With the release of the Platinum Expansion on November 15th, I thought I’d have a look at whether the platinum expansion will work on other maps. What I found is awesome!! Ive been doing this with an AutoLoad log trailer and yarder parked at the top of a hill while I was tree chopping down the bottom
From what I understand containers can not be sold with logs in on any other map than the silverrun forest map, you should check before advising people to use containers on other maps !
I can’t get containers to sell on any other maps either .
He didn’t say you can use them on other maps though
@@UKTrucker_Malc The video was done on the Western Wilds and he was showing us that the DLC worked on other maps.

I heard you can sell containers on elmcreek and haut-beleron via train
I think the warning is that each log takes up a log slot that is finite in the container and if it’s not the full length you’re getting less liters. I think they explained that in the podcast or somewhere along those lines.
Great video Mr Sealy P. Just a heads up when on other maps I don't believe you can sell the containers or use them for productions. So the wood is in there but can't be sold or used.
Line up the container door in the path of the yarder and pull the logs to the trigger point where they will be auto loaded
This is great news to have this available, I think Giants have tried to make this map and logging accessible to everyone.
Shipping containers would be good, but they won't work with productions. So to use factories for now will have to load a log trailer manually
hello, try the "Big bag Handler" from the cSz modification for loading wood. Not only is it better for me, but it is for all types of loaders

I think what this dlc might bring is true auto load log mod trailers to the game. But like with the ride as passenger you get with Kubota dlc, not sure if you’ll need the Platinum dlc for them to work, or they will be base game compatible
It is technically already in game, pallet autoload works exactly the same it takes the pallet and turns it into litres, that’s how these containers are working.
Now if Giants had made the log transport trailers autoload I’d have been really impressed and since it is a script that has existed since logging was introduced I think they missed a real game changer for console.

Personally, I'd love to see someone make an auto loading log trailer. Like a normal open trailer. For us console users.
I mean, it could be similar to how we have the autoloading bale trailers but just with logs...
@@AceWolf2009 unfortunately console will be stuck with the wood to litres autoload as that is the only script Giants have implemented, it’s basically the same script as pallets.
The script that loads logs like bails and then offloads those same logs exists but it’s a 3rd party mod and this is not allowed on console.
Honestly, I am hoping that someone goes out and makes an open regular log trailer that is auto loading for us console players..
So I was expecting to go through FS22 without doing any logging, have never given it any thought or time but this may well change now. Map looks amazing time to learn something new, thank you for the map tour much appreciated
Shame that even on silverrun you can only use the containers to sell, it would be so great to use them to transport to a sawmill and unload, that would be a real autoload solution. Hopefully modders will jump on it soon. Same for a ironmine, would be a nice placeble.
My brother does the containers for work he said the Volvo and way the container reacts is very realistic

Don’t forget you need a spot to sell containers on the map. And it can’t be used for productions. I went though all the trouble of buying the stuff, filling it up, only to find out no sawmill I have will take it, and I have no where to sell it.

12M Container fits perfect on Lizard 50Ft Gooseneck Transport Trailer, available in mods section and can be switch to straight connection.
Saw this other day originally by driver53 on UA-cam and FS club yesterday. Definitely a game changer.
Its cool dlc but we need log autoloader in game hope modder give us log autoload because that container it's little bit annoying to use but good video 👍👍

Yeah but...can you even sell those containers on other maps? Doesn't the train need to have a specific wagon for it, or will any flatbed on a train do?
This is great ! Because loading logs was the one reason I didn't liked forestry.
I don’t understand why we just can’t have a plain simple auto loading log trailer to load and unload logs whether you’re selling them or using them for production, but giant software will not let us have this PC players have won’t let us console players have it but that’s supposed to be fair…. yeah right
Something I do that folks I see don't is I make wind and solar farms with the generators In the game with land I own but can not get rid of the buildings or farm them. If folks think the gov signs are cheating they shore would think the generator farms are cheating. I do not care those things are in the game. I have to use power tools to take money out of the game. I pause the growth and farm on my schedule and enjoy the game.

Really about high time you got Autoload logging trailers on Console (well, sort of). I use those constantly on PC (in 19), time and frustration saver
It probably want be long before modders will take how the containers work and use that on regular logg trailers and you will have "propper" autolod trialer. (IF its even possible, but i cant see why not. it have worked for the other "auto-loader" mods on console.

That was what I was struggling with in the firsttime using the platinum expansion.
But during watching you're video I saw the weight for the theleloader again like you use in other videos two.
But Maybe I missed in the description in other reviews from you but I can't find witch weight you exactly use, would you like to respond me the name of that weight so I can use it two?

