I believe you can hold the FUNC button and select tracks to simultaneously mute or unmute the selected tracks (when releasing the FUNC button), just like the Analog Rytm. That is something I really missed on the DT MK1. I don't have a Digitakt at the moment, but that would be something together with some of the things you mentioned in the video for which I would buy the DT2.
You mentioned the Octatrack - can you notice a difference in sound quality? Would you use both together? Love my Octatrack and not sure whether to get the Digitakt 2 … thanks so much and great to hear your insights.
I haven’t compared them side by side, but I don’t think either unit sounds bad or lacking in anyway. I’d be happy to use both together if I had a need to.
Sold the MC-707 ? I'm probing the power of the Elektron sequencer and conditional trigs to not only play the notes, but sequence and modify the Zen-Core engine in real time (through Knob CCs triggering Sys-CTRL 1-4). Sounds promising. Only two boxes.
would a DT2 work for 'live sampling' performance situation, like sampling phrases from a modular or efx send, then looping and live mangling/remixing? Or is the sampling process a bit too involved to be able to stay in the flow of a live groove? I'm tying to decide on it vs a modular sampler like the morphogene or squid sampler or something like that.
There's a way to do it, but yeah it's probably more involved than most people would want for that kind of thing. The Octatrack would excel for that though!
I needed a change. Amazing speakers, but I got tired after 12 years of having these massive blocks of wood towering over me all the time. Wanted to make the studio more open feeling and less oppressive. Sounds weird I know, but it was really starting to get to me. :) The Barefoot Footprint 01's are pretty sweet though, they'll hold me over until I find something better.
I wasn’t even thinking about TE, there’s lots of groove boxes and such for live use that cost a lot more. MPC Studio, MV8000, ARMKII, OT, etc. Heck my MC505 was almost $1500 back in the day.
My favorite box! Nice video
I like a lot the presets management in combination with sound pool for quick sound locks
Agreed!

Top review as usual
Wait what happened to the gigantinc speakers from yesteryear?

❤❤❤
the Master approves 😌 Elektron being "a little bit cheaper" might be a bit cocky but the other Swedes took it away..

It's Dig Y, not didge Y. Do you dig a hole or do you didge a hole??!! 😂😅😂
But do you say “digital” or “diggy-tal” ? 🤔
@@McEnroe911Digital isn't the name of a synth from a Swedish company! Jajaja I'm just teasing, but we could be here all day!
