Thank you for this awesome vid. I became a Lakers fan just as kobe came into the league that 98 lakers team is my most favorite squad, Steady Eddie always is one of my all time favorite players
Still one of my favorite players. Because of Kobe, Jones is out, because of Wade, Jones is out...95-96 Lakers are so fun to watch. It's like showtimes is back. Those were the days
Thanks a lot, man! EJ is my all-time favorite player. He was very good but never great. Wonder if he reached his maximum potential and if the Lakers would have been champs if they kept him.
IMO if they would have kept elden Campbell,VanExel along with Phil Jackson getting nick to buy into the triangle offense because Eddie Jones was already a natural mesh for pass and cut and pick nroll pattern offenses. They could've won atleast 1
@@carlwallace1129I don’t think that Phil wasn’t with the Lakers yet when Eddie Jones was traded. Wished he was never traded when Phil arrives, because as a quick slasher type of player, he could’ve benefited more in that triangle offense.
VanExel brought the sauce to L.A. and was the Original FREAKSHOW before Kobe however E.Jones was a classic 3 and D swingman before it got popular along with being a 2dribble type that could mesh with almost any team with his willingness to move the ball to open teammates.
If only they had a player to play center and Brian Grant will come off the bench at 4 or 5, that Heat team will be much tougher and might go all the way to the Finals
Yeah Jones and Cedric was great at 2 and 3 If only Cedric wasn’t traded together with Shaq, Kobe & VEx. Those 5 players in the history could’ve been the first 5 all star players in one team. Plus if Magic had tried for one more season together with Shaq, it could’ve been 6 all-star players playing on one team. Shaq was actually anticipating playing with Magic
Eddie Jones deserves to be in the HoF. If the Lakers didn’t trade EJ to the Hornets and is included in the Lakers three peat titles, his jersey will be hanging in the rafters of the Staples Center
That's it... ...the "Steady Eddie" prototype needs to resurge in a 2.0 type fashion in modern ball. Hopefully for my Pacers. That will be a factor/[superposition] that Quantum Physics can't figure. But THAT...with a stature and acumen of...say...Dennis Rodman? Indomitable on ALL fronts. 😎
Eddie Jones was the Best player in LA before he got traded bottom line. Everywhere he went he was the All-star. Eddie Jones started Every game ahead of Kobe, then Kobe's time And LA had to move The guy ahead of Him Eddie Jones was moved because LA went all in trading Divac for a Teenager. It worked out for Everyone, Black Mamba was super talented but a kid and too raw & Eddie Jones was just the player the Leader of those Lakers to Help Mature young bucks game for his time in the spotlight. Eddie Jones deserves to be in the Hall, compared to who and how many of the 2k players are already getting looked at, higher scoring less defense , The NBA needs to take another look at a true leader true Superstar, Eddie Jones
Yeah, Eddie would be better categorized as an all time great role player, not quite hall of fame caliber. He was streaky and would be a non factor either if his hot streak ended or for an epically hyped matchup. But that’s not to say being an elite all time role player is a consolation prize if that puts him in a small group of elite all time role players.
@@MikeJay-on5tt yea like a dollar tree version at best. .lol Eddie Jones was more like a mechanical prime Ron Harper with a Outside shot but with adequate ball handles .RON HARPER actually had nice handles in Cleveland and with the clippers before he blew his knees out
Thank you for this awesome vid. I became a Lakers fan just as kobe came into the league that 98 lakers team is my most favorite squad, Steady Eddie always is one of my all time favorite players
he was my all time nba player that i like most and watch most of his game go eddie.....

Eddie was amazing,! So glad he was honored in one of your vids.
Thanks for watching, appreciate the support! 🏀
my favorite player in the 90s. Thanks for showing him some love

Yes! He would've had one at least because they won the chip the following year

2:47 I have that jersey, 29 years with😁

Yeah him, Nick and Cedric were a great 3.

Same
Charlotte Hornets Eddie Jones was so underrated 🐐🔥
Yup, EJ was their main primary option, while also still guarding the main sg player on the opposing team
Thank you for this good piece! detailed and precise, hope you guys keep striving.
03-04 Heat team was fun to watch.
If only they had a player to play center and Brian Grant will come off the bench at 4 or 5, that Heat team will be much tougher and might go all the way to the Finals
My favorite player
Same
Was my favorite player
Great vid, Love those Lakers! Pre SHAQ. EJ was my dads favourite player hands down. Ceballos is my guy tho. Love to see your breakdown of Cedric.
Ceballos was the best at moving without the ball. Great instincts.
Yeah Jones and Cedric was great at 2 and 3

I always hated that the Lakers traded him away. He would have thrived in the triangle offense that the Lakers installed the year adrer he was traded.
That Hornets court is still the greatest court art in history
I'M A LAKERS FAN, and I AGREE COMPLETELY.
The pre cursor of Kobe Bean Bryant and special in his own regards too
"Easy" #EddieJones SNEAKY BOUNCE 🤾🏾♂️ GOOD J, GOOD DEFENDER! 💯

Lakers should have kept him even with Kobe coming up
He was traded for Glen Rice.
Am I wrong?

Who wants to buy eddie jones card....the aerial artist card
Eddie, nick van Exel & ceballos 👍

Man we won the championship after training Jones away smh. It wasn't his in his cards to het a chip..He was my guy before Wade came.
Sadly, the lakers focused on kobe. Eddie Jones was out.
Funny thing that Eddie Jones was Kobe Bryant to some degree also.
