@@8ballphil150 I liked the alcohollock, for drivers who had drunk themselves over the limit and were caught driving. Even without causing an accident. In my country it also cost a lot of money until you were freed of it. It isn't used anymore here. Such a shame, cause drivers were confronted with what they had done every time they wanted to drive their car. Plus they couldn't drink and drive anymore for quite a while.

The *one* thing that is so frustrating to everything these guys try to do is that these criminals are back out on the street in days-often hours-it makes so little sense.
And that's why so much of them will continue to exist, if not increase.

10 years well remember a judge only has a set number of amount of years he can give per day..its all run right from the police cells right to ppl getting released it's why it's best getting sentenced at the end of the day cos chances are the judge has came to his last few years he can give out...so giving a car jacket 10x more than he got means giving 3 sex offenders 3 years each instead of 6 years and it happends all the time so giving sum1 more means the sick crimes the ppl are getting less..cos back 2 the start there is only so many years a judge can give otherwise iff they went over with every1 in a months time there would be nowhere to put any1..everything works on how many ppl they're is same with everything in earth overcrowding is the worse thing there is..cos healthcare social services rspca homeless everything benefits it all gets affected women popping out kids then dont look after them then they get thrown in a care home to get abused

This was an old helicopter that was due to be retired by the newer EC-145s seen in this episode they have much bigger fuel tanks

@@charliehall4839 I realised some time ago that the UK human-rights legislation was never intended to cover the general public, - only individual wrong-doers.
It's just as frustrating in Canada. The name says it all, the 'Criminal Justice System' is just that, undue justice for the criminals at the expense of the victims. And they wonder why vigilantism is so high, I'd rather call a bike gang to get justice than trust it to the justice system. I can't imagine being a cop and putting my life on the line so some judge who lives in a perfect bubble can let the creeps walk. I always figured that Judges should have a family member raped, murdered, assaulted or robbed, so they'd know what victims go through, I can guarantee their attitudes would change then wouldn't they. Time to move them out of their gated communities and estate homes into the real world!

Helicopters are not so good today. Drones are better cheaper and faster to deploy. Local drones can be carried onboard with screens in the car.

The MBB helicopter is mainly used as a MEDIVAC in the US.
EC145s aren't as common in the UK, the larger size isn't necessary in most cases. 4 police helis and 4/5 air ambulances so a small minority for us

Failure to stop should always result in the offender having to pay for all and any damages caused. A student can be landed with many £thousands of debts in pursuit of education and employment. Facts. This is another reason why crime is on the rise; criminals don't pay the full price for their crimes.
No offence but why do so many people ask such random and questionable stuff in these comments? Just to clarify some things...
1. This TV show is about 15 years old, today they have newer more capable helicopters and better technology.
2. The show is just following the missions of the then various police air support units across the UK, today they have all since merged to form a single national police air service (NPAS).
3. No drones can't fully replace or do what helicopters can do, but they can work alongside them though which is what they do.
4. Yes a number of people in London are non-white becuase it's a large metropolis with over 8 million people, it's like the UK's equivalent of New York City and it doesn't mean the whole country is black or muslim or has been "taken over".
5. Police helicopter crews have nothing to do with child grooming gangs, covers up's or the "big bad government". They just provide aerial reconnaissance when requested to ground units chasing suspects or looking for missing people then head back to base, probably for a well needed tea or coffee.
6. Unless you are a cop and have been for years don't judge and criticize every little move they make or thing they do, like yeah it would be cool if a cop just hung out the window of the cop car and blasted the suspects tires with a shotgun, but this is real life not Hollywood.
7. This is the UK where British cops use decades old tactics and means to catch suspects and deal with crime, just becuase they might do it different in your country where your cops may shove a baton up a suspects ass to get them to talk or raid the suspects mothers house with rifles and tear gas at 5am for skipping bail on a small scale drug possession warrant doesn't mean they need or want to do that here in this civilized country where cops are accountable for their actions and decisions.

These episodes are old and now many forces are using drones for various tasks with a high degree of success, freeing up the helicopter for more serious incidents.
The carthieves will get 3 months probation and a 50 pound fine probably.
