The stories in legend of Zelda saved my life, giving me an escape from a rough childhood, these games taught me to survive, please do this justice, and thank u
Same here. When I was lonely, when I was getting bullied at school, through every broken heart, and depression, any problems I encountered, I would play Zelda. I looked up to Link and I wanted to be like him, humble and courageous.
Glad this isn’t being handled by some soulless exec who knows nothing about the game. I’m still nervous for you, though. Zelda seems like an incredible hard property to adapt, along with an incredibly devoted fan base who will be ANGRY if you mess it up.

So long as another company or director/executive producer with a tighter grip on the characters ala Marvel Studios, James Gunn, Lord & Miller producers like Arad can be held back. Not that he necessarily needs to all the time. He's produced good stuff too like I aluded to earlier. Since Nintendo over this film I have faith
Please... Not like Lord of the Rings. It needs to feel like the world is bright and colourful, contrasted with the dark threat and not being long and drawn out, mostly travelling and talking. I want it to feel like live action anime and not be gritty.
Literally my favorite games of all time. I grew up with LOZ as well. My favorite games are OOT, Twilight princess, and Majora's mask. I think I would like the movie better if we can hear him speak. Though if he doesn't speak I would still go see the movie and still like it. I know he speaks in the games, you just can't hear his dialog. I really hope that this live action is a good adaptation. It is my favorite game series of all time. I can't wait to see it when it comes out. Super excited and a bit anxious. I hope it's not disappointing ❤
So Nintendo doesn’t want anybody talking about it. If that’s the case, then I simply don’t want to hear anything about it because we all know if anything leaks then Nintendo will shut that 💩 down.
I already heard link will speak. The creator mentioned that link in the game is supposed to be you. The movie will have link speak. More serious. This Zelda will be like twilight princess
Link better talk. Whats funny, if it were still the 80s, a film with silent Link would work because of films like Dark Crystal, NeverEnding Story & the og Dune. The 80s had alot of...not quiet films, but films with little dialogue. But today? With the Zelda franchise so known, Link better damn well talk. The question is, what should his tone be? Im thinking of Legolas from LoTR.
Remember that idea for the 3DS interactive Zelda movie what if they go with that approach but with a smart phone instead of a 3DS or something would rather them not take that approach just saying
This would be cool. Mario got to talk in his movie. His character was fine. He was heroic, lovely and not too annoying. I hope that is what Link gets. That is what he needs the most. I rewatched the Mario movie lately. I noticed an odd quirk. Mario occasionally calls his brother Lou as a nickname. That is funny. I never thought of Lou as being short for Luigi, but whatever. Bowser sometimes says Peaches as plural, when he refers to the princess. That is odd indeed.
The Mario Movie showed me that nintendo wasn't going to allow hollywood to trample all over the IP with their political narcassism. If they hold with the same conviction for the Zelda movie, then it has the potential to be stupendous. These games were my childhood, and it would be a huge loss to see it be handled poorly
@@madnessarcade7447 General politics is fine when it pertains to the actual fictional universe. Take Star Wars for example, I love it and it's loaded to the brim with politics, but all of it pertains to the fictional universes context. It's when producers/directors use movies and popular IPs as their megaphone to stroke their own egos and real world political agendas that have nothing to do with the story that I find immensely off-putting.
This could be the next lord of the rings if done right

This is a holy comment I will pray to it every day (not literally) it would be so dope if my parents watched it
Yessssssssssssssssssssss
It won’t be. Same producer as the borderlands movie. Just another failed cash grab

I have a bit of faith in this project. The Wes seems to have a real love for the game
Sorry champ. The producer is the same as the borderlands movie

I don’t think Nintendo will mess this up, they killed it with the Mario movie and Shigeru will likely oversee much of the project as he did with Mario

You must've completely forgotten about Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask.

What Wes said about Zelda is exactly how I and hopefully most fan feel about it.
Don’t fuck it up.

I think Wes is the right guy at the right time to make the Zelda universe move to the big screen..
I have faith in Wes Ball, but that writer is still a really odd choice
But link took a vow of silence
Only in one game, dude. Not the entire series.
The obly way I see it being successful is if it's like the super Mario bros movie. Stay the course.

Zelda has politics though
Sure fantasy politics but it’s still politics

The Mario movie was terrible and poorly made.
They hire the guy who's written nothing but awful sequels and your main concern is the Zelda movie might be too political?
the eye roll seemed so disingenuous
