I attended Roger Waters gig around 2 years ago. The whole gig was amazing! Felt like it was a dream.
And Lucius performing the backing vocals was such an amazing surprise! They brought so much to the table. Love them♥️
I was terrified, seeing this on the setlist before going to see Us and Them yesterday. They started singing Great Gig in the Sky, and they totally blew me away, so much passion in their voice, doing exactly what Pink Floyd was hoping for at the original.. using the voice as a musical instrument... Roger and Lucius did an amazing job on achieving exactly that.
Absolutely phenomenal version of this song! Lucius was amazing the entire show!

Mind blown... Great video. I recently have succumbed to Lucius and their amazing harmonies. Coincidently I have rediscovered Pink Floyd and have been listening to Dark Side of the Moon almost daily. Little did I know that this tour had happened, so wish I could have been there! Thank you.

Chills like crazy... One of my favourites from Pink Floyd. They did an awesome job.
Having seen them perform with Roger I became curious and started watching their performances on UA-cam. I'm totally hooked. They are so much more than just the backing singers for Roger, their own performances over the past 10 years are brilliant and beautiful, uplifting and original.
Truly one of the most memorable live performances I have ever seen. Thanks for capturing this!

Lucius are incredible. Saw them in London last year and their harmonies are flawless. They're so underrated. Also a big fan of this song & think they did a wonderful job, though I'll admit I am biased being a huge fan of theirs! But their music is 100% worth checking out!
will you be at Union Chapel next september? they just released an acoustic album which is great. I loved their "WIldewoman" but next one was nothing special to me... I am running to the record store for this new one though.. full of their harmonies plus acoustic guitars... Including the wonderful Tempest from Wildewoman....
Got my tickets the moment the pre-sale started! I actually prefer Good Grief over the debut, it came out just after I'd been through a break-up so it healed me! Acoustic stuff usually bores the shit out of me but I can't not love everything that Lucius do, Nudes has some truly beautiful moments.

This has always been, and always will be, my favorite Pink Floyd song. It's a song that is just so inspiring and heartfelt. Like the light shining through the prism on the D.S.O.T.M. album cover implies, it touches on every shade of the "human emotional spectrum" imaginable; and all, without a single word being sung. Thanks for uploading this version. A timeless classic in every sense of the word. ("Amazing", "brilliant", "awesome",... there's not enough words in the English language to give this song proper praise.)
Something bothered me in your description here, though, Mr. Kavanaugh, (and I say this with no offense intended and with all due respects), and maybe I am,... just a little too "word-sensitive" sometimes... but in the true spirit of Roger Waters, of Pink Floyd, and on behalf of all musical artists everywhere: there can really be no ''upstaging'' in a case such as this. Anyone who's ever been involved in the creation of music, and/or part of a band, I'm sure, will realize exactly what I'm trying to say, here. I prefer the words "enhancing", or "highlighting". ;o)

My god, finally! It’s like none of these people have heard the original. They sang the outline of the piece minus all of the dynamics of Clair’s part. The adulation for this mediocre performance is astounding.

was not impressed. in the least with this particular rendition of great gig in the sky. totally wrong! my daughter was heart broken as its her favorite song.
I actually agree i have seen roger more then a few times back in 07 On the Dark side tour (and multiple times on the Wall tour as well) and that version was WAY better then this. I dont really agree with changing a song that was perfect to begin with not to mention a song on one of the most iconic and best rock albums in the history of music.
How can this be considered right or wrong? You may have not been impressed by this, which is totally fine, just astoundingly surprising. I was at this show and I loved hearing something a little different than what was on the album. Their harmonies are tight, they each have a great vibrato, and the entire thing is executed with so much soul.
I saw these ladies live and they blew me away with their range and how beautifully it was done. Amazing women with talent.
I believe that there is no way to emulate how the song sounded and felt on the original track and much rather doing something different that isn't trying to copy the original
DELETEDSTARKO the singer on the 07 tour was amazing. I remember her absolutely nailing GGitS, the crowd popping, and her grin that went on for miles.
That being said... what lucious did, combined with the adjustments on Welcome to the Machine, I think are great interpretations of the songs that are over 40
Years old at this point.
I saw Floyd on the Pulse tour, and that version of GGitS sucked.
