautiful, and edible :) best of luck this year!

Thanks, you too! I forgot the blossoms are edible. Darn, they went into the compost pile.
Jez Kyle the garden is looking the job now. Thats a great idea for a trellis. You must have been in the scouts as a youngster with the knots were ya.
I was as a young lad but really only learned my knots properly 5 years ago when I started getting into bushcrafting
Well fair play lad. Keep sharing and please keep doing so. Everyday is a school day. Have you amy plans for work on the cottage for the summer?

Its a very solid trellis Kyle. Well made💪💪💪 happy gardening . What type of saw did you use?
Samurai Ichiban, it was cheap when I bought it 5-6 years ago and it's still going strong!
Any Japanese pruning saw is a must have in my opinion, doesn't have to be my exact brand, Silky saws are the big name brand you'll find

@@thebridgemanscottage ok cool. Thanks for that additional info
That looks brilliant! How long did it take to do in real time?
It can be done in one day, I just took my time with it and worked on it between other things 😂
Don’t want to be a party-pooper, but the hazel poles won’t suck up nutrients, will they…..?
They're not stuck into the ground :) because the tripod gives it such a wide base it's not necessary, they're just sitting on woodchips
