this masterpiece of a song will never not give me chills
Every time I hear this song the melody & truths of the lyrics just punch me in the gut. The whole album is a masterpiece.
The first night I heard this song 3 months ago, I ran and ordered the CD and now it plays in my car on repeat.
I've heard probably a dozen or so different live versions of this song by now. But this one in particular has a certain arc to it. Something about the way it builds at the end of the bridge onwards to the end of the song. The band really drives it home those last two choruses. Maybe it's the way it's mixed, but it's a stunning performance.
