^This 100%. Also initiating & fine-tuning maintenance meds is not an instantaneous thing. We will be here when you're ready. Promoting yourself to the headliner rather than the sole act is also a good move. expand the talent pool, expand the audience, allow yourself breathing room. All in one move.

For the last 3 years this has been my most viewed and highly anticipated source of content weekly. Whether it be fooling around with kits, wotb, vintage repairs, or full scratch builds, I'm always looking forward to the next video. This has not been the case for these last couple months and now I know why. Get your head space and physical space where you want it... Most of us will be here for you when you feel more able to get back.
You say you "owe us" something when really it's quite the opposite. You've already given so many of us viewers, fans, and now colleagues so much of your skill, knowledge, and heart that we owe you. You shown so much and bared all for your fans and we're genuinely excited to watch you and this company continue to grow.
Before I found this channel, I was pushing 30 working in the restaurant business with an existential crisis of identity and purpose looming daily. Since stumbling across the original MF cyberpunk kit build my life has completely changed. I now build for one of the most prestiges bass guitar builders in the US and get to chat with real rock stars weekly. I now get offers at least once a month for free shows from bands I gushed over 20 years ago and get to be hands on with their instruments. This is all thanks to you! I never understood what/where my place was in the music industry until I found you and your channel. I owe you everything and you don't owe me a damn thing. For this, I thank you.

Like many viewers, I'm excited to see the eventual conclusion of the Hand Tool Only build. It's been fascinating to see the old world techniques, and the predecessors of what we take for granted as standard shop tools. Cheers to the Crimson team! 🍻

Congratulations Ben, you do a wonderful job in promoting everything in the guitar world. How about a section in the museum where amateur builders like myself can have a guitar displayed from time to time. Keep up the good work, but, more importantly, take care of yourself. Nothing is worth making yourself ill over. You have a great team there at Crimson. Deligate and keep you sanity. Thanks for all you do.

I am so excited to see you back and excited for the future of Crimson. Your enthusiasm and passion for every part of the company that you built has inspired me to get back to my own project and it is begging to deliver so thank you for you inspiration. I am so looking forward to seeing the guitar museum, the concept is so unique by allowing visitors not to just visit but to experience what it was like for guitarist's from back in the 60's would be playing and how the technology of the time influenced the music and produced those epic guitar performances. Have you considered having a podcast at the museum where you could invite well known guitarists and guitar collectors to talk about what was the guitar that set them on their journey. I hope I am not rambling on but the way. You spoke on this first online converstaion just blew me away. Your an inspiration and I always feel that I have learned more every time I wa5ch your channel. Best wishes and stay safe J.

Hi Ben. It's the amount of work that genuinely scares me... I think you should really work towards finding more time for yourself and letting the lovely staff take over some of your duties. I love watching Josh (so funny) working on instruments and what's on the bench, and Sofia is adorable and so talented. I just fear with so much going on, and the fact that you are running a big company that you might crash and burn. I've been there, done that. And its not good...Love the thought of having a museum. Delegate and make this a team adjustment. Take care. You deserve time out as you have kept me entertained for years. Cheers, Mike.

No need to apologize for personal time. I loved the one-day builds, possibly some variations on the theme, maybe 2 or 3 days, consecutive days via live feed. A Challenge series Ben VS a Crew member, maybe Crew member vs crew member. These builds should be in my opinion high quality builds, so you can sell the guitars as crimson custom series, or have a creativity section at the museum. I would recommend, starting these builds with a pre-made standard neck, for either bolt-on or neck-through, with Crimson specs, and creating a new model from there. As well, you aren't limited to guitar builds, possibly using up the small offcuts, and building ukes? Mandolins etc...

The main thing to see will be a healthy and content Ben. Taking time for you when building a business of the significance Crimson Guitars is, and the museum, and the vintage tool shop, it is easy to see how time constraints quickly become overwhelming.
There is no 'owing' us the viewer anything in terms of amount of content. As a long-ish time viewer, I am simply in awe of any creation you decide to share. The creativity and passion put into each build is what drew me to you channel, and I can only see that increasing with the number of luthiers coming on line in the future with their style and character via Crimson's label.
You, Sir, are a gent and a scholar of all things good on this platform. Please continue to give yourself the time you need to be at your best for you and the one's closet to you.

Ben, firstly I'd like to thank you for being open, honest and candid. The more we talk about ADHD and other neurological conditions, the more we help to remove stigma, increase awareness and encourage others to take charge of their health.
Secondly, no one who loves, admires and looks up to you, is going to be anywhere near as hard on you, as you are going to be on yourself, so you have nothing to apologize for.
As for what I'd like to see in the future - A happy, healthy, well rested Ben, who remembers that if he doesn't take time to look after himself now and then, we all risk seeing a lot less of him, and possibly for a lot longer.

