As a 10 year weed smoker I totally get what she's saying about not being able to enjoy, I am one year sober and it is more rewarding just to feel present

This took b#lls/ovaries (of steel) to talk about her substance abuse, the aftershock effects of it (an OD): what a scary moment; in the end, she ultimately survived. This was one heck of a journey.

Its a program offered through many churches and its excellent support. Hey even if you’re not Christian, it is ok, don’t let the fact it’s offered through church discourage you.
It’s a good program and it’s no judgement.

She is speaking truth here. Taking things to numb the pain only works for so long before you end up in jail or the ground. It takes away every emotion. No pain, no sadness, no regrets, no remorse, but also no happiness, no joy, no love, no compassion, nothing. It’s not worth it. It takes away all light of your existence. If you or someone you know is struggling seek the proper help and if someone doesn’t want it just don’t give up on them.

Oh so brave I’m so so proud of her what a brave young lady I mean they them she has overcome so much. Just amazing just absolutely amazing.
Talk about honesty - even though it was years later - the courage it takes to admit you still fucked up but you overcame and learned that yes, I cannot do any of that stuff due to my past mistakes. She owns her truths and put them out there on her own timetable, but she owns them.
