I loved Eddie Jones his first few seasons as a Laker. The man could jump out of the building. When he dunked on Bradley in Philly the crowd started chanting ‘Eddie Eddie.’ He’s one of the greatest players that no one ever talks about or really remembers.
I always talk about him. Eddie just reminds me of a mid level player that came into the league an above average C+ type player that could hold his own against most of the best at his position .A savy 3dribble swing man with a Super Quick 1st step and a Quality outside shot. Overall EJones was a coaches dream .
Eddie was my favorite player when I first started watching basketball almost 30 years ago. I was pissed when they traded him to Charlotte but I still followed him as much as I could.. sucks there was no internet back in those days

I thought one of the dunks that would be on this video would be this reverse that he did in Sacramento around the time his name was coming up in trade rumors for (I think) Mitch Richmond. He went off in that game for something like 30 pts. which was a lot back then.
I love Chick Hearn's exaggerations - from the free-throw line lol. Reminds me of when he'd call a Shaq baseline jump hook from 12 ft tops a 17-footer. RIP Legend.

used to watch the temple games here in nyc on channel 55(it was some nj channel) just to watch him. i remember those teams of him,aaron mckie,rick brunson, and tony batite

Does anyone remember who the Lakers got in return for trading Eddie Jones? I know removing him gave Kobe his opportunity and freedom to start and begin his journey. But I’m sure, with hindsight being 20/20. Keep him and then they don’t need Glenn Rice( I think I might have just answered my own question). Eddie’s a better defender, he can shoot the three ( not as great as Rice but they wasn’t using him like that anyway, and he was such a Swiss Army knife. He could do whatever your team needed.