Ben you are a master of building five guitars at once, over complicating all of them whilst remodelling all of the workshops and moving everything around in the office building whilst trying to setup a ten camera workshop/studio at home and extending it at the same time and and and .. But despite all this you have a thriving business, you have loads of radical and super exciting plans, you employ many staff. Your passion is electric and infectious your knowledge of everything about guitars boundless. I cannot imagine what it is like to work for you, I have no idea what your family make of all this. To try to capture whirlwind, to keep smoke in a box, to listen to 100 strings plucked at once......but this is what makes you unique, makes you so precious It's none of my business but is this a person that needs help from medicine?

Keep up the amazing work. Yea, I guess you can say that this is a "guitar building channel" but it is ok to take time off for personal reasons or otherwise. It seems like you're doing your best with the space you have. Would a larger facility work better? Maybe, who's to say. All in all the content is great and your team is awesome, and you need not worry about rushing to get 'building guitar videos' out. It's nice to see a sort-of behind the scenes look and a different kind of content from time to time. I wish I wasn't so far away so I could check out the shop myself. Again keep up the great work!

Ben, we appreciate your apology so much, though I think must of us absolutely understand that you have personal needs, I have ADHD too and I feel you, with all my appreciation for you I say, welcome back Ben

As like many it was the build videos that got my subscription and then watching the question times with the world wide community helping everyone is awesome.
Not that fussed about most of the teardowns, after watching 3 level crown and polish🐿️ its nearly as bad as watching sanding.
I understand that the museum 🐿️ needs funding and the daily guitar 🐿️ is a great way to do this ( may even get to win one or more 🤞) but think a better balance between all is needed not just for us fans but for you and the crimson staff.
Finally is the museum all upstairs? If so do you maybe see this as an issue restricting access to those who struggle with stairs?

Don’t feel pressured to do anything you don’t want to do, Ben. Especially not the hypothetical Leatherman-only build.

Wow!! I built a guitar at Crimson about 4 years ago, and the place was so much smaller then. Be careful, Ben, the universe may not be able to hold your eternal expansion!!!

20:52 you have an Ibanez Roadstar II! That's my very first bass and I still own it! Same color and everything as the one on the wall right behind you, Ben!
EDIT: upon closer inspection - IS that a Roadstar II?

I for one only watch the build videos, and this one I guess. The other stuff doesn’t make me mad, I just don’t click on it. So hooray for more builds! As a fellow ADD dad, I feel your pain.

Hey there, Ben… I was a little concerned that you were moving away from what drew me to the channel; that being the building of guitars like the Complication… which I have to say had me absolutely spell-bound, for the entire series; the NZ kauri build is something that I am intensely interested in being a NZer! 😃
I realise that you must move forward to remain relevant and to keep your own interest levels up, but felt that the Guitar Museum was a bit of a dead end - for the channel!! - simply because most of your viewing audience will never be able to visit it, and experience the hands-on experience that you will be offering.
It is not my place to be critical of your content, and I am most grateful when I see a new Crimson thumbnail pop up, so all I can say is … “Yay”
Your technical skills are astonishing, but what carries the day is your enthusiasm and gentle humour; I look forward to seeing more of those!!

Hi Ben, you don’t owe us content. All your supporters enjoy and value whatever content you are able to provide. Your health is more important than suffering to provide more than is manageable. Unrelated to guitar instead of a guitar vid (and I understand if this is too personal to share for you), but I’d value a video on your journey with ADHD. I also have it and I’m only recently taking action to manage it. So to understand your experience would help me and no doubt many others. ❤

The Guitar Museum should probably (eventually?) have a recording studio as part of so that bands that want to can come and not just play but record with some of the rarer instrument you'll have.

Like some of the other people who've already commented, don't need to feel like you owe content. As a noob luthier I've found whatever you do incredibly educational. Be patient with yourself, and remember that it may take time to produce quality (more important than quantity).

I want more builds etc obviously. Not so bothered about the tear downs some have interest most not so, the exception is the museum pieces.
I do very much hope to visit the museum at some point

As much as I am excited about the future plans, I miss the simple weekly "hanging out with Ben" while he is creating the most amazing guitars, like Nebula 2, etc. I am not that keen on teardowns or museum updates... still love you though, it looks like you're surrounded with a fantastic team who helps you make your dreams possible.

I was missing the crazy build videos, that explains it. Of course health must come first.
That said, I don't really care for other content much, like ready made guitar show offs (there is enough of that on the net), giveaways or even other people doing stuff.
Most people just don't have it in them to make a video fun to watch, it's a rare gift.
