I am a medical doctor in Croatia- Europe. I live in a completely socialized system. We tend to help the people as much as possible, but waiting lines and red tape are horrendous here, so most people who can afford it go to see the specialist privately. Lets see, cardiologist examination, ecg and heart ulrasound with interpretation are 500 kn= 70$. I think thats cheap compared with the US. Maybe the soultion is to abolish the AMA- American Medical Association so more doctors can go to work market immediatelly, and maybe if patients went to their family practitioners and bargained for the price instead of relying on insurance the prces of care should come down
This makes me cry. I suffer from Chronic pain & have injuries all over my body. I also suffer from a rare misunderstood bladder disease & for years went out of state to see. An oncologist who started treating patients with my disease. I was in the film & fashion business but was for Ed to go on
Typo: was forced to apply for disability. My wonderful oncologist died & he treated me for free when I lost my insurance. He kept me functional. My urologist also treated me for free until his partners put a stop to it. He is Italian. I live in fear of losing help. I also had to have thousands of dental work done & have been taking care of my mother who has dementia. This guy is a hero.
I can pass for normal, & I don't cry even when in severe pain. I am like this because when I had surgery the anesthesia guy treated me like dirt as if I was a drug addict. I wanted them to numb my knee out. I never once asked for pain meds & the nurse was just as horrible. If the DEA has their way no one will be able to receive pain meds. There is a difference between a drug addict and a person with documented pain who needs relief. No relief can cause a stroke or heart attack.

Ava Wells---Yeah---if these lazy people would just get off their asses and earn their money the honest way: by inheriting it.
