Sad to see folks with high end gear complain about a 1200.00 bargin! For the humble, this is a blessing! True analog, poly aftertouch. It's a no brainer. Even as a midi controller, it is a home run. You can map your vst to the correct knobs labeled already. Your loss.

I too am having twinges of regret about my brief association with the UBXa. I had hoped to replace an Oberheim Matrix 6, 6r and programmeras on paper it offered a similar palette plus polyAT and less space. It certainly sounds good and probably would sound even better with time spent, but side by side with the Oberheims, it was just missing something, a certain heft. I knew I would regret selling the Matrix combo and, in an alternative universe I would add the UBXa as third layer. For anybody wanting a decent analogue poly, it's a lot of synth for the money for sure, go try one.
Hi! I'm waiting for something like Andromeda A6 from Behringer or like MFB Synth Pro. Need a real multitimbral _analog_ synth! Also I miss oscillators cross-mod feature. IDK why synth developers doesn't like to include it in analog synths these days.
Never had an issue with poly d, but it has a different usecase (not so much 2 handed chords), thats why tje ubxa needs a better keybed. But maybe i just need to get better with playing piano, i am a guitarist

Shame abt the keybed, exactly why I don't want to waste space on a large keybed that isn't as good as a Rev 2 or others. The Osmose will partner perfectly with this. Desktop seems the way to go as it was teased back in 2019.
@@JohnTrasher it was quite a time apart, remembering this was Uli's 1st synth. I don't think there would be as a large gap now compared to then. Given the tease was done in 2019, and it was not just a rendering but the real thing, many will opt for the smaller module, which is what Behringer are well known for. I'm not trying to get your hopes up, just thinking out a loud. I just don't have the room for keys. It also now becomes the focus too much as a center piece which is opposite of what I want.

Well the keybed for the poly d is fine, because i mostly play bass with it and not two hand chords. The keybed is a littke soft/respinsive and i needed to be extra careful not to hit wrong / adjacent notes