Just what I've been looking for the last few months. Only question, will I HAVE to buy the expansion pack or will a modded version potentially happen? I don't play FS22 as much compared to when it came out so not spending another £20

That auto loading container really should have been added with the base game instead of with this DLC cuz I'm not paying $20 just be able to load up logs like that
If I purchase platinum, which 50-60$ seems kinda high. Will it combine with my already fs22 . Or is it a whole new game with all my mods disappearing. Love your videos.
other Log lengths will work but you get paid less, as a penalty for not havin' the right length of log per Log Container.
My unload here is no longer working. All day no problem, my last job full trailer of minerals can't unload. What do I do wrong 😢.

from forums and other videos, 6 meter logs are the the most profitable on most maps. However, when using the containers, a 12 meter container full of 12 meter logs on Silverrun should be around 160k.
Eh. Not exactly what we were looking for but it’s a start. Too bad we have to purchase a whole new edition.

And honestly, I don’t think it’s fair that PC gets to have way more mods than us players on console get It’s not right and giant software. I blame them for it because they allow it. I think if they’re going to allow people to make mods and put in the game, it should be for all platforms. I mean the game is for all platforms. Why cant the mods be?
Query. Can a log of the 'wrong' size be removed from a container manually (hi strength) without removing all the content?
A get round the iron ore problem would be to have metal coils available at a or all general sell points or have them delivered by rail from off map. The same way fabric, and other materials are available to buy from a sell point on the Platinum map.
Probably a dumb question...What is the weight you're using on your telehandler? I can't seem to find it haha.

Will the containers sell at the sell point, or are they emptying like a tipper on other maps? (Aka not silver run)
Can you use the harvester to cut the logs so they end up in the container without going on the ground first?
I'd like it more if it could be used for productions.

You need to check out the video by driver53 gaming that starts out with an orange and yellow container on the lowboy trailer. It is very educational as far as the price that you will get for logs and also I used the same equipment on another map "The Plantation" and it worked perfectly fine.

Do you have a video on the log trailer called long Bulk it’s supposed to be universal auto log loading on consul. I have it but can’t figure out how to get it on. There’s no buttons to turn it on and off not unless it’s like these containers just drive the logs up to the trailer and they automatically go in. I’ve drove around logs and nothing but maybe I got to pick them up and get them over the trailer for them to go in. I just downloaded this trailer and I really haven’t figured it out.😂😂😂😂
The containers are really cool, especially the mini wood container, but I would like to have a regular log trailer that auto loads to make it look more realistic😊😊😊
It’s nice to see but it isn’t a really great game changer as you can’t unload the container this makes it a bit limited.
Now adding in the autoload script for log transport trailers would have been a real game changer on console, this would have taken away the faff of loading some players don’t like making productions easier on console.

You can but it won't snap to the trailer like the first one however you can strap it down.
I can't seem to get the Claas Scorpion 1033 to take the front loader attachment, is there something I am missing please ?
When you purchase it you have the option for front loader or telescopic loader, make sure you select telescopic loader if you are using a telehandler.

many PS5 users commented on his map review that they are unable to download the DLC. I think someone mentioned that one of the other UA-camrs (DJ) had been in contact with Giants about it. Hopefully a fix is on the way

Yes having the same issues as well you’re not alone. I also can’t download the separate Volvo or Porsche tractors that cost a buck apiece.
the updated patch for FS22 is the one i had been waiting on...perhaps going on 1hr..or more...the PE DLC downloaded fine...the patch...extremely slow. my guess everyone is downloading the patch at the same time...?

It is almost quite useless to use the autoload trailer for logs soley based off of the fact you cant unload the logs seperately. Like if you're using the logs in productions.

Only on Silverrun at the container port or plonk them on the flatbed wagon on the train
Its only good for selling wood. You cant use it for your saw mill or productions once it goes into the container.
Why anybody, besides a handful, would want to screw around to sell wood when theres tons of other stuff to sell is beyond me, so for me at least, these containers are useless.
This game just turning into logging sim game seems to have nothing to do with farming anymore
This update refreshes a portion of the game that has had no overhaul since it’s introduction (it was needed).
When logging you still plant, grow and harvest, it’s called forest farming for this reason the only difference is the crop isn’t food related.
I understand that some productions requiring wood are a pain for console players (like me) as there are only a few ways to attain logs.
We are going to get a year 2 pass so as logging has now been overhauled the focus should return to crop related farming

I see where you’re coming from, but logging is farming and it’s a good to see new and refreshing content and not the same old content repeated over and over just with different maps.
You obviously are not farmers because logging is part of farming in the real world. At least where I am. It is extra income and income in the down months
