I've heard that most Class D power sports amplifiers cause interference with FM radio reception. And, I've also heard that the motorcycle amp from ARC Audio is one of the best amps to use in order to play FM radio stations. Is this new Hertz amp a good choice for use with FM radio reception?
All class d amps cause fm interference, it’s best to have a rear mounted mast antenna. Led lighting causes even worse interference, hidden antennas never work well in the fairing, a lot of people will claim their amp causes less interference but I have no way to accurately test this.
Any amp we have tried that had some SERIOUS POWER messed with FM reception on a Harley. The louder you turn it up, the worse it gets. ARC included. Moving power wires and amp orientation barely changed it along with antenna cable and antenna placement. iHeart radio streaming if you want FM is my recommendation.
