can you try the lexip mo42 ceramic mouse feet? i have them and they are built like a tank and glide like playing on a cloud... they do not wear on a hard mousepad... would be interesting to see.

A bit late comment, but I hope you can answer my question. I kind of arm aim with my wrist, so I put pressure on my lower palm and drag it across the pad using arm, actually looks like we have the same style. So my question: Is the surface smooth in a way that it is possible to drag palm without it sticking to the pad like what happens with a hardpad?

I bought the Mad Catz Glide 19 recently and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a cheaper version of this pad. They are pretty close in quality from what I can tell and both offer the same features.
Interesting... Three years later and in this specific local market, AMP is almost half the price of Glide :D

MADCATZ G.L.I.D.E 38! No issues with bumps stays flat after rollout even after extended rolled-up storage! Looks better too, nice black tone with minimal grey branding, no stupid eagle doing a silly fistbump! Damn aorus I'm not 13!
The madcatz glide is way slower. Many softpads are faster tho
@@dennsoll softpads faster which one? I doubt it only softpad I think can be a bit faster is the Asus Scabbard (cordura hybrid). Or if you consider that japanese one with glass infusion a softpad (Artisan). Hardpads Like the AMP or Helios can of course be faster. I have corepad TPFE skates and apply pledge polish every week on the GLIDE 38 to make it faster, can't do that on a cloth or cordura pad unless you want gunk.
@@Frencho9 I have the madcatz glide and the corepad tpfe skatez aswell. It depends on how "often" the mousefeets scratched arround. If u do the "table glide," to scratch ur feets hard, the mousepad will feel way faster after that, but after 1-2 hours of use, the mousepad will be slow asfck again. I legit noticed it at the beginning so no matter how clean it was, no clue how this problem begins. any roccat taito or a razer speed mousepad have done it better. U will never have a difference of glide there. The amp has not the problem aswell, and it didn't care once how clean it was^^ Btw. i have the old razer megasoma 2 (silikon aswell) and that's gliding the shi2t out of mice. not even comparable to an amp500 or mad catz glide, but sadly too small.
@@dennsoll Weird never felt it was slow, fastest pad I have owned. My previous one was the Roccat Alumic hardpad, I only used control side, speed felt scratchy, point is it is slower than my pledged Glide 38 even being a hardpad. I have tried faster hardpads but not my thing cuz I lose control. Glide 38 is the sweespot for me speed wise. But I clean daily my Glide 38 before use with a wet sponge I exclusively use for it, being waterproof it air dries in a couple of minutes and then apply pledge polish every week and that helps a lot to increase speed and smoothess. The pledge polish also lubricates and leave a residual protective layer. So my Glide 38 is almost as good as new, very consistent, no cuts, nicks or wear on the surface. Edit as you can see I am a clean freak, so my mouse skatez are pristine too, no scratches. What I love about the Glide 38 is the ease of maintenance and cleaning compared to clothpads or cordura and I can get a mousemat XL size unlike hardpads. Saves me a lot of time, busywork.
@@Frencho9 well maybe it's me and something goes wrong with my sweat on top of the mousepad since it is wateresistent aswell. But i don't get it why it was all the time way faster, when i scratch my mousefeets on a table, like it would kill the sweat anyhow idk. I swear that u would love the megasoma 2, but it's so sad it is no longer produced. And too small for shooter anyway. Idk why razer never marked them right. It is the same hybrid surface they are like the creator of those pads. Back in 2008-2010 lol and no one knows of this pads
I love this pad, mine laid perfectly flat out of box.
Very similar to the Razer megasoma 2, I’ve had that mat years so may have been the trend setter for this tech.
Hey Brian, would love it if you did a review on the new Intellimouse pro. Been using mine for a few days now and I'm loving it so far, my hands are about the same size as yours but a little wider.
Looks like my old steelseries qck dex, which was sliding all over the place. Texture was unpleasant on my wrist. It was also very fast, and water resistant. I went back to normal qck and qck pads.
Badseed check out the rog scabbard. I heard its a great mousepad
yea they should send out mouse pads flat i know take up more space but when i get it be flat no wave i know this feeling
its weird mine was flat from the minute i got it. i wonder if its just a bad one when the silicone cured or something? or am i lucky? either way i love the pad
Maybe someone has already mentioned this before but these types of pads are much older than most people think. The original Qpad CT was a hybrid pad, and a pretty popular one too. The problem was their poor durability. And their "large" version was considered tiny even when it was new.
Hey! have you checked out the Asus Scabbard ? This is my new current pad and I have to say its hands down better than the Glorious helios, Hyper X fury pads and QCK IMO It's sooo fast and seems to clean easy. I do however, only have a 1 weeks experience with this new pad compared to the others with months/years
could you review the glorious 3xl extended soft pad? on the edge of getting this pad.

Mine got here today and it is flat... perfectly flat. I am very happy with it. They could make it a bit bigger...since it is not hard.
idk but i bought the amp500, all i did was roll the pad oppositely like a newspaper and it settled right away
i have used it for a week and it has no problem whatsoever

Lioncast Apace is similar in size and material to the AMP500 but comes in at 25€ here in germany
they need to come out with amp 700 700mmx700mm for 45 bucks these mousepad sizes are killing me smalls
So what are the differences between the Amp 500 and 900? And why choose them over the helios?
When I got my gigantus it wouldn't settle so I rolled it backwards and put it in the box for a night and then it played completely flat, not sure if this is a good idea
I snagged a glide but and it didnt have the same waves as the amp but the silicon also didnt stick to my desk even as well as my qck

i tried the steelseries dex when it came out and just didnt like it. i think people are better off going with something like a zowie gtfx, razer strider, or artisen hien if they're looking for a hybrid surface

@@heyword Helious is a True hard pad, making it faster. I have both pads and I can rarely tell that the helious is faster.
