    I've had Flexilla for years now and love them. They've held up very well for my purposes and rarely have any kind of kink. The hose doesn't have a memory either so it rolls up great every time on Eely reels.

      That is huge. The stiffness of the one I replaced and the memory in it was horrible.

    I had a hose like yours and a contractor hose last year.....hated them both. Way too heavy and they kinked all the time. Started with Flexzilla in February and have had no issues. A lot lighter and way easier to work with.

    Flexzilla has worked well for me as a homeowner, all my life as child my parents would buy cheap hoses. I got a killer deal at NAPA auto parts on a flexzilla. I bought it and it changed my life, recently had its crimp end come off 2 years later, but i just pushed it back on. I think the swivel hoses are more prone to that tho, due to a different type of crimp connection.

    • @jonboysprowash7845
      @jonboysprowash7845  5 місяців тому

      I didn’t spend the extra on the swivels,so maybe this one will last me a long time too.

    The thing I noticed about Flexzilla is if you got the quick disconnect version, 1/2" 50', something weird happens. I had a home that the plumbers didn't restrict it yet, waiting for irrigation guys so 120 psi. I was doing a quick drive rinse, I do WFP. A bit of a tug and hose came out. OK, it end back in. The hose was bulging now so cut off a few inches, still buldge. I have clamped ends now but thinking the 120 psi for a 150 psi rated hose somehow damaged the tubing because If I hook up to a home with good psi like 80, it buldges right at the connection point. Yeah, I use a Flexzilla air line for WFP line and works great even in winter and reeling it in feels like speed hose.

    • @jonboysprowash7845
      @jonboysprowash7845  5 місяців тому +1

      I found reeling this 5/8 hose was really easy too. That extra psi may have caused some damage for sure.

    I'm not using it like you do, but I really like the Continental black rubber hose from Home Depot. They don't get stiff like vinyl hoses, even in cold weather. Haven't had any problems with cracking. The solid brass couplings are way better than the aluminum on a lot of hoses (aluminum will corrode brass fittings).
    They will kink, but the kink isn't permanent and doesn't damage the hose. I've got black rubber hoses that are decades old and in fine shape despite being left out in the sun for years at a time.

    Actually Project Farm tested garden hoses 2 years ago and Flexzilla had 2 kinks. The worst was Flexon with 5 kinks, Goodyear & Aqua Plumb had 4 kinks, Worth 3 kinks, Briggs & Stratton tied with Flexzilla with 2 kinks, Gilmour 1 kink, and four models had zero kinks: Fildanco Expandable, Aqua Joe, Zero G, and Bionic Steel. Besides kinking, testing included puncture resistance, burst pressure, water flow rate, level of force needed to drag 25 foot section of hose, and hose end strength (failure load).

    I hate all the lies and advertising.. I needed a hose that would withstand a lot of suction from a pump, and I bought this one that claims to not kink and can handle high pressure. well as soon as I turn the pump on it flattened it right out and it was struggling to pull water because the hose was collapsing.. I guess flexzilla is in my future.
